Earnestly, Malorie was out of depth going out on a diplomacy mission, but she was not about to complain on getting the chance to actually go out on the expedition for it. She wanted to gain more experience, and even if she was no main character she was more or less here to act as an extra set of hands for the group that she was travelling with. In that case, surprising no one, she was still travelling with the young bird-loving teen that she had met before, having come to the conclusion that she was safest in the girl's presence then otherwise.

The other addition is new, but she was apparently fairly well known: Argent. The good doctor, poorly mannered as it were, did not ask for a last name. Unlike herself, who preferred to still be called by her old title and last name, many seemed to have given up on the point of having a last name in this age. She was a Lynne forever and always in her life, but that meant nothing in the current era of chaos. That was part of what they now aimed to solve though!

The red-head asked in rhetorical ways as she continued without a missing beat, "My name is Malorie Lynne, but I go by Dr. Lynne as I was before the system. I excel more at long drawn out fights, though I hope it does not come to that."

With the first part of their mission done, Aliyah and Dr. Lynne were now free to proceed further into the island though they were presented with two paths that they could take. "Sharks or Nagas. Well, sharks would be pretty hard for any of the birb squad to fight since they can just hide underwater so that just leaves the nagas then." the witch concluded. Both of these paths were new since the system message had just gone out so there weren't any rumors that she picked out from the hub so this was going to be a leap into the unknown.[break][break]

As they were about to head in, 2 more people walked over, joining their little squad, bringing their total up to 4 members. "Oh hello. Are you guys also here to do Ender's Island? We should totally team up! I hear that people get party bonuses at larger parties." Aliyah stated in an excited, valley-girl tone of voice before sending the pair a party invite.[break][break]

As Dr. Lynne started her introductions, Aliyah listened with one ear as she went over the changes that the party bonus had given her. "Oh! The party bonuses affect you guys as well. That's a pleasant effect." Aliyah mentally cheered as she read the system message.[break][break]

Party Bonus "Healthy Amount" has been applied. All party members get a 15% increase in all stats.[break][break]

"King easily gets to B rank speed now, especially with my passive bonus. Orion, you're at C rank now as well. Once we throw your Tengu forms into the mix as well and we should be able to handle anything that this island decides to give us." Aliyah finished to the mental cheer of 2 of her 3 birds before it was her turn to make introductions.[break][break]

"I'm Aliyah Johnson. My class is called Ornithologist which basically lets me talk to birds and tame them. This is Orion and Aquila." she said, indicating each bird as they raise a wing in greeting; Orion from her shoulder and Aquila from feasting on the flesh of the dead fishman from earlier.

Argent’s shiny new katana was slung over her back, partially blocking the pink huntress emblazoned on her cropped jacket. Her hair, silver as ever, was in a high ponytail with her Lunar Knife tucked away into it. A book-shaped pendant swung around her neck, a particular pink bangle on her wrist, and the final of her accessories were a trio of orange beads that hung from her belt.

”Assassin here.” Argent pulled out her knife, flipping it in her hand as she looked around at the others. Four of them together meant that they got a basic party buff, and with her own [Stealth Up!] active, her stats were already looking really nice! ”Call me Argent!”

Looking down the path that cut through the forest ahead, she was glad to have found a party to travel with. The Naga’s Path… she didn’t know how many creatures were lurking in the shades to ambush them, but the purple banners that lined the path certainly didn’t make it any more inviting. Glancing back to the party, she tried her best to assess how this would go.

The [Recherche Watcher] Dr. Lynne was a bit of a mystery to Argent; she wasn’t quite sure what to make of her being good at gathering info, but chalked it up to the woman being a scout of some kind. She at least seemed to have some understanding of her fighting ability, at least! ”Drawn out fights, huh? Long CD? I mean hey, if we’re lucky maybe we won’t run into too many… but with them trees like that, I don’t trust it!

As she mentioned trust, Argent’s eyes flitted between the birds sitting upon their witch’s shoulders. Aliyah introduced herself as an Ornithologist… a bird person? Hmm. ”What, do they like, eat bugs?” She didn’t wanna be rude, but Orion and Aquila were making Argent a little uncomfortable. Birds, bro, they’re always just so weird! People already thought birds worked for the government before the world collapsed, but now? With Earth-chan running the place, there was no way they weren’t being controlled! At least Aliyah seemed to have control over them… ”You uh, control them, right?”

Taking a step back, their last guy seemed like more of a fighter than the other two, at least. ”Oh, pft that’s funny- We’re all [Gifts]!” Argent tucked her dagger away into her jacket as she pulled the X-Calibur off her pack, ready to move out. ”DPS is my main thing, but with this brand-spankin’-new sword I can do a little buff to for another weapon. AND it gives me some extra AoE too, pretty lit if you ask me!” That had been her main draw to the weapon when she first bought it. Her class was amazing at single-targeting, but against groups it left a little to still be wanting for. Hopefully this [Naga’s Path] wouldn’t have too many to face off against, but at least she was ready if it did!
