A set of simple message screens appearing in front of her, and immediately she was not happy with what was being placed in front of her. Recerche Watcher. She didn't actually look at the other two since they appeared too slowly on the screen, whatever got the screen closed in this pitch black space the fastest. A second prompt, spot the difference, or die trying. Malorie would frown at the demand, but it read mission like on her daily sudoku board from the app on her phone. A photo before her, then another. A farm view, simple at first as she pointed out what was different. Her inquisitive mind caring more about the puzzle then whatever was going on. A smile spreading over her face as she solved puzzle after puzzle. Until there was a picture of a real wolf and something wolf like, it was as realistic as it could get. She paused to try and tell the two apart. Her synesthesia giving her two very different sensations as she spotted the only difference on the board. The eyes of the wolves were different, not by much, but they were definitely different. She could feel it.

Malorie would select it. A congratulations pop-up, and then she was in her office. confused as something like a brainstalk fell to the ground and exploded in front of her. It was an invigorating feeling to watch it explode over the floor. Looking around everyone in the building was covered by one. She needed to leave... why was she so utterly calm? She wasn't sure, but this was definitely a change. A smile crossed her face as she walked out the door, leaving the building to the braineaters. She had larger fish to fry.

Akimitsu sighed as he stretched out across the newly repaired steps of the moon palace."Just as good as new." He said, patting the cold stone steps like an old friend or beloved pet. The exhausted man popped the top on his third beer of the night, then drank a third of it in one go. "It's a wonder they were able to haul this stone up here, damn near broke my back trying to do it alone." Akimitsu chuckled as he stared up at the moon. " If only Gramps could see me now...."

"Nope, not interested in being a summoner or a mage, but this one is right up my alley," Akimitsu said before sitting up and choosing the shrine warden. "Looks like I'll carry you with me from now on, old friend." Akimitsu toasted the shrine and then killed his beer in a final pull.

"Could have at least let me stand up system," he said as he picked himself up and brushed off his worn jeans and work shit. "Ok, system, what's next?" He said just before looking up to see the woman across the street.

Pupils, dilated. Bloodshot retinal veins. Obvious signs of a drunk, or at least an intoxicated man. Sighing she would pat her hands on her side. Trying to clear them of blood that was not on them still yet, looking around before finally replying to the man. A smile practiced from years of medicine took over her face, "Nice to meet you Sir, and I would say a bit more than just a strange message. Do you think this is a fever dream of some form? This is not the city I know for my optomitry practice. Which is both a thrilling mystery and intensely horrifying."

He was a VIT based class, her passive told her as much, but she got nothing from checking for his name. 'Would you like to use the party function?' Ah, another odd prompt. She would focus on it only long enough to mentally check the box on the prompt and move her eye contact to keep even with the man's eyes. Even if they made her skin itch from the obvious signs of alcohol, her synesthesia was making maintaining that eye contact rather hard.

She needed to be more observant then that.

Aki initially hung on the woman's words, assuming the woman had to know something more than he did in his buzzed state, especially when she introduced herself as a doctor. He scratched his head and wondered how his life had turned from the mundane to something out of a manga in seconds. "Definitely not the world from before, but I still hope this all is a drunken dream." He said with a shrug as he looked up at the unfamiliar sky. He definitely wasn't in Japan anymore, let alone Kansas.

Aki shrugged, a little disappointed after the doctor finished talking, as she seemed clueless in all this as he was. "Nice to meet you, Dr.Lynne; my name is Akimitsu, but Aki is fine. I'm not one for formalities. My mission is to escort another player to safety. It doesn't say who, though."
