It was no surprise that Panya had an interest in her home country's mythology. Kurai was very interested in it as well. Thankfully with the pegasus doing most of the work driving the vehicle, he could focus on other things. Like shooting at bikes and talking to his new friend. “Yo I hope so! Some of those deities are pretty dope! Wait if that is Tut's sarcophagus then why aren't you cursed? Or are you and we're secretly doomed to die out here in the desert?”
Once the competitor on the bike was dealt with something else caught his attention. A brief smile appeared on Seere's face and the demon began snickering. Their previous bad mood ended rather abruptly. Kurai could tell right off what this meant. There were very few things that his companion was amused by. They were a hoarder of hidden treasures and what could be more hidden than something only they could answer? At least as far as they knew.
He rolled his eyes and chuckled as he began to speak. “Seere stop messing around and just tell her! You know you're going to give in eventually!” From his display earlier he seemed almost giddy to share what they knew. Or maybe Seere just enjoyed teasing those who asked for his help. All demons were mischievous in their own way after all. “You may ask whatever you wish Panya. As long as my summoner wills it there are no limits to the knowledge I may share. If I can answer then I shall.”
As Seere began to speak things became much more calm as the group prepared to take the first corner. “In the words of you humans: things could be worse. There are times when we bicker, but ultimately I do not mind. Being able to see how your world has changed with my own eyes is worth the inconveniences.”
The demon opened his mouth to say more but was interrupted by the sound of scraping stones and the track rumbling. Far ahead of the pack, an enormous sandstone wall rose from the ground. A deep voice read the words engraved on the blockade. “There are two sisters: one gives birth to the other and she, in turn, gives birth to the first. Who are the two sisters?” Three pairs of images were beneath the riddle. On the left was a sun and moon. The middle symbols were a flame and a water droplet. The last had a cloud and a boulder.
“Damn I forgot about the riddles. There's no doors on the wall. Do they expect us to drive into it and hope for the best?! Bastards!” Kurai grit his teeth as he tried to think which of the answer to pick. “Fuck what do you think we should do?”

Kurai returned the greetings as they all introduced themselves. This group sure was strange. The small girl who was one of the co-founders only spoke in speech bubbles. There were actual catmaids from a cafe. Not to mention all the creatures that Dee Dee pointed out. Lowell seemed to be the only normal one in the bunch. At least they all seemed friendly. Still, he was hesitant to show off his summon and thankfully nobody asked.
As the tour kicked off a voice rang out in his head. 'You seem to attract odd company, Summoner. I am glad to see that you are making friends. You do not appear to have many.' He wasn't sure whether the demon was genuine or mocking him. Their constant monotone when they spoke made it nearly impossible to tell.
The young man was somewhat excited about the tour of the building. It sounded like they'd be looking at where the recruits would be staying during their time with the Guild. Kurai was reminded of the feeling of seeing the dorms at the university for the first time. That first taste of actual freedom from his father. “Will we be getting our own rooms?”

Kurai grumbled a bit when Lowell mentioned their abilities being nerfed. Earth-Chan was starting to get on his nerves. “I'm still level 1. I've been focusing on gathering a different type of resource. So I haven't had much of an opportunity to spend points. Do you feel stronger now that you've leveled up?” His Class gave him an alternate way to gain strength, but the main way to gain stats was through levels. If he wanted to get stronger he'd need to start getting some levels soon himself.
Lowell sounded like he knew what he was doing. Had he done this sort of thing before and that's how he got his Class? The wolves he summoned fit him well. “Did you do much hunting before? You're a natural at this.” A bit of flattery never hurt when making a new partnership.
No sooner did Lowell agree to check out the noise did the creature pop out of the brush. It was a young wolf-like creature. Well, that may be a stretch, but it had a canid form at least. The beast had yellow fur with a green mane, a long rat-like tail, and last but not least it had two heads! “What the hell is that supposed to be?” Kurai whispered to the other man.
It looked around curiously at the group before getting into a playful pose with its rump in the air. It sneezed out a small puff of fire as it charged at one of Lowell's wolves. When it got close it suddenly stood on its hind legs and batted a clawed paw at the summon. “Well, looks like we can get one of those surveys out of the way. At least it's friendly.”

What was with these old farts thinking that just cause someone was young they wouldn't pull their weight. Then he went off on him because he threw a few choice words back at the man when he started the whole thing. Kurai laughed when Rojin started his onslaught of M words. At least they were somewhat creative in their insult. Suddenly his mood changed and he spoke with a much brighter tone than before. “Good one. You really like your M's huh? The name's Kurai.”
Despite Seere's calm face, he was getting quite tired of the man's antics. Rojin kept droning on and was starting to get on the demon's nerves. Kurai's rages were obnoxious, but they were short-lived usually so it was tolerable. In most cases. With how long the man was going on it was hard to ignore how irritating they were becoming. “In truth it was happenstance. When he was given his Class I was bound to serve him by the system.”
Kurai grunted when Rojin hit him in the leg, but didn't make any effort to stand up. “Ugh you really like to listen to yourself talk, don't you? If you want to tire yourself out standing and complaining then be my guest. You can be the bait if something attacks. I'd rather sit here and conserve my energy until something shows up.”
As if on cue something could be heard from the treeline nearby. Seere perked up and firmly grasped his spear. “Stop your bickering, fools. You've attracted something to our location.” Kurai took no time to scramble to his feet when he heard the demon's warnings. He knew better than to argue with their instincts by now.
After a few more moments of rustling three goblins came rushing out of the bushes. Two of them had scimitars while the one at the back wielded a crudely made bow. “Damn I was hoping creatures wouldn't be brave enough to attack a settlement like this.” Seere spoke as they held out their hand and took hold of reigns that appeared in the air in front of them. “I'll take care of the front. Kurai will take the back. You may do as you please.”
A pegasus quickly rose from a red pentacle that formed under their feet. By the time it fully appeared Kurai and Seere were on its back. It quickly dashed forward at an increased speed until it was right in front of the goblin warriors.
The summoner dismounted the house and began sprinting towards the one with the bow with his arm outstretched. Kurai pointed a finger gun at the bowgoblin before putting his thumb flat. The motion caused a pentacle to appear in the air behind him and a red bolt of energy to shoot at his enemy. It rolled out of the way and shot an arrow back at the young man that grazed their side. Thankfully his defense was decent so it didn't cause much damage. “Damn now I'm gonna have to replace this shirt.”
Seere's spear shot forward to strike the monster in the shoulder. It swung its weapon up at the demon in return, but their attack was easily dodged. Despite wearing armor the man was still very nimble. However, he couldn't attract the attention of the third goblin that was making its way to Rojin.

The woman didn't disappoint. There was much more to her than met the eye. At first, she seemed like a fool and, in truth, she still looked that way in Seere's eyes. However, her knowledge and possession of an ancient relic intrigued the demon. Panya's explanation of her class was quite amazing. They listened intently to her recounting the story of her research. “You continue to be intriguing. For a human at least. I suppose since you've shown me something of interest I can allow you an answer or two.” Kurai had to hold back a fake gag as Seere reminded him far too much of his father at that moment. “That is quite a long story, however. Perhaps we should save it for when the race begins.”After seeing the woman get flustered Kurai felt sorry for snapping at Panya summoning her sarcophagus. She looked like a sad puppy that got scolded for something it didn't understand. He wasn't sure whether to pity her or console her. Not that he was any good at the latter. “Yeah. Whatever. It's fine. If you can toss it around like that you wouldn't know how heavy it is. Don't worry about it.” He muttered half under his breath. Not long after the race started five competitors turned into four as Panya crushed a vehicle under the weight of her weapon. Kurai let out a loud woohoo at the destruction and had to keep himself from jumping out of his seat. He was disappointed that he wasn't the one causing chaos, but it was better than nothing. The demon even joined in on the fun by continually tossing their spear before turning it into a beam of light and recalling it to their hand so they could do it again. Their target was the woman on the scooter that used to be dodging potshots from the vehicle that was destroyed. “Well Panya most of what I did before I became bound to my newest summoner was travel. I searched the realms for the most remote locations hiding great treasures. Some may say I was a rumormonger. In truth, I merely kept an ear out for clues that may help those who call upon me. My time in Hell is what one may expect. There is less fire than most people seem to believe, however. It is contained on the seventh and eighth levels.”Seere stopped throwing their spear and became quiet for a moment. For a brief second their eyebrows furled for just a moment. A wave of displeasure washed over Kurai, but he wasn't sure why. All he knew was that he was pissed for some reason and had a good target in front of him. The pegasus was largely leading themselves at this point so he took one hand off the reigns to aim a finger gun at the scooter. “Bang!” Kurai pulled the trigger with his thumb and a red barb of energy shot from his fingertip at the wheel of the scooter. An attack from the pair finally hit it's mark causing the tire to pop. The rider drifted off to the side and the number of competitors lowered once again to three. After another woohoo of celebration from the man Seere began to speak again. “You may ask another question if you wish, but I cannot guarantee answers Panya.” The once-open demon suddenly changed his tune. “It seems there are things we cannot discuss quite yet.”De/buffs: N/A Used: Basic Attack x2 (F-Rank PWR damage) panya

Kurai laughed at the idea of encountering something they couldn't handle. He couldn't help but be excited at the idea of seeing what The Devil's Triangle had in store for them. It was like he was a kid with a new videogame rushing to see all the digital monsters.“With all of our summons they'd need a damn army to take us down! We'll be done with this in no time!” How bad could a C-Rank mission really be? It didn't sound like there was any combat involved so as long as they were careful they'd likely be fine.
As Lowell confirmed the wolves would be fine the pegasus darted after Seere in an attempt to catch up to him. Thankfully they were able to keep him in their sights as the pair made their way deeper into the island. “Keep an eye out for your beasties, Lowell! Who knows what kind of things we'll see out here? What kind of info are we supposed to give for these surveys anyway?” Depending on their answer he may regret choosing demonic beings. At least with beasts like the other man chose they could just find a bunny or a squirrel or something.
Which was likely considering that they were galloping down a forest trail at the moment. Surely they'd come across some creature or spirit soon. Maybe Seere would find something of interest as they were bolting ahead. Just as Kurai had that thought the demon ducked out of sight behind a corner. He cursed under his breath as he turned the corner, but couldn't see his summon anywhere. “Shit. I didn't think he'd just disappear. Whatever he can handle himself. He'll make his way back soon.” At least he hoped so.
Kurai stopped the pegasus when he heard rustling coming from the bushes beside him. “You wanna check it out or keep going? Could be one of those animals you're looking for. Or maybe a spirit? Would spirits be able to move bushes?” Hopefully the creature would be able to help them fulfill some of the goals they set out to accomplish.

After being informed of the Guild by Lowell it didn't take long for Kurai to reach out to the heads of the enterprise. He wasn't normally one for organized groups and when he saw the invitation he nearly trashed it. Despite the fact they didn't think it would work Seere had managed to convince him to try it out. It could prove useful to him. He was still a newbie after all. The Guild sounded interesting at least since it was filled with summoners. Maybe someone else could give him some advice on how things worked. If it was worth doing it was worth doing well. Kurai hated it when his father used to say that, but that was due to it coming from them. He agreed with the sentiment and put it into practice quite often. Mostly when he was doing something to piss off his old man. The point still stands. The base was somewhat impressive based on first appearances. Whoever built this place and took care of it clearly knew what they were doing. There were all sorts of creatures running around the place. Kurai hadn't summoned Seere yet and was somewhat hesitant to until he got a feel for the people who ran the Guild. Who knows what sort of weirdos you may run into out here? No need to freak out the bible bangers. Until he wanted to that is. Upon arriving at the location given to him in the invitation Kurai noticed someone he recognized. “Yo Lowell! Long time no see eh?” He waved and shouted at the man as he approached the base. There were a few strange-looking people beside him too. Were they going to be his new guildmates? Some of them were dressed as maids and the other was some kid. Geez they looked weird together. This was like the beginning of some strange manga... When he reached the group he offered his hand to the others nearby. “The name's Kurai Uesugi. Nice to meet you all.” A voice echoed in the back of his mind. 'Liar.' Sometimes it seemed like Seere enjoyed calling him out on his bullshit. He used to think that the demon's only hobby was looking for things but looks like they found something else to do in their spare time. deedee sylvia Lowell

Oh great. If he knew his partner would be a crotchety old man Kurai would have passed on the quest. He got enough of that crap from his father to last him a lifetime. They even used fancy words that they didn't think other people would know in an attempt to make them seem stupid. Too bad for that bastard he was a well-educated man despite his appearance maybe suggesting otherwise. Kurai scoffed at Rojin's attempt at insulting him. He'd heard much worse before. “Nice try you old coot. I'm rather happy with how I look. You look like you're about to keel over any second though. You sure you're gonna make it through this if something attacks?” Seere simply shook his head at the pair exchanging words. He could tell that this was likely going to get worse before it got better. If it did at all. “There is no need for hostilities now. We are all here for the same purpose. If we work together then the night shall be quick.” The demon nodded his head at his wise words. The two humans would do well to just follow his advice and stop arguing. Not that they expected Kurai to do so. In fact, he responded much like the demon expected. “Yeah sure whatever. Let's just get this over with so I can go to sleep.” He leaned back against the wall of the settlement before sliding down it so he was sitting on the ground. This would be much more comfortable than standing the whole shift. Seere remained on his feet however and diligently kept watch over the area in case anything appeared. Rojin

Seere simply nodded in return to Lowell's greeting. The demon was as stoic as ever. As Kurai rubbed his chin and thought about what he would want to be surveying here when the popup appeared. “Spirits could be interesting. I'd be more interested in trying to find something demonic or devilish though. Fit in with the whole aesthetic and everything ya know?” He used a hand to gesture at himself from head to toe and then to the demon.
Kurai was about to answer Lowell, but Seere never missed the chance to boast about himself. He didn't even know what the mission was yet before he began to speak. “But of course. I have traveled to many places and found countless objects. There is no better seeker than I.” It didn't matter what it was he was supposed to find. Given the chance he'd happily retrieve whatever it was his summoner needed.
While Lowell was pondering if his wolves could smell spirits the demon began charging forward into the depths of the island. If Kurai didn't know any better he would start running after them, but that wouldn't do him any good. Unfortunately, they were much faster than he was and he couldn't keep up. “Shit. There he goes. The only thing that seems to get him going is finding hidden things. I don't even think he knows what he's looking for.”
He sighed deeply before reaching his hands out in front of him and grabbing a red rope that appeared in the air. It reached down into the ground where the same red light that emanated from the pentacle on his hand had spread to cover the area around his feet. From it, a pegasus that looked like the evil twin of Seere's mount crawled straight from Hell. It spawned with Kurai on its back and snorted once it was fully free from the ground. “Get on. I doubt we're going to catch him otherwise. We can search for something to survey on the way. Think the wolves can keep up?”
Whether or not Lowell took him up on his offer or not he would activate the ability he copied from Seere. The pegasus reared back on its hind legs before dashing forward at a speed Kurai wouldn't be able to accomplish on his own. A red trail was left in its wake as they began to catch up to the demon while they searched for... whatever they thought they were looking for.

“Killer mannequins? That sounds like a dope band name!” While he was somewhat disappointed Panya hadn't found any cool relics in her travels he couldn't expect much from a stranger. Even if she had found something she had no obligation to tell him about it. It's better to keep powerful things to yourself lest someone try to take it from you. Maybe Kurai shouldn't be so open with the fact he summons literal demons from the actual Hell. Not that one could tell, but Seere was delighted to hear that the woman recognized his name. Maybe this day would turn out to be pleasant after all. He had someone to have a conversation with. Well, one he would enjoy anyway. Let's just say Kurai wasn't the type of company the demon typically chose to keep “Correct again Panya. This one read the books and it seems that was enough of a connection for me to become bound to him through unknown means.”The fact Panya wasn't a ranged combatant could prove somewhat detrimental if they couldn't get close to whatever was on the track. Whether it be other people or whatever is making that loud thumping in the distance. Hopefully, they wouldn't have to find out what it was during the race. Kurai's train of thought was interrupted by the entire carriage dropping a few inches from the weight of the newly summoned object. “Jesus fuck what did you just do?!” He shouted as he turned to see what happened in the back seat. Of all things he thought he would see he didn't expect an ancient sarcophagus being thrown around like it was made of paper. Despite the extra weight the pegasus carrying the vehicle to their starting point didn't seem to have any trouble. “Whatever it doesn't seem to be slowing us down so I guess it's fine...” Kurai grumbled. Seere on the other hand was intrigued by the relic's sudden appearance. “Where did you obtain such a magnificent treasure Panya?”Since they arrived later than most other competitors they were closer to the back end of the starting line. Broken architecture could be seen on each side of the track as Kurai eyed up the other 5 competitors. Most of them were in the normal sports cars you'd expect for this sort of thing. However, one of them was on a scooter, and another was on a motorcycle. Though the carriage he was in was by far the strangest. Especially with it riding as low as it did. The comments of the other racers were enough to set off the cantankerous young man. “What the hell are you all looking at?! Mind your own damn business before you regret it!” He stood up and slammed his fist into his open palm. This caused a couple of them to laugh at the boisterous man and for him to try to get out of the passenger's seat up front to fight them. Luckily Seere was able to catch him and sit him down before he could do so. An announcer spoke through a speaker installed at the starting line to let the racers and spectators know the race was starting. “Alright you ready for this?” Not too long after the countdown came and went. Seere expertly took control of the reigns signaling the pegasus to start rushing forward, but the cart didn't move no matter how hard it pulled. Kurai pounded on the front of the carriage as he yelled out in frustration. “What the fuck?! Why isn't this damn thing moving?!” The announcer piped up after a few seconds of the two in the driver's seat trying to figure out what was going on. “Oh ho ho. Looks like somebody was trying to have a summon drive for them! That's a no-no out here folks! Better take the wheel yourself, buddy boy!”Kurai yelled out in frustration again before letting out a long string of expletives and taking the reigns away from Seere. Finally, the carriage began moving down the track. “Yes! Let's gooooooo!” They were lagging behind the rest of the competitors due to the rules he wasn't aware of. “Damn this sucks. Seere just focus on taking out the others and I'll handle driving I guess.” As much as he complained about wanting to drive before he couldn't deny that the demon was much better at this sort of thing. He was kinda looking forward to blasting some people too.. "I'll be sure to defeat our enemies summoner."panya

Kurai stood awfully still and kept a close eye on the wolf as it inspected him. He knew it was a natural thing for a canine to do, but that didn't make him any less uncomfortable. Who wouldn't be when faced with a large predator like that? Was that Seere chuckling in the back of his mind or just his imagination? Hmm...
“A Mission would be nice. I could use a bit more cash.” Not to mention the Favor he'd receive. “I wonder what kind of Mission we'd trigger out here? I don't know much about the island. I just thought the name sounded cool and thematic.” On that note when Lowell's Howling Shade sniffed around the red pentacle on the back of his right hand it caught the faint scent of sulfur.
Kurai reached his hand out to the man as he introduced himself. “Kurai Uesugi. What a coincidence I'm a summoner as well.” The pentacle on his hand glowed as the same pattern appeared on the ground surrounding them. The faint smell of sulfur the wolf picked up earlier permeated the area as the summoning began.
A pillar of red light appeared from the ground behind Kurai to bring the demon into this world. In it's wake was a blonde man stern-looking man garbed in the same gray armor as their mount. Purple gems and gold trim adorned their armor as well as the spear they held in their hand. The pegasus reared up on its hind legs and let out a neigh in response to the wolf's howl.
After the markings on the ground disappeared and their mount had all its legs back on the ground the demon began to speak. “Greetings Lowell. Shadow.” He nodded at them both individually. “I am Seere. I can assure you that with my assistance this venture will be fruitful.”
Once Seere was done introducing himself Kurai spoke up again. “So what kinds of things are we supposed to be surveying here? Any idea where we're supposed to be going or should we just start exploring?”

Kurai grumbled to himself as he stood just outside the settlement where he was supposed to meet his partner in crime. Well, not crime... Crime prevention. It was odd being on this side of things for him. Usually, he was the one wreaking havoc and having security called on him. Being the one people came to for assistance was an entirely new experience for him. And not one that was very welcome at this hour. He only stopped by the place to find an inn to stay the night and the local security approached him with an offer he couldn't refuse: money. When the guards offered Kurai some points in return for a shift watching over things he figured it would be some quick cash. Riding around on Seere's pegasus between settlements and taking odd jobs where he could reminded him of happy days. So he agreed despite his need for rest. He was fairly proud to admit it he had become accustomed to a certain lifestyle. Maybe not accustomed, but grown partial to at least. Not one of the spoiled heir like many would assume, but that of the vagabond. Kurai had run away multiple times and before he inevitably got caught he had to eat somehow. Temp jobs and under-the-table gigs allowed him to get by. Seere hated using the teleportation portals set up to connect the world. Something about it cheapening his legacy. He stopped listening at some point during the monotone rant. In any case, Kurai preferred to move around the old-fashioned way too so it worked out for both of them. For the most part, the pair only used them when they had to cross continents. “I hope this goes quick. Standing around waiting for something to happen isn't exactly my idea of a good time.” He began to chew at the skin on the side of his fingers as he waited for the other temporary hire. “You humans are always so impatient. You act like you wish for an attack.” The voice of Seere echoed through his head. Kurai mumbled something under his breath and the red pentacle on his hand glowed in the dusk. “At least the sunset is nice.” The sky was getting quite dark at this point, but shades of red, pink, and purple could be seen around the bright orange sliver of the sun poking over the horizon. Kurai grabbed her hand and gave her a handshake that was perhaps a tad too firm to be completely comfortable. An archaeologist huh? That could prove useful during the race. It was all about old things after all. It wouldn't be a bad idea to befriend her regardless. With all sorts of strange things popping up in the new world it would be nice to have someone besides his sister he could turn to for help. “Hey that's pretty sweet. Have you managed to find anything cool yet? I've been looking for some more old books to read. That's how I got this dork after all.” He pointed a thumb over his shoulder at the demon behind him. The edges of Seere's lips twitched slightly as he heard his name come from Panya's mouth. “How right you are, Panya.” A beam of light appeared in his grasp before quickly fading to reveal a long gray spear with purple gems between the shaft and tip. He banged the butt of the spear on the ground before continuing. “I go by many names. Glint In The Dark. Graceful Traveler. Relic Seeker. I am Seere, the Seventh Prince of Hell.” With a neigh the pegasus reared back on its hind legs and spread its wings wide. “Now, let us ride.”The demon took the reigns and by following Panya's directions the group was able to make it to the signup just in time. The woman's flailing caused a scene, but at least she accomplished her goal. Her enthusiasm for the whole ordeal was kinda cute despite the headache she caused some people. Kurai chuckled when Panya came back with the news of what the staff said. The red pentacle engraved into the back of his hand began to glow as he spoke. “No worries. All we need to do is break the tires of anyone faster than us, right?” The confident smirk returned to his face as he talked about causing carnage on the track. He raised an arm in the air back at her and Seere began the drive to the starting line of the track. As the group got closer to the race track the area started to change from the city they were in before. The space between buildings grew much wider until there weren't any visible anymore. The road turned into an old cobblestone path that caused the carriage to rock back and forth constantly along the way. Kurai had to grab hold of the seat to keep himself steady, but the demon seemed unbothered by the bouncing. It didn't take long for them to see the toppled columns and dilapidated buildings of the ruins that would be the setting for their race. The sign that stretched above the entrance to the track read 'Golem Gauntlet'. A loud distant thumping could be heard every once in a while as they took their place at the starting line. It wouldn't be long before the race started. If they were going to be together it would be best if they knew what they were getting into. “So Panya what can you do anyways? Me and Seere can shoot stuff and go hella fast when we're on the horse. I don't think us riding the horse is going to come into play here though.” At least he hoped not. panya

Kurai hadn't noticed the gathering crowd while he argued back and forth with his demonic acquaintance. It wasn't unusual for him to draw a crowd with his antics. In fact most times it was his intention. While that wasn't the plan in this case he still managed to cause a scene with his shouting. Not that Seere seemed to mind. If anything he appeared to expect this as he calmly prepared the carriage for the race. A woman gasping in awe at his demon's mount caught Kurai's attention. As she approached he put on a smug smirk and placed his fists on his hips. Whoever she was she obviously liked the pegasus that he summoned. Of course, she did. Who wouldn't adore a beautiful white horse with wings? Oh, the woman was Egyptian. How fun. He hadn't been to Egypt in quite some time and suddenly felt a wave of nostalgia for the place. “Yeah I'm going to the Rally once we get everything set up.” The woman was looking for someone to help her in the race. How convenient. Kurai was still pretty weak with him being just level one so another hand to protect him could be useful. From what he'd heard the races could get pretty intense. “Sure I could use some extra help. The name's Kurai and that's Seere over there. He's a great driver so we can trust him to get us where we need to go.” Despite Kurai trying to convince the demon to allow him to drive he trusted the man to fulfill his duties. Well as much as one could trust an actual demon anyway. Without much fanfare, Seere popped up behind the man when they were done hooking the pegasus up to the carriage. “I am finished, Summoner. We may leave for the race whenever you are ready.” Kurai jumped from the abrupt voice behind him. “Great. Good job Seere. Let's get going then before we're late.” He then made his way over to the carriage and sat on one of the seats behind the horse. Meanwhile, the demon sat in the center to take hold of the reigns. panya

How could Kurai not be interested in a place called The Devil's Triangle? It seemed to share a lot in common with The Bermuda Triangle in the old world. A place he'd always wanted to explore after all. They even had a similar name! Traveling to see the island was an easy choice. However, he wasn't sure what to expect upon arriving. A lot of what happened seemed to remain a mystery.
It was in cases like this that Seere came in handy. Or they would have if this place was a part of the old world that was transported to the new. Maybe this wasn't The Bermuda Triangle after all if the demon didn't recognize it. Kurai was intrigued that this island seemed to be completely new like the Motor City the pair visited earlier. Although it wasn't completely new to them that didn't stop him from teasing the demon. “Well well well. Another new place huh? What would you do without me to show you everything new huh?” Much to his annoyance no response came.
With Kurai being as boisterous as ever it was no surprise that someone nearby noticed him as he arrived. He was pretty pissed that he didn't get to drive during the race so Seere backed down this time. At least he was able to take the wheel of the boat he used to get to the island! It wasn't a great substitute, but there was always another race they could do in the future.
“Survey? No, I don't know anything about that. I just came here to check out the island. I suppose I could do something while I'm here. Surveys usually pay right?”
