Nyke had been in and out of Paris lately a lot. It was a nice city and he was happy Earth-chan had unlocked it, he figured there would be some more traps or fighting monsters for the Earth's entertainment but to him it wasn't much different from how life was before. Being toyed with and told what to do by a higher power, just this time it was the Earth itself.[break][break]

Nyke picked up the pace a bit as Emir left him behind unintentionally. he wasn't sure if his accidental full stop made things awkward or not. "Nah I think I got it, wouldn't deserve any of the rewards if I didn't pull my own weight." He smiled looking to Emir.[break][break]
"Ah you're an AOE typa guy huh? Nice nice I don't got much of that myself. I'll keep that in mind while we fight." Nyke looked Emir up and down almost comically as he took a few steps to the side.[break][break]
"Wouldn't want to be caught in the Death Harbinger's grasp by accident." He smiled holding a thumb up to Emir.[break][break]
"I won't get in your way!" It was at this moment one of the larger bipedal fish launched form the river's edge at Nyke who had moved up a bit in his haste to get a ways away from Emir.[break][break]
He body took off before he even stopped looking at Emir, it was as if it had a mind of its own. He'd bring his hands back as a black charcoal sword materialized from his inventory. As he swung the blade the sound of children sobbing and crying could be heard. For someone who had no formal sword training he looked to have held it well.

Nyke wrenched his sword left then right, the sickening twist and snaps resounded as blood began to pool under the beast. His feet still pressed deeply into the things back his solemn eyes looked down at it sadly. His legs wobbled as he attempted to take a few steps causing him to fall on one knee. "Yeah I'm alright...thank you." He reached up grabbing Kai's hand attempting to catch his breathe.[break][break]
"Did you find other survivors? Any information from that person should help." He was still adamant about the mission, even with being so hurt.[break][break]
He stood back up fully his black charcoal sword vanishing as it went back into his inventory. "Lets go." He spoke softly placing a hand over his mid-section.[break][break]
Wrapping things up Nyke would lead the two back tot he encampment. They both were treated and after a short time talking to the survivor they had managed to saved got some very important information. it seemed they were separated from their group and there were survivors after all. It took only a matter of moments and some backtracking to find them, but after a time they were safely with the group who had requested aid. Nyke took his rewards, got Kai's information and went about his own way. [attr="class","wiingbot1"]

It had been a tough couple of days for Nyke. Several missions in a row with little to no rest had taken its toll on him. He came strolling back into the safe haven of LA. The fact that earth-chan had made it more affordable mean that his family had recently moved. He was dying to get to a bath and a bed, some R&R seemed like it would do him wonders right now.[break][break]
He'd strut his stuff getting in a better mood as he thought about all the relaxing he would do. Yet, he ears perked up to something. It was true that even though they had moved much of the neighborhoods were still in a downtrodden state. Often time those uninitiated into the violence were targeted. People who didn't look like they belonged or were out of place. Nyke often hated this, it was one of the reason he kept his head down, but not anymore. He turned into the alley hands on his hips as he tapped his foot. "Why are you guys always doing this shit huh?" He said in a loud stern voice.[break][break]

Nyke was also very interested in finishing this mission as quickly as possible, but there was no reason he couldn't also be friendly. He was glad he had some help. A sense of relieve came over him as the beast had initially came for him but Kai's interference caused for it to turn its attention to him. He watched as they tussled, with kai barely able to do damage to it. But, Nyke didn't need Kai to deal damage to it, he just needed Kai to keep it busy; he seemed to be doing a rather good job.[beak][break]
He took a wide run around the beast in a semi-circle, getting into its blind spot as he dipped its wild furious blows. His body carried him back in a flurry of fast steps and lightning quick movements as he met the back of the beast. The wide semi-circle he ran around the damn thing allowed him a running start. As as he neared he'd jump bringing both feet towards his chest. It was like he was nocking himself similar to an arrow, his feet snapping forward with reckless abandoned as the beast used its attack to damage Kai. As soon as Nyke's feet would slam into the back of the beast he'd look up and the two would shimmer, their images fading quickly.[break][break]
He took it upon himself to push the half a league boots to their maximum. He'd teleport him and the beast high into the air, as high as he could go. A whole twenty feet, normally this could not fell the beast. But with the momentum Nyke had started due to his audacious drop kick. The beat head would lurch forward being the first thing to dive towards the ground. If this wasn't enough Nyke would slam his blade into the back of this things neck, the air around his body lifting a sharp purple light escaped him. The veins in his forehead and face began to bulge as Introspection was activated around the beast.[break][break]
Nyke rode this screaming beast to the ground as it trashed and shook attempting to get him off of it. The loud dramatic crash kicked up dust as the beast head slammed first into the ground, driving the sword even further into the back of its neck. The purple box of energy wrapped around it continued to deal damage even thought it struggled to hold on to its life. [attr="class","wiingbot1"]

He listened to Ollie's words, Nyke had always tried to be receptive to criticisms and the fears of others. "Well the stomps sounded very metallic if that helps. But it also could be something else, it just sounded really big, never laid eyes on it sorry." He chuckled scratching the back of his head.[break][break]
Nyke spaced out as he got an alert to from the system, his eyes focusing in on the message as he flipped through the floating translucent screen. "Ahhh haaaa!" he exclaimed semi loudly pumping his hands.[break][break]
Looking around to the other two and where they were he covered his mouth. "Oh sorry ha I just got a message from the system it seems I got some back points from various missions and odd jobs. Needless to say a pay day just came in." His eyes focused in on Oliver smiling brightly.[break][break]

As Kai got to the scene and didn't see Nyke or the Akuma an uncanny silence would befall the surroundings. Then suddenly a scuffling could be heard from upstairs in the building. Almost as if to answer his question, glass shattered and Nyke was launched from the building. His body shifting in the air as he landed roughly on his feet falling back. He rolled attempting to catch himself and stand up, yet his legs wouldn't exactly let him in this moment. Instead, he stumbled back falling on his ass struggling to keep hold of his sword. The Akuma stuck its head out of the hole it had made screaming. Its hands were placed on either side of the building digging deep into it. Nyke had suffered a fair amount of cuts, bruises and scraps. Kai could see his nose and lips were busted completely, dried blood as well as bits of fresh blood still leaked from the wounds.[break][break]
Nyke hadn't addressed Kai yet, instead he place his hands and feet flat on the ground and stood still looking up at the beast whos loud screams echoed. In this moment the blood that dripped from Nyke and all the inklings of blood that had fallen began to slowly drift towards the beast. "You gotta be fucking kidding me." Nyke said aloud as he watched his nose blood travel upwards and be absorbed by the Akuma.[break][break]
"Yeah you can help me especially now seeing as how the little bit of damage I did do to the damn thing just got healed I presume...It looks healthier. Hit it with everything you have, everything you possible can." Nyke rose his sword bracing himself as the Akuma launched from the broken window at the two. Nyke took the time to run forward, hoping Kai would do just what he had asked and hit it with everything he possible could. [attr="class","wiingbot1"]

Nyke watched as Kai sped by, the arm of that Mecha released once more slapping against the arm that held the battered human. With a sigh of relief Nyke watched as he grabbed the human, ran and laid out suppressive fire; for a level one Kai's quick judgement was impressive. "Be safe and don't feel bad! You are doing everything you can!" Nyke's quick words of encouragements were yelled with his eyes remaining on the Akuma. [break][break]
The beast attempted to lash out trying to grab its possession back but Nyke blocked it with his sword. "No, your opponent is me you." It would screech loudly in protest, the many eyes on its helmet shot forward looking directly at Nyke as if it could stare into his soul.[break][break]
"Yeah that's it fucker, look at me." He'd grit his teeth barring down on the beast as he antagonized it. [break][break]
This seemed to work as the beast locked eyes with Nyke taking a measured step back. It lowered itself in an animalistic stance bringing one of its fist back. its feet fortified as Nyke braced himself, power chains wrapping around its wrist. Nyke couldn't help but attempt to bring his sword down, yet it wouldn't be enough. As his sword came down the beast became a blur to him rushing forward. Its fist rose right through his guard and with Nyke unable to block its fortified fist and enhanced speed struck his face clean. His head snapped back vision distorting as blood began to pour from his nose, mouth and various cuts on his face. His body tumbled slightly as he came to a roll.[break][break]
His hands shook as he attempted to pick himself up. With such a powerful punch delivered directly to his face his brain was rattled. In truth Nyke had never been hit anywhere close to this, damn Nyke had never been hit in his life. He had always escaped with minimal damage if any at all. He was good at talking himself out of fights and even better and making friends and making people laugh. His vision looked up tot he beast who began approaching slowly intent on finishing its job. He knew he couldn't reason with it, it was practically just a wild animal. He knew acting cute and making jokes wouldn't solve this and if he didn't' stand up and pick his sword up he was going to die, and maybe even Kai as well. "You know..." He said placing a hand on his own knee for support.[break][break]
Blood pouring from his face he rose slowly on wobbling legs. "A man does what he has to." He choked out in a strained voice bending over to pick up the wayward blade.[break][break]
"So he can do what he wants to." He took off, sword in hand pointed straight forward.[break][break]
The arrogant air that surrounded the beast was prominent and Nyke would use it to his advantage. What was only a matter of seconds seemed like minutes, his mind raced as the scholar within his soul guided his hands slowly. He could feel it, like a paternal father fixing his movements where they were off, hands guiding his own, an ethereal figure watching over him. [break][break]
As he neared the beast didn't bother to dodge, Nyke's blade hadn't bothered to damage him before and with how hurt he was he could surely block it like before. Except this time Nyke didn't only use his sword. He knew he could only strike with his sword once every few seconds, so to mitigate this restriction he'd finally be using his abilities. [break][break]
They outstretched before the beast could react due to the distance. Translucent purple hands 3 in total shot forth. One seemed large and faster than the others. It would hit first, square in the beast chest knocking it off kilter as it stumbled back. Nyke took a stance legs widening a bit as the point of his sword was brought forth. The two smaller hands had wrapped around the blade with curled fist clasping on either side of the sword. His face was fierce wrought with blood, and as the blade slammed into him so did the fist pushing right into the softened spot that was damaged previously.[break][break]
The beast was knocked back, its body sent flying into the hardened material of the darkened building. "Don't you underestimate me you boney sunnuvabitch!" [attr="class","wiingbot1"]

When Nyke had taken up this mission, he hadn't told his parents. It was becoming a daily thing now; lying to them. He didn't want them to worry, but he knew if he had gotten hurt or worse they would be devastated. It was unfathomable what came out of the dark building. His eyes rattled with rage, a tinge of fear behind them. His body moved before he could process it, the works of the scholar deep within his soul moving each of his joints in order keep its student alive. The cursed blade of the wayward lashed out with a swift cut through the air, brought forth with a flex of his muscled from his inventory. He struck at the arm that held the human. His foot would stomp out as he got close, every fiber of his being tensing. The tip of the blade was brought up and forward in a stabbing motion, both hands gripping the blade.[break][break]
As it slide forward cutting through the air and threatening to maim the beast its long gangly hand outstretched. Its left appendage the one free of human hair and flesh blocked the attack with one of its own. Nyke could tell, this beast was strong, probably just as strong as him in some ways; stronger in others. Its power certainly rivaled his own. For what seemed like a century they stood there in silence pushing against each other, testing each others strengths.[break][break]
"Kai...." The long pause that escaped an obviously struggle Nyke filled with hesitant breathes.[break][break]
"When you get an opening grab this person, they're still alive. We can save them. Wait for an opening, grab them and get out of here. As Dantalion was gathered Nyke breathed a sigh of relief. He attempted to hurry them alone trying to give Dantalion a hand, but as the monster followed his worried expression was brought back up. "I have an idea, follow me." He lead the group to the large lake from before.[break][break]
He figured in this state Dantalion probably couldn't swim, but with Rory and Nyke's help they all three could make it to the other side; the dumb thrashing ogre would follow.
