To her surprise, Panya's answer had indeed been flagged as the correct one. The stone golem that had previously smashed the other competitor with a boulder had now stopped as something in front of them rose from the ground. It was the finish line, just in stone form. They crossed it without much other issue as She pumped her fist, hugging Kurai again while celebrating a race well won. "We did it! I couldn't have done it if it wasn't for you and Seere to help me!" During their little team huddle, a smaller golem would hand over their prize: two stone trophies that looked as intriguing as they were boulder shaped. Panya would treasure it though, another discovery thanks to the adventurous spirit residing inside of her. "Oh? You would want to let me join you again for another outing?" That feeling that had come over her when Idir and her had gone out spelunking washed over her again. Maybe it was just because of the fact her friend circle had always been small since primary school, or that she really didn't think people enjoyed a worrywort with a huge weapon, but it was a good feeling. Panya nodded her head slowly, looking back to Seere as well before smiling at the summoner and summoned. "I'd...er, love to! We can do something less stressful. Maybe go explore some old ruins or something!"Her spirits were lifted, the archeologist woman as cheery as could be. kurai

Their victory wasn't assured just yet. Panya looked up just in time to hear the booming voice they had heard before ask them another series of questions, though this time, it was far more disjointed. It confused the archeologist for a hot minute. Was this supposed to be one riddle or taping together multiple in some long form response? She leaned forward while still attached to Kurai as the group were left to really think to themselves about an answer. "Leave it to a mysterious voice to think up such an elaborate riddle..." she murmured to herself as she released her grip on Kurai to think of a proper response. Another person still in the race would offer up their answer. The golem from before let them know their guess was incorrect by throwing a boulder at their vehicle, flinging it off track. Well that was a proper incentive to not make a mistake. The tanned woman leaned back in her seat and began to mentally talk aloud and try and draw a diagram of the problem. "So the first part is...a person that works with secrets and lies. That could be anybody. But the second part could be easier. The last to mend, the middle of middle and at the end of the end..." Panya wrecked her head around trying to come up with an answer. She remained quiet for a moment while closing her eyes and trying to envision the problems out in front of her. Sure, she looked crazy and leaned a little on Kurai for support, but whatever could help them out! "Crap, this is hard...What the hell is it asking us?" She rubbed her temples and huffed to herself for a moment. Panya took a moment before an idea popped into her head. "Wait a minute! What if it's just the letter D? It's the letter at the end of "end" and in the middle of the word "middle". Which leaves the final riddle being a sound when you can't find a word, er. Which leaves us with "duh-er". But what's that first answer then?" The woman was trying ever so hard to try and find the answer. Whether it was helped or she came to it herself, Panya would shout up their answer. "SPIDER!"kurai

Panya did grip hold of the carriage's top front harder while the roof were slowly coming undone. The rocks and boulders were crashing on the ground, shattered crystal dust kicked up into the air. By some measure of luck, they had cleaned up most of the racers present in the race, although Panya let out a gasp at her actions as one stalactite crashed onto a sports car as put them out of the race. The woman was about to cheered but saw a huge stalactite on its way to careening with the cart. "Kurai! Seere!" she shouted to get their attention. She couldn't exactly call up her sarcophagus in time to defend from it being so close as only half of it had reformed, but thankfully, the demon prince came in clutch with a last minute save. His spear's magic alongside Kurai's attacks would be enough to shatter the piece of earth into pieces as they ducked their head. Panya, however, wasn't too lucky.
The stones had pushed her off the carriage as her open sarcophagus would reform. She willed the bandages underneath her clothing, alongside the carriage, to latch onto the back and then slam into the ground. She lande don top of her weapon, clutching it for dear life as Panya slowly gathered her balance and hopped back into the cart. Once safe, she'd celebrate alongside Kurai and Seere. "We did it!" She hugged Kurai, squeezing him as he could smell her lilac scented perfume lingering around her and then smiled at Seere. "Thank you for saving us, you two. I couldn't have done it without you both!"

"Well, spite is always present in most of mythology, thankfully. It's known for being one of the most dangerous states of being in man for very good reason." Panya laughed softly at Kurai's statement, flashing a playful smile at him while they focused back on the race. Granted, it was rather hard to focus on anything else considering that she had been told that multiple afterlife and hells do exist. Anything that serious would shake even the sturdiness man down to the core. So many questions to ask this demon prince later! She was hardly managing to contain herself as the archeologist held onto her seat in the cart and looked out at the straightaway in front of them.
"There's nothing we can do to maybe stop them?" Panya asked the blue haired boy with astonishment. He really didn't have any magic tool that could get them ahead of the pack and on track to take home the gold prize? The archeologist began to think to herself about what could possible be done to regain some ground. As they began to stumble upon the next area of the caverns, several crystal formations would pass by overhead and against the walls. She looked at them present and then back to the other two present before the beginnings of an idea got to her head. "I think I have an idea. But I would advise you get ready to perform evasive maneuvers." Panya slowly stepped over Kurai and then slowly began to crawl on top of the carriage. It was an unsteady place to be, as the speed was slowly pushing her away. But she'd summon the sarcophagus with the lid open and bandage present as she held on and let it fly behind them, almost like a kite.
After a bit, Panya would smash it into the crystals beside them, showering the immediate area with shards while producing a low hum. She wobbled and almost lost her balance, but clutched the top for dear life and began to launch her weapon at more crystals around them. The humming continued, growing louder with every crystal Panya smashed. It became loud, as the ceiling began to quake and the larger formations around them beginning to crash down. The racers ahead would be forced to dodge and weave around to avoid a direct collision or having crystals smash into their vehicles, including the carriage Panya was clutched to.

Multiple hells? That was certainly something of a small detail to just throw out to a mortal like her. Panya's expression widened as the woman little out a sudden gasp. "You mean that there's not one big hell but multiple? Fascinating...I suppose whichever one a soul ends up in would depend on their ideology then? Or is there some other measurement of how we're judged after death?" This was such a concept. It would raise more questions, such as what limitations each hell had, and who would a rightful ruler of hell be if many of them had one standard overlord. It was a shame their current happenstance had taken priority over it. Panya was surprised when Kurai did show interest in her explaining the riddle to him. So much so the tanned woman really didn't know what to say. Most people usually didn't listen to told her to stop, so when the rare case where somebody did want her to go on, she froze up. "I, ah, didn't know. When you study pharaohs and tombs for half of your life, you learn to become well equipped with riddles. Just part of being an archeologist is all." She did wonder how many more people like her were out and about. If any mnore scholars or seekers of the undead were trying to locate the secrets of this world, or if it was just her. It did get rather lonely keeping her nerd brain happy to talk about such concepts with people. They continued to ride along before stopping and sapping some of Kurai's magic to go and refuel, a process that Panya did feel a little bad to not help at all with. Although her own skills in magic were rather subpar. Their opponents were sadly still up ahead, and with this portion being a straightaway, it didn't lead a lot of opportunity for something to happen. "We may need a way to gain some ground if we're going to win this race. Would either of you have a plan?"kurai

That was a good point. Panya really hadn't thought of being cursed by walking around with the King Tut's sarcophagus. She frowned, taking a moment to consider why not before offering her best explanation. "I guess maybe Earth-chan is making the curse subside? It wouldn't really be fair if I had a curse slowly killing me while wielding this, would it?" She hoped not, unless their suitor for this game was really hiding that fact from her. Panya could only really guess as to why she could handle this huge weapon so freely anyway. Seere, meanwhile, would at least offer some sort of answer for her questions. She was a little confused by how much he was holding back from her, but considering he was a summon and Kurai could just attack her freely in the future, she decided to hold off for now. Their relationship was pretty ironic. Kurai seemed to be fiery and constantly moving while Seere was the calm one and thought things through. Two sides of the same coin, no doubt. It was only by Seere's green light to ask away that Panya relented. "So if you're a demon prince of one religion or belief system, does that mean there's only one true Hell? Or are there several hells that exist depending on the demon?" That would be the first of her questions before the booming voice caught her attention. Three panels would show themselves alongside a riddle. Panya perked up at hearing it and then beam at the chance to ponder. "Oh, this one's not so tricky, Kurai!" she said while turning to the blue haired boy. "It's pretty simple when you look at it. If two sisters give birth to one another, you can look at it from different angles of thought. So the cloud and boulder option could represent the earth and sky themselves, but aren't ultimately related given that most mythology has water as the life giving element that is a part of earth's byproduct. So that's out. The other two are more closely related given their opposite reactions. Flame will always bow to water, but if they represent forces than than the direct symbol they are, more things and concepts can be attributed to them, and if-"She paused, noticing the look on Kurai's face as she frowned. "O-Oh, sorry. I thought you'd be interested. The answer is the left option. The moon and sun, night and day. One births the other. It's somewhat basic." She said, pressing the button as the walls rumbled at the answer given. An opening below the statue would burst open, leading the trio towards the next entrance. kurai

With her speech having gone down as a rousing success, her spirit would disconnect itself from having direct control over the archeologist. She let out a sigh of relief, a hand to her head as the rest of Nefurika's people had all murmured to themselves about her words. Out of the crowd, a lone soul would come forward in front of them as Panya stood with baited breath. The spirit beside her likely was under a greater deal of anxiety at what they would say, which thankfully was more supportive than they had been initially. She smiled at Idir, nodding her head towards the man in approval. "Thank you! But we're almost done here. Whatever's in that room is likely what's going to set these souls free." They continued to traverse the pyramid before ending up in a wide room with several mechanisms. "How strange." Panya said as she looked over the room at whatever this contraption could be. Numerous gears and parts were still but clearly were supposed to move somehow. Neither of them knew any better, which meant that it was once again time for their friendly spirit to help out. Idir volunteered to move the gears while Panya would watch from afar and guide him. "Alright, Nefurika. Tell us how to get things spinning again." The spirit would hover over towards the gear farthest right and warp itself in the direction that it was supposed to go. Panya relayed this down to Idir. "Turn the lowest one of the right clockwise..." she said then looked up to see the next part where the spirit had moved to. "Then the middle one should be going counterclock wise."It continued for a couple of minutes, but eventually, the gears were back up and spinning again. The floor beneath them began to hum, as the pyramid was beginning to become airborne once more. Panya looked down, beaming widely. "Well done! I think that did it. We should be done after this!"idir

Panya continued to tend to the spirit, coaxing its soul as it traveled alongside her. Their connect, even if brief, was able to have been felt as if it had been much, much longer. Idir did make a good point about what had happened to her. "True. People are often bloodthirsty. More so than we tend to give them credit for." She mused, but followed Idir through the exit of the maze. It was thankfully more brief than they had wanted, meaning that neither of them were ending up stuck in here forever just yet. Though the path both were on would quickly lead towards their next challenge on the way to assist the spirit in finding peace. There were two statues with visions of what had been holding the spirit away from forgiving herself. Panya would take a glance to pair before the ghostly crowd was starting to appear towards her. Her stage freight kicked in while biting her nails in worry, frowning at Idir. "I, ah-I don't know if I'll really be the best for this." she flailed, her connection to the spirit still going strong. "Maybe we can just-urk!"Panya tensed up, her timid posture taking on a more dignified and proper stance as she had slowly began to channel Nefurika's personality through her body. "Sons and daughters of Egypt, lend me your ears!" Her voice was Panya's, but had a reverberation, alongside a slight undertone of a more commanding voice. Even the woman's eyes seemed to glow brighter while she spoke. "I come to you not as the divine seer that I set out to become long ago, but a humbled husk of a woman who once sought to prevent the cataclysm that had left our home bewitched. I lied, disposed of those who I deemed as "unworthy" of saving, and failed in my role as a seer of my people. I was wrong to so blindly trust in tempting, otherwordly powers as a last resort that I tore away the very things I wished to protect."Panya looked around the room at the spirits, bowing her head towards the group with an expression of a pain long overdue. "I ask you not for forgiveness for my sins that I have suffered from, but only to allow us to pass through and seek a possible end to this torture."idir

"Oh, most definitely. " Panya nodded her head in agreement. Touching anything temporal was a good way to ensure that you would be suffering far worse than any one human could manage. "Still, I can't help but wonder if it would be possible to harness this some day. Imagine delaying a life threatening illness until treatment can come. Or even extending human life. Perhaps one day…" She smiled, though followed close behind Idir as the two continued deeper into the pyramid. Their journey brought them to a maze, one that would allow them an eye into the spirit's life. Panya would nod to the course of action. Idir would be the guide and she would be the one to personally console her. Their tour began as the darkened halls echoed their footsteps. Panya continued down the corridor just as they came to a wall detailing the beginning of the woman's tail. Panya stopped to absorb the mural, her eyes trailing over the symbols. "A great prophecy of despair…When she was young, seers spoke of a great calamity that woukd ravage their people. Some fought against them, but destruction was all but assured. She was young, but devoted her life to finding a way to prevent this from happening to her people."idir

Panya looked incredibly embarrassed at the attention her class had given to her by the two but shared their enthusiasm for it, perhaps in a different way. "My home country is just exciting like that. I could go on for hours about the mythos of our gods and legends...I wonder if there's a chance they could be given life because of Earth-chan. If a demon prince has been given a form, there's always a chance, I suppose." she mused about the idea, turning her attention to Seere as the demon would compliment her knowledge and class secrets. Or would have, had Kurai not shown his distaste for it. A shame, but her patience would win out in the end.
Directly after smashing an engine into the ground, the car swerved away and would be left behind in the pack as they'd overtake their position. the woman with the scooter ahead of them would be an expert at dodging and weaving. Seere threw some spears that she only managed to dodge similar to the sudden gun shots from the vehicle Panya had felled, while informing her about what he had done before meeting his summoner. "A traveler as well as a prince? I suppose it's fitting considering your descriptions in our books. Still, it's beyond incredible to meet you in the flesh like this!" Sure he was a demon, but the concept of chatting with something beyond humanity was amazing!
Kurai had spent the time finally hitting that annoying woman on the scooter as Seere and Panya watched, although she had no real way of ranged weaponry. The demon's comment did allow her some moment of intrigue. So he could only answer certain questions? And a limited amount at that?! How unfortunate!
"Hm, I'll try and stave off my curiosity. How are you liking being paired up with Kurai? I imagine you get into a lot of situations like these.

Panya likely would have walked directly in front of the group of zombie cat human hybrids had it not been for Idir to knock the woman out of her high from being back in her homeland. Their appearance was disturbing, but that wasn't what drew her eyes. These creatures were stuck in some sort of time loop. Their actions and words being repeated ad nauseum. For how long they had been stuck like this was unknown, but Panya couldn't imagine this happening recently. "What a cruel fate." she observed. "Perpetually stuck for eternity like this. We should be careful not to end up as they have." she said while his next question had her wondering. Could they step by them? If they were indeed stuck in a time loop, that would mean nothing would really stop them from walking by. Panya said nothing to Idir and slowly began to tiptoe around the small group, doing her best to not make a sound. She'd walk by as the felines continued to be stuck in their microcosm of time flow. She glanced at her step and then to Idir before noticing they weren't even reacting to her. "I think it's safe." she said to him, pointing to the group as they continued speaking in reverse. "They appear to be wholly suspended in time and unable to interact with us. I wonder if this is what happened to our spirit…"idir

Panya looked at her phone to discover an update to the spirit that the two of them were tasked with helping. The name posted in text would catch the woman's eyes. "Interesting, we even have a name now." She smiled in excitement, happily bouncing towards the upside down pyramid. She must have worked with quite the potent magic in order to flip such a large structure on its head. "It could be. But we still have yet to communicate with our spirit. Perhaps we can learn more if we're able to talk with them." The woman stopped, but then giggled to herself, passing a glance towards her partner. "Idir and Panya: Ghost Detectives are on the case~" She chuckled to herself and eventually were able to look up to see the woman known as Nefurika that pointed towards the pyramid. Their goal was clear. The two came up to the tip of the pyramid that gently poked the earth. there was not door but the capstone of the pyramid had a large opening near the side entrance that had been chiseled out to create the entrance into the resting place of a nameless pharaoh. Panya was more excitable than usual because of the subject matter, her usual anxiety driven behavior gone entirely. Instead, she ventured inside and dragged Idir with her until they had come inside of the tunnels. "We should be careful of doing anything. The pyramids were heavily trapped in case looters had come inside to steal the treasures. That would be us, though with the treasure part."Nefurika's spirit appeared as a ghostly image that would only point the two in the right direction. She was certain that there were traps guarding whatever ritual site that they could be on their way towards. Anything could happen, and she was calm and ready. idir

There must have been a lot of things she missed during her study session in the library. Idir introduced her to the astral portal that only made her question what exactly it was and how it worked. Some part of her did worry that they would be stepping into some weird kind of wormhole with no way back, but then again, that's what most of her excursions so far had been. She'd weather whatever awaited them on the other side of this thing and come back good as new. "Anything about it will be fascinating. This is definitely not what I imagined I would be busy with today." she smirked at the man's courage and his infectious confidence. "I'll be right behind you, always, Idir. Shall we begin our delve?" With that, the two were off into the portal. Panya came through as the hot air brushed against her tanned skin. The sky was colored odd, bordering on a majestic sunset or an ethereal morning sunrise. But the scenery was one that Panya was intimately familiar with. Her eyes lit up as she'd grin. "Is this...Egpyt?" she asked, marveling at the pyramids that were upside down. It looked so familiar, but things were wrong, though she couldn't pinpoint what exact it was. The main offender were the pyramids being flipped vertically. But what would the significance of that even be? "At least it feels like it. But why would the pyramids be pointed down? The capstones usually are supposed to direct the pharaohs to heaven, not going into the ground..." Her curiosity was much too great to leave such details go, and awaited Idir to lead the way across the desert. The two of them approached the closest pyramid ad its size became known. Like the real life counterpart that was upright, these two were dwarfed entirely by the magnificent pyramid. While coming close to the base, a soft azure glow made itself known near the base. The shape was hard to make out from so far away, but the archeologist could have made out a humanoid shape, but every moment her eyes lingered on it, they shifted. "Do you see that?" she asked, pointing at the illusive looking phantom. "Is that the aftermentioned "ancient spirit?"idir

Panya remained peppy as Seere appeared quite pleased to be recognized. Kurai did seem like the type to not really care too much into what the demons he could summon were more than what they could do for him, though she wouldn't say that anywhere in front of him. "If I may ask, Seere, what was it like before Kurai summoned you? Can you remember anything before then, or is it only when the game began?" She was curious about whether or not this was actually the demon prince in the flesh before her, or another accurate representation that Earth-chan had supplied his master in his class. Was there an existence of Hell before everything changed? Or was it just a theory or a belief? She had another 15 questions lined up and ready to go, but held back so she wouldn't annoy Seere with any of her questions. During her display of her own class, the cart had let out a soft creak at the sudden added weight of her sarcophagus. She was still getting used to the fact that it weighed as much as a feather did to her, but was hundreds of pounds for any other person. Kurai shouted back to her, causing the archeologist's confidence to plummet all the way to nothing. "Ah-I was, ah, j-just showing off my class was all! I didn't think it would be that heavy!" Flummoxed, Panya flailed to hold the sarcophagus on her lap to try and take off some of the weight of the cart. Seere, however, appeared most interested in it. "I can summon it, since that's my class. I was hoping for something less...violent, but I thought it seemed the most applicable for my situation in my tutorial." Panya spoke, looking at the golden exterior as his fingers gently traced over the front. "My studies since entering Paris and traveling to some of the operational and derelict museums, libraries and such have taken me all around the world that's available so far. I've concluded, after numerous days of thorough research and study that this is indeed King Tutankhamun's sarcophagus. Down to every last precise measurement and detail. And yet...I need to know if it's actually the famed Pharoah resting in here or a representation of him. It's why I asked that question earlier. Have we been living among forces which we couldn't come to understand, or was Earth-chan simply the catalyst."Musing over philosophy aside, Panya sat quietly while Kurai would interact with some of the other competitors. Colorful language was thrown around, alongside a little threat here and there by her companion and his summon. Did they get into this much trouble by themselves? She found is humorous if anything, though wondered about how well Kurai could stay out of trouble. Pretty soon enough, the race would begin in official capacity. The racers were off, but they remained still. "Hm?" Panya asked, looking over at Seere as Kurai shared her more inwards thoughts towards the matter. It did make sense that they'd disable the ability for summons to pilot the chariot. Which meant Kurai would have to be the one focused on driving. "We can do this!" she said, nodding to Seere as the hothead set about catching up to the rest of the pack. Last place for now, but things could always improve. Some cars and were near them wouldn't be too focused on the people behind them, thanks to trying to catch up to the top ranking people specifically. Panya saw this and smiled a little, even looking to Kurai. "As Sun Tzu once said, "In the midst of chaos, there is also opportunity." The carriage sped past the person in front of them, driving a sports car as its sole occupant had been taking potshots at another vehicle in front of them. They must have finally noticed somebody about to overtake them and pointed their firearm at Kurai. Panya was quick to kick open the sarcophagus partially, a small bandage wrapping spilling out as she'd swing it overhead before sending it crashing down on top of the car. Metal bent, cried out in inanimate agony and sputtered while the vehicle was out of commission. Panya had missed the driver intentionally as she looked out. "IM SORRY!" she yelled out. "BUT YOU WERE KIND OF TRYING TO KILL US!"kurai
