An antique director's viewfinder hangs around her neck, very unlike the modern set up she used for her actual work. Even if it isn't up to date, it still functions perfectly well. With this lovely tool she could establish what a shot may look like in lovely 4:3, without having to set a heavy camera in place. Hardly practical, it was purely sentimental. The first director she had worked under left it to her when he passed. It usually remained as a beautiful decorative aspect of her long gone home, and reminder of both where she started and of reminder of who she had lost.

All manner of claims had been as to which director and cinematographer had used this particular tool, as well as what iconic films it had helped craft. She did not believe a word of it, she simply loved it for what it was. As a thought exercise, she would often take it out to see if she could recreate shots from older films. None of these recreations would ever see the light of day. A viewfinder simply finds the view, and Ume was one to simply prove to herself that she could. No challenge was outside of her grasp; no matter how much it relied on spontaneous weather, or how ostentatious its mise-en-scène proved to be.

When dealing with any form of natural terrain or elemental effect you can pick and choose which of the effects actually apply to you. Additionally you may choose to use [VIT] instead of a normal resistance stat when dealing with any terrain ability or skill, such as something that creates a field of fire or a snow storm. Lastly, while in any form of terrain effect you gain a +10% bonus to [MAGI], you may also choose to give up the [MAGI] boost to apply the terrain ignoring effect to all members of your party. The Lady of Vistas is a class capable of great change, all the world can be captured in view and then placed somewhere else to craft the perfect shot. This is done through the use of their [Worldline Superimposer] an augmented viewfinder with additional slots that enables them to slide strange glass slides into to create their impositions. These slides contain Terrain Data that can be used to place that terrain onto a battlefield. [break][break]

The Lady of Vistas starts with 3 sets of Terrain Data that they are capable of using. When activated, the Terrain Data will take over an area around the Lady of Vistas equal to their [VIT] meters in radius, altering the area out to a potentially vast distance. While a Terrain is active, all of its effects are placed onto the battlefield and it will last until it is swapped out, though only one set of Terrain Data may be active at one time. [break][break]

If there is already natural Terrain in place then both will be active and if there is an enemy placed terrain the Lady's Terrain Data will take over if their [MAGI] is greater than the opponent's [MAGI]. To gain new Terrain Data, the Lady of Vistas must spend time in new locations. By completing five topics in an area, the Lady of Vistas may choose to gain a new Terrain Data based on the area they completed the topics in, to gain more Terrain Data from the same area, it increases by 5 each time, so 5 for the first, 10 more for the second, 15 more for the third, etc. [break][break]

Lastly the Lady of Vistas may unleash a bolt of elemental energy based on the 'damage type' of the Terrain Data they currently have active, at a range of their [MAGI] in meters and dealing elemental damage equal to their [MAGI]-1 Rank, once per post. [break][break]

Damage Type: Lightning [break]
Description: A heavy rainstorm, dark clouds covering the skies, rain lashing down like stinging needles and harsh winds blowing across the battlefield. [break]
Effects: While in the rainstorm any ranged abilities or attacks have their range reduced by 25% and the [SPD] of all creatures in the Rainstorm is reduced by 10%, increased to 30% if the creature is flying. Lastly any fire damage is reduced by 50% while in the rainstorm. [break][break]

Description: A large body of water that has been troubled by terrible cold, the entire surface sealing over and becoming a treacherous battlefield for any to fight in. [break]
Effects: While on the Frozen Lake, [SPD] is increased by 20% however all creatures can only move in straight lines, this doesn't apply if they are flying or levitating. Any damage greater than the Lady of Vistas [MAGI] will also cause the ice to shatter and send freezing water up, causing those attacks to deal an additional count of damage equal to the Lady of Vistas [MAGI]-1 Rank to all enemies within five meters of the initial target. Description: Soft dunes and rolling sands cover the battlefield and a blazing sun stares down like a baleful eye, coating the field in overwhelming heat. [break]
Effects: Anyone in the area of Desert Plains will suffer 5% of their [VIT] in damage once every two rounds as the sun bakes them alive. Any Ice damage dealt in this area is reduced by 50% and due to the flat area and clear air, the range of all ranged attacks and abilities is increased by 25%. [break][break]

Description: A wide, winding highway with looping tracks, sharp turns, and cars racing by at high speeds. The roar of engines and screeching tires fill the air. [break]
Effects: Everyone's [SPD] is increased by 1 Rank for the purposes of movement, but not things like ability speed or projectile count. Anyone other than Umeko must roll 1d4 on each of their posts. On a roll of 1, if their [SPD] Rank is lower than Umeko, they take her [MAGI]-1 Rank Bludgeoning damage from a collision. If their [SPD] Rank is higher, they take her [MAGI] Rank and are knocked prone by a crash.[break][break]

World Through a Lens:

The slides of the [Worldline Superimposer] contain additional power that takes a bit of focus to bring out. The Lady of Vistas is capable of activating this latent power to cause additional effects based on the Damage Type of the currently active Terrain Data. Additionally when activating this ability they may choose to double the effects of the currently active Terrain Data for two rounds, though a Terrain Data can only be doubled once per thread. After use, this ability has a 2 round cooldown which cannot be reduced. [break][break]

Lightning: Unleashing the power of the storm allows the Lady of Vistas to take no fall damage and fly at their [SPD] for two rounds and increases the damage of their Core basic attack by 1 rank. [break][break]

Ice: Drawing on the power of the frosts the Lady of Vistas reduces damage from the next attack they take by 25% and their Core basic attack reduces enemy [SPD] by 10% for one round upon being hit, this lasts for 2 rounds. [break][break]

Fire: Internalizing the raging heat of the sun, the Lady of Vistas gains a +10% increase to their [MAGI] for two rounds and their Core basic attack sets enemies aflame causing them to take the Lady of Vistas [MAGI]-2 Ranks, minimum F, in damage at the start of their round, lasting for two posts. Bludgeoning: Your core basic attack is charged with explosive power, increasing its damage by 1 rank and knocking back those hit by 10m. This lasts for two posts.[break][break]

Worldline Superimposer

[Gift] Although superficially resembling a viewfinder this has been heavily augmented with seemingly arcane and esoteric machinery. Looking through it causes the world to take on a hazy, insubstantial quality as though there are dozens of possibilities for the actual reality of what is being seen. There is also a slot for glass slides on the side. This is a required item to utilise the Core of the Lady of Vistas class. [break][break]

ANTHEM Badge

[Class] This seems to be some sort of futuristic patch or sticker in the shape of the Guild symbol that is easily applied to any article of clothing, holding securely unless its owner removes it to reposition the emblem. Wearing this gives you a permanent +20% buff to SPD and MAGI, along with resistance to Piercing, Slashing, Bludgeoning, and Bleeding damage equal to your SPD + MAGI. For those with a flair for the dramatic, touching the badge and/or shouting a catchphrase can manifest several pieces of armor, up to a full suit, that resembles the one worn by ANTHEM's Guild leader. Zony 2000 Digital Camcorder

(Unique) A collector's dream, and the stuff of nightmares for the secondary market, this digital camcorder takes videos and shoots photos like it's the real thing! It was Zony's recreation of a 35mm camera in digital format and handheld for easier transport. You gain a 15% buff to your [WIL] when you have this equipped.[break][break]

The most impressive function of this camcorder is its ability to project things from its lens! Twice per thread, you may point towards a target space at a maximum of 10 meters away. You may then produce an illusion within a 5 meter diameter, which can move as you as you move the camera to follow whatever path your choose. This illusion will look lifelike and real to those whose [WIL] is less rank than yours. This illusion lasts for three posts, though you may end it prematurely. [break][break]

Once every three post, if you are not actively using the camcorder for anything else, you may point it towards a target and shout: "Cheese!" With a click the camera will emit a flash that [Blind]s opponents if their [WIL] is less rank than yours for one post. [break][break]

Chainmail

(Common) Basic chainmail for your adventuring needs! Wearing this gives you armor equal to your [DEF]-1 Rank, capped at B Rank. After being [Defense Broken] 3 times, it becomes unusable for the rest of the thread.[break][break]

Seer's Orb

(Rare) This item can be used as a focus for your attacks and abilities, giving you +15% [MAGI] while held. Three times per thread you can activate the orb to get a ping about the location of anyone within the range of your Terrain Data, including invisible or otherwise hidden foes, but this does not end that effect on them. Variable Landmine

(Uncommon) A set of three. The post after you place one, it arms. When someone comes within 2m, it activates and deals your [PWR] Rank in damage in that area. Whenever you change your Terrain Data, the mine changes to blend in with its new surroundings, and deals the damage type associated with that terrain.[break][break]

Flash Flood
