Who knew that just finding a place that sells books would be so hard? After walking through Unison Central for what seemed like hours in search of a store that suited his needs Kurai finally stumbled upon a bookstore. 'Kitty's Novel Idea' huh? The name was pretty good and the outside looked cute enough. He could only hope the items inside were just as good.

Upon entering the store Kurai was impressed at the sudden change. He whistled before donning a mock British accent for a moment as he expressed his surprise. “Wow. It's bigger on the inside...” The services on offer were interesting as well. He only expected books and perhaps a small cafe, but the potion cauldron and anvil were unusual. How many more services could this place provide if given the chance?

While he looked around the shelves for something of interest Kurai ran his hand along the spines of the books he passed. It took a few minutes for him to find something that caught his eye. The pentacle on the back of his hand glowed red upon touching one of the books on the bestseller shelf. “You.” A smile spread across his face as he examined what his hand reacted to before bringing it up to the counter for purchase. He found a few more items that caught his eye on his way. A comic about a man who causes misfortune and an old scroll. “I'll take this book. These others for good measure.”

Kitty looked up from her book as she heard a customer entering, apparently talking to himself. At least he wasn't as loud as some of their frequent customers. She marked her place and closed the book, reluctantly making her way to the front counter to prepare for the impending arrival of her newest customer.

"Welcome." She said this in a flat voice, sounding neither upset about the interruption nor excited about the purchase about to take place. Neutral, much like her expression. "Would you like to take advantage of any of our other services today?" In the past, she would've never willingly suggested a stranger spend more time in her shop, but Jeanne-Marie had slowly retrained her to accept the idea of actually appreciating their customers. This new world had no trust funds, unfortunately.

After purchasing the mysterious book from the shopkeeper Kurai opened it to see what was inside. He'd ended up buying the thing without actually checking what it was about since his hand reacted to it. Once he did he saw why as it was about how to draw hands. An odd choice for a pentacle connected to Hell to choose, but he could see the connection at least. His hand called out to more hands.

When Kitty asked about the other services the shop offered Kurai caught something out of the corner of his eye. A small black egg sitting nearby called out to him as well. He was finding all sorts of interesting objects today. He picked it up and to his surprise, it felt like some sort of rubber toy. After giving it a few very light squeezes it even bounced back and stretched like rubber! “Weird. Alright, I'll take this too, but I think that'll be it for today.” He turned over the points for his additional purchase before sliding it into his inventory for later. Once he got back to the guild he knew just what he was going to do with it.

Enigma heard of this book store from other players, especially since it was more or less a hole in the wall/ However, that meant that there were things worth exploring if no one managed to do so yet, which was right up Enigma's alley.

butterfly effect You teleport to a location you can see within 60 feet of you, leaving behind a copy of yourself that continues to talk and act like you normally would, this ability lasts 2 posts, and on the second post you can repeat this effect. The copy remains there for 2 posts, and will then explode in a 20ft radius dealing damage equal to your [PWR] on the third post. If this copy is attacked before detonation, it automatically explodes in a doubled radius. Those with a [WIL] similar to or higher than your [MAGI] can tell this is an illusion. If a target is struck by the explosion and your [MAGI] is higher than the target's [DEF] they are [cursed] for 2 posts lowering their [DEF] and [VIT] by 25%. This ability has a 4 posts cooldown.

razzle dazzle One of your butterflies glows and explodes in a 15-meter diameter. It does not damage the target(s) of your choice within range of it. It checks your [MAGI] against opponents [DEF]. If you win the check you can the status effect [false success] or [failure] on yourself or a target of your choosing. If you choose [false success] the target is left with a "subliminal message of success" an illusion that affects all 5 senses coats you and your allies making it appear as if they have been hurt and damaged to a degree of your choosing. If you choose [failure] the target is left with a "subliminal message of failure" causing the target to think whatever they did failed simply because of their capabilities lacking.

These status effects cannot be tracked back to this ability through another ability, or skill. These are psionic status effects that cause their mind to slip slightly. In doing so as long as the targets are affected under those status effects you can cancel out one ability, attack, or defense of a target once per turn. This ability lasts 2 posts and has a 4 post cooldown.
