Kuro grumbled sometimes, and communicated with her and her alone. Kairi had always made her wants and needs known by her pointed gaze. But this creature was one that spoke out loud, and can be understood by everyone. It was a magnificent find. [break][break] She watched as it spoke. The scales on it had intrigued her. How would it feel under her touch, to be petted, to be coveted. She had Kairi and Kuro, but this dragon was something else. But then again, it had no use to her if it cannot fight. After all, that was all she did in this world. Fight, fight, and fight. [break][break] Hikari smiled as she was addressed, eyes burning with desire to keep the dragon for herself. "Do battle with me Solstice of the Frozen Flame, and if I win this round, come and join me in my travels." She smiled brightly, enticingly. "I promise it will be filled with adventure." Ever since becoming part of ANTHEM, and now heading the guild, she had little time to sit down. There was always some place to discover, a new monster to vanquish. [break][break] The aura that washed over her was ignored, and instead her own aura started to churn out. Her [Terror Field] started to grow with each step she took. Her swords all floating beside her, the woman looked her part. She was a [Princess] to all NPCs, and a killer to everything she sees. Hikari waited for the dragon to respond, while holding her hand up to hopefully keep Cordelia back. This was not the woman's fight. [break][break] "I apologize, miss. One moment the System was telling her that this person was an enemy, someone she should attack. The next, it was gone. Was it all a glitch? Something that the System had made a mistake on? That wasn't usual. No, the System was never wrong. So it must be something with this person. Their class, perhaps.

A sound caught her by surprise, and within moments, her swords her pointed toward what looked to be a volcano on the horizon. And something had emerged. Something huge.

"It's a mission." She whispered, lightly as though the large figure on the horizon could hear them. From the shape and form, she could make out the monster she had been brought here to slay. "And that is a dragon." Hikari pointed forward, eyes shining with excitement.

Turning back to her companion, she nodded lightly, "I hope you're prepared for this?" Beside her, Kairi and Kuro emerged. Her two dragons were not of the same size, but certainly of the same mettle. Hikari stretched her hands to each side, and both of her dragons brushed their heads on her palms. An endearing gesture.

"Shall we?" Hikari started to walk towards the volcano, eyes bright and swords ready. Perhaps this was a dragon she could find a way to tame? One more for her growing weyr of dragons. The cold winds didn't bother her as she took one step at a time toward their destination. The volcano's ashes filled the sky, and yet it barely dropped the temperature. This was how Hikari knew that this was a mission. A temporary existence. A perversion of truth, of the world.

She knew that this fight was not going to be easy. Hikari had had her fair share of tough opponents. The last of which had been the final boss of that dungeon. But this one was different. Was this a person like them? [break][break] She felt the attack more than she saw it. Hikari was fast, one of the fastest she would wager. Her swords, however, were even faster. With a thought, both Murakumo and Habakiri had sprung forward, attempting to parry the attack that was targeting her two summons. [break][break] "Hm, how neat. They're swords too." She smiled as she admired the attack sent towards her summons. Hikari also snapped her fingers, unsummoning both Kairi and Kuro if she was able to. They wouldn't be needed for this fight. No, this was on another level. [break][break] While Murakumo and Habakiri were attempting to parry the ethereal swords, Shotsuren shot forward at her speed, attempting to impale the enemy. Perhaps she can garner some information from this...enemy. Especially about those swords of hers! [break][break] Combat Summary:[break] - Hikari is attempting to respond to the attack by having both of her swords, Murakumo and Habakiri, parry the ethereal swords. She would have to see what her summon can do now that it was at its peak when it comes to power. Kairi appeared then, coiling herself around Hikari's body as it took a sniff of Kuro. [break][break] "Now, now, Kairi, be nice." Hikari chided as Kairi recoiled from the malevolent stench of Kuro. They were opposites, night and day. Hikari tapped her new fan onto her swords. As she did, they started levitating, floating around her as though they were alive. This would be the second time she used this new item of hers. Once, it had been a simple charm of sorts. Now it was more of a hassle to keep it held in her hand. But then again, they were stylish. Ones that she would normally pair with her Christmas outfit, though perhaps not when her father had been alive. That man was a prude, after all.

Speaking of prudes, she looked up and smiled at the beach in front of her. There were few reasons to slack off these days, but a chance to go to the beach was always welcome. Despite the fact that she was here for a mission. One that she would much rather not be doing.

"The sun is immaculate, the waves are tantalizing, and yet there are thrash littering this beautiful scenery." Hikari huffed, smoothing her dress as she crossed her arms. Her swords floated around her, silent in their guard, but were fidgeting as they reacted to her emotions. Murakumo and Habakiri, especially, were humming with anticipation. It seems that they wanted blood. Craved it.

She glanced at her swords and smiled, "It seems our break really got to you both." Holding out her hand, Hikari poked the hilt of both of her swords, before facing the enemies in front of her once more. Fortunately, or unfortunately, she was to do this mission with a few others.

In fact, two of them were already here, and the rest were on their way. Or so the System told her. Gone were the days when she could count on Dee Dee to be her back-up. It was a loss, to be sure, and a big one at that. But she would manage. Hikari always manages. With a nod to the man, and a small smile towards the smaller woman who seemed to be a gardener of some sort, she folded her arms to wait.

Life never led a straight path. No, it had a way with twists and turns that eventually punctured through what little peace one had. It was the great betrayer, the evil which counteracts the good in this world. Life was not Hikari's friend, but she had little choice in the matter. And so she marches on, with one friend dead and the other missing in action.

"The world is bleak, and I remain." She whispered to herself, standing in a snowy landscape that should have been a death sentence for a normal human being. They were no normal human beings anymore, however. The snowfall only made the place feel much more magical, more unreal.

She held her hand out, letting the snow pool and melt on her palm. While her swords floated around her menacingly, Hikari's visage looked too innocent for the violence she had perpetrated throughout the past year. The death and carnage she had left in her wake, even against other people, was nothing to scoff about. It was only Dee Dee who had stopped her from massacring more people during the mission that the System gave them. It was Dee Dee who staved off her bloodlust, her anger. But now there was no Dee Dee. The woman's contact information turned grey on her screen. Uncontactable. Still alive, but was nowhere to be seen.

A sound caught her by surprise, and her swords were immediately at the ready. It seems the person who the System told her to wait for had arrived. Another one who had accepted the mission just like she did. But...

Hikari was enjoying the soft melodious music within her familial home when something popped up in front of her. She opened her eyes slowly, irritated by the distraction, only to frown. What was this? A new item limit within one's inventory? How...unimpressive. She swiped the screen up to read the message further, before sighing in defeat.

"It seems I must visit an old...acquaintance once again." She could sell items, that was true. But she could also forge them, turn them into something better, and then perhaps sell them if she finds them useless. But then again, she got her most trusted swords from the Forge. There was always a chance she could get something very useful.

She held her hand out towards the door to the smith's forge, and opened it. The key in her hand unlocked the door as she pushed past the heavy barrier, and into the steaming room. At the centre was the master, and in front of him was the legendary Forge. Many have sought this place out, and many have failed.

"Would you mind looking at these items for me. Perhaps you can tell me which is best to forge with this particular one? I'd love for it to be more useful..." She took out the item named: Tinseldancer's Mistlefan. It glinted in the fiery reflections of the flames around them, glistening slightly in the heat.

Surprise is one of them. But for a mission with a rank as high as this, there was no room for mistakes. [break][break] She looked towards the pathway leading around the house. It was worn, overgrown, but treaded. There was evidence of use, which made it a good start for them. It must lead somewhere if it was used by these bandits. Perhaps a back entrance? Or perhaps towards whatever stash these people have stolen. [break][break] That way, I think. Hikari messaged the woman instead of talking. It would be easier to sneak that way, after all. Plus, her item Visage of the Horned God made her movements nigh impossible to track by anyone, making her unnoticeable. She would sheathe Habakiri as well, immediately obscuring herself with a cloud that hid her from sight. This was her specialty. Making sure not to touch the vegetation, she stalked towards the building, and then followed the path which ran parallel to it. The laughter was louder now, and up close, she could see that the men and women inside numbered around seven. At least, that was the amount of shadows she could see. It was good to know, however. After all, her plan was to take them all out simultaneously if she could. Seven people, it looks like. Unsure if the boss is here. Hikari watched as the barrier was withdrawn, and felt something akin to water passing over her. She didn't respond to it, accepting that it must be Jonas' own abilities that was the source of it. Instead, she held her swords aloft, pointing it towards the spider that was now injured by Jonas' own ability. How would she take it down...

Resolving on her decision, she lifted herself up into the air, before splaying out her swords. She created a circle of swords around her, each one pointing in a direction, evenly laid out around her body that it created a perimeter of sorts. Hikari smirked, before flying forward.

The first strike would have been beautiful, but Hikari did not have time to admire her sword. The swords spun around her, and she she got close to the giant spider, her first sword slashed through one of its legs, severing it cleanly. The rest of its legs followed, her swords following a wide arc and effectively dismantling the spider.

"It's a shame, truly." Hikari spoke up as she neared the downed giant spider. "Kairi, please deal with this for me, darling." Kairi manifested around her, eyes gleaming as she poised to end the spider. With a breath attack, the spider collapsed fully, taking its weight with it.

She turned to Jonas and Sylvia, "Are we expecting more, or..." She paused, nodding in satisfaction at Sylvia's work. "Good job Miss Sylvia, and of course, Sakura, Himari, and Daphne, as well. Hikari acknowledged the maids, before turning to Jonas. Were there more spiders incoming? Perhaps her guild mate would know.
