"Yeah, uh huh, yep, yeah, I've got it. Jeez, Clairy! I said I've got it handled, if there's any info that can be found about her around there you know I'll find it," Valentine said, letting out a small sigh before finishing with a "Yeah, I love you too bro, wai- What do you mean I'm 2 hours late?" Then he was kicked into the waypoint, a strong roundhouse by his brother and the only words mused out Saint Claire's mouth were "Roadhouse!" Followed by obnoxious laughter.[break][break]

"You fucker!" Valentine screamed as he had finished passing through the waypoint, the momentary flash of light plaguing his vision before it came fully back into focus. He glanced around to see he was back in New York City, oh how he missed it, not really, at least not since the world went to shit and Clairy got tired of raiding shopping centers with him for clothes.[break][break]

Moving swiftly Valentine pressed his knees to the ground, and astral projected, before standing his physical body upright. He checked the interior of this so-called 'League's temporary headquarters' and he spotted three people all of whom seemed pretty normal to him, in the world has gone to shit but you've managed to keep some of your sanity kind of way, anyway. Valentine made his way into the headquarters with his physical body, waiting for it to catch up to his astral one who had been standing far enough to see rather than overhear the conversation amongst the trio. Valentine eventually stepped into the spot his astral body rested, his eyes fluttered open as his two "bodies" became one again and he walked he placed both his hands in the ear. "Uh, I come in peace?" He said with a slightly uncertain tone. Clearing his throat he quickly followed up with, "if you're peaceful to me that is," he gave a wide grin.[break][break]

Pressing his fingers to the bridge of his nose before letting out a small sigh. He let his long braids shake to the side, a byproduct of his head shaking from left to right as he glanced up slowly at the others who had now stood in front of him and been unceremoniously subjected to his cheesy late arrival thanks to his younger brother. Granted Clairy had just found out about the mission and had to verify it before he passed it along, it couldn't have all been easy or speedy. [break][break]

"Name's Valentine, but I go by Val or Qupid too, I'm a scout first and foremost and have a little bit of experience with a spear," he said with a calm tone.[break][break]

"I'm here to join this mission, I have a personal reason as to doing so, but I'll do my best to stick to the most efficient method of saving others," Valentine chimed on before bowing slightly. "I look forward to working with you all," he placed his right hand on his hip, relaxed, and then waited for the others to respond.

Valentine's eye's watched as the stone eye rolled from the table and Nikolas scrambled to catch it and compose himself. Though he did think it was odd that a man would attempt to clean or polish a stone on his clothes. Valentine just chopped it up to the average person not caring about the fabric of their clothes. Though considering the world had gone to shit he guessed there were more pressing issues for people to be worried about, most people anyway.

Valentine nodded to the man as he spoke. However, he raised an eyebrow at this place being unique and in some supposed alley, "that's not sketchy at all," Valentine said sarcastically with a smile, granted such a setup like leading him down an alleyway to ambush him was less likely to work as smoothly as the ordinary person thought it would. Either that or the guy was a whore, well, "that's one way to get points" he thought, a small smile pressing at the corners of his lips.

"Phew~ Okay, the Forge, cool, cool, cool..." Valentine said with a sigh of relief as he followed the man after he had made it clear he wasn't a prostitute which Valentine was thankful for as he knew the blond-haired man would get no points from him, considering he wasn't his type. "I've been to the forge before under special circumstances, how can you just access it? Wait, does your special offer mean you can access the forge whenever you want?" Valentine said, the pieces coming together.

From what he knew the Forge only appeared on occasion after something big like an event or hard mission, maybe a dungeon clear but this guy could just go to it? Or was it that they had to complete some kind of mission first? Well, one thing was for sure the guy had piqued Valentine's curiosity.

"Alright works for me, I'll be back in a week's time," Valentine said leaving the store, he had no issue leaving his stuff with Olliver, for one he trusted the man and for two he knew that if he needed to get in and out of a place unseen to take something back, it was well within his power, that said he'd rather not have to do that at all, but hey the power to walk through walls was something he was still hoping to test. For purely practical reasons of course, like entering that fancy clothing store in NY that was locked down harder than fort knocks, or snooping through the white house hoping to find something in its secret bunker. Who knew, time would tell. If anything he didn't wish for things to get harder than need be, especially because of the business relationship he had with Ollie. So he hoped things would go smoothly, in fact, he was sure they would. After all, his horoscope did say to "seek out new business ventures" when he had read it earlier in the day.

Noticing that the creature was angry, Valentine reared his spear back and launched it once more, this time he speared into the creatures torso, before running up, grabbing the spear and ramming his body into he creature with all his might. The creature welled and screamed, striking out at Valentine with its tendrils, they struck, hitting him the side. He heard a crack and felt his body go tumbling to the side, the damage only lessened thanks to Pori occupying the creatures attention and them being able to knock it off balance. [break][break]

Valentine rolled as he fell, the act more instinctual rather than intentional thanks to all the fall training he did with his father when he was young. One of the most common things all martial arts taught was how to fall properly, and Jeet Kun Do was no different. He started forward again, this time grabbing on to his spear, pushing it further into the black oose that had become... Solid, now that it had mixed with his items poison. Perhaps it was like an coagulant of sorts, like snake venom almost. Valentine smiled, stabbing into the hardened pieces of the monster, it screamed, welled and lashed out at the two of them more trying to stretch its body out and wrap itself around Valentine in one last ditch effort, but Valentine stabbed ferishouly until finally the black creature lost form, falling over him like a black goo like shell, he grabbed the now black fleshy remains of the creature and tossed it into his inventory, he liked the feel of it, it was like a well used suit. But such thoughts could only be entertained for a second, for after he found himself get dizzy from the pain, and subsequently pass out.[break][break]

He felt his body getting carried after that, the musing and feeling of slime and awoke in the hideout Pori had made for himself. He found naught but a simple not stating that she had gone on an adventure, to leave snacks as repayment, and to leave as soon as he was able. Thus Valentine did just that, left the drinks and snacks she had enjoyed with him the day prior, winced at the wounds he had an endured, and trudged his way back to the waygate, stopping to the occasional break to rest his battered body, and to scout out the area for safety via astral projection. It only took about an hour of slowly moving through the roving slimes, but Valentine was soon home free. He checked his inventory to see if he had gained anything new, and made a mention to check back in on and destroy that weird slime that had eaten the guitar wielding boy, and to see how Pori was doing from time to time. He wondered what the young girl was up too, he was sure that once he got ahold of his sister again, Pori would probably be a fun friend for her to have. The thought of which made him smile as he look toward a new day, and adventure. [break][break]

Valentine smiled at the portly man, glancing from his green eyes, Valentine instead turned his attention to the mans wares. His eyes glanced over the man and he couldn't help but think that Ollie had gotten stronger. Though it was hard to tell considering stats didn't actually alter your physical appearance. "Hm, I think I'll probably tackle a few of those things myself, but beforehand I have to make a few preparations," Valentine said with a sly smile. He was on his way to taking his next step forward, his path to becoming something that could take on whoever it was that had his sister. He knew she had been taken, now it was just time to get her back, but he knew, he could tell he was going to ned to get a lot stronger in order to accomplish that.[break][break]

Valentine laughed softly back, he pondered the items, and watched as a few others came to buy wares. Choosing not to waste any longer in his decision he decided to buy the item, especially looking over its description, seeing that the item had been "appraised" by Ollie. He wondered if he could get him to appraise an item of his own. "I'll take the wand for sure Ollie, but I also would like to get an item of mine appraised if that's alright." [break][break]

Pulling out his spear from his inventory, Valentine let the weapon rest in both his palms. His syringe spear had been a trusty item thus far, he hoped he could improve it if possible.

"Who knew meeting a bear in London with a degree in business could come in handy," Valentine said chuckling to himself as he pressed his hands to the holographic screen in front of him. He still didn't know how to menu worked. He didn't know the secrets of this world, or yet the full scope of it, but what he did know was that he wanted to change his fighting style. He didn't like having to get up close and personal in someone's face. Not with his class, not now, no. He was still too weak for that and he knew it. So when Ollie messaged him about having a wand he reserved toot sweet, and now that he had saved up the points to get it he was damn sure not going to waste any more time. He made his way over to the nearest waygate in the hub quickly fast and in a hurry. Within moments he had passed through making his way into the safe zone. [break][break]

He let a sharp whistle as he looked around, his eyes finally locking on Ollie's storefront. Making his way over, Valentine's eyes scanned the items quickly finding the wand, he turned his attention to Ollie next before smiling, readying his menu, and stating. "When my horoscope told me I was in for a magical day this wasn't what I had in mind, but I'm not complaining," Valentine said, readying himself to transfer the points. "By the way, long time no see.
