Nyke had scoured around for anything and everything to get going. He couldn't take anymore of those six am runs his body forced him on, it was pure torture one he couldn't exactly escape from. The first few days were just him flailing and screaming as his legs carried him forth, the vague feeling of some otherworldly determination in his chest driving him forward against his will. When he promised the earth he'd work hard this wasn't exactly what he mean, more so on the lines of getting a damn job but what was done was done.[break][break]
Currently he stood on the outskirts of this land just out of site and reach of any machines. He nestled on a perch atop a building who's gilded arch and craftsmanship hid him from the sun. His parents had been reluctant on letting him go and by parents it was certainly just his mom, his dad was all for it practically pushed him out of the house. They had faced their own tutorials and come out alive and the fact he had done the same was well enough for his father who wanted nothing for his son to find his own success. [break][break]
Nyke wondered why he chose such a dangerous place as a meeting spot, or why the hell the passenger in his body forced him out of the house so damn early. These were questions still prominent to him, ones he probably would never get the answer to. He shrugged sitting in the shadows as a means to not draw attention to himself.[break][break]

Hana walked the street below, or at least what was left of it. Avoiding the edges of massive potholes, skirting past abandoned vehicles. This should be an easy enough mission. Just find some paperwork. Or a computer, or memory card, or something. Anything related to the laboratory specified in the mission details. Thankfully she could pull that back up through the system whenever it became necessary, because she definitely wasn't going to remember all those codewords and numbers.

She was dutifully looking back and forth, keeping an eye out for...well, anything strange. Strange things weren't that strange anymore, or at least more common. Hana wasn't really looking upwards, though, so she walked right past Nyke's perch. Hopefully she could get in, grab enough to satisfy this mad scientist, and get out.

If she ran into anything too unusual or threatening, well...she could always teleport away. Some data wasn't worth getting hurt over, even if she could heal by drinking a potion or whatever now.

Nyke was naturally perceptive even if he was absent mindedly picking his nose, it did help that he was on a high perch. His eyes picked up on a moving figure in the distance and before he could process anything his body was already incessantly moving about on its own. "Wait, wait body!" He whispered in a alarmed hush tone. [break][break]
"We don't want to alarm them!" He never got an answer back, just movement as he was carried along like a backseat passenger.[break][break]
His climb down was skillful enough, dexterous hands and nimbly quick feet made sure of this guided by his possessed body and the wonderfully durable yet flexible toe shoes he sported often. The daily runs had made sure his stamina was up to par so when he got down Nyke was barely winded. Not having to actually bother with guiding his body most of the time allowed his mind to focus on other things, he brought up the menu as he climbed down. Looking at the list of contacts and who he was suppose to be meeting with. "Behind You..." He'd send them realizing the creepy and alarming context that could come across with that message a little to late. [break][break]
To rectify this he tried to pose in a suave manner leaning up on a nearby hunk of metal as if he wasn't doing anything. [break][break]

Hana came to a stop as she heard the notification ping from the system. "Hmm?" It took her a moment to pull it up and read it over, giving Nyke time to make his descent and decide on just the right pose to be noticed in. She froze briefly, before accessing the inventory system, withdrawing something.

Whirling quickly, Hana raised the guitar over her head with both hands wrapped around the neck. "Who are you why are you-" She cut off as soon as she spotted him. "...why would you sneak up on someone like that!?" She shouted out, more irritated than scared, it seemed.

Nervously he scratched the back of his head. It had been so long since he had interacted with others, if you hadn't counted his tutorial so he often times was a a lose for words and lacked social ques. Instead he straightened up taking a few cautionary steps towards her. "Uh yeah.. haha I am here for that, sorry. I'm the guy who uh did the message to you and stuff? TryHard it should say correct? Yeah I'm TryHard nice to meet you." His hand stayed on the back of his head as he looked down towards Hana's feet, anywhere but her actual eyes. [break][break]

Hana reflexively scootched back a step as he approached, but kept the guitar at her side. He didn't seem like a danger...just weird. The name had definitely been a hint. "I'm Hana. Do you, uh...want me to call you Try, or...?"

She tilted her head as he stumbled through his words. "Is this your first mission after the Tutorial?" Hana had definitely been pretty confused herself right after all of that. "You got everything, like...figured out?" She nodded after a few moments, though. "Yeah, let's go. So we can finish and get out of here."

"Mmmhmm, I know what you mean. You just kinda...know how to do these things now." Hana nodded along, before looking forward to give the facility a once over. While not having to find any keys or cards or codes to open the door helped speed things up, entering through a hole in the wall wasn't exactly reassuring. There seemed to be plenty more holes through the walls and ceilings, which meant the upper floors would be difficult to navigate. And, of course, whatever Swiss cheesed the place might still be around.

"So...the stairs, then? I can't fly or superjump or anything, and I doubt the elevator's still working. Not that I'd risk that either." Hana pointed to the elevators, then past them to the clearly marked door to the stairwell. "We can just, like, peek into each floor for a sec." If he didn't have any objections, she'd begin making her way over, walking slowly and making sure to take a good look around the dilapidated area.

He nodded along with her request, using the service elevators might be a bit safer, upon inspection they seemed a bit more intact than the metallic ones that spiraled up each floor. The square grey facility looked like something purely out of fiction to Nyke the nerd in him liked it. Yet the worn down look of it gave him and eerie feeling he figured they could do a lil more than a peak just to make sure. "Maybe we should do a bit more than just peak, ya know just to be safe. Going together might be better too know knows what's still around?" He chuckled nervously attempting to be a gentlemen like his father had instructed and step Infront of Hana.
"Here let me." His first step was a sure one then the second before he was pretty positive that the steps were alright.[break][break]
it was his following sure footed steps that caused one of the rather seedier looking steps to cave way as he stumbled nearly falling through before caught himself on the railing. It took everything in him to not yelp in surprise as he pulled himself back out with another famously nervous chuckle. "Oh haha we better watch out for that."[break][break]
His nimble legs stepped up above the steps making extra careful to work around them. As they came to the first floor his eyes peered through the crack in the door before opening it with his body behind it. Just like the first floor and the ones above this entire floor had open glass panning to each room, allowing one to see inside. Dirty broken blinds rested against some of the rooms where others had completely fell down. A single long railing stretched across the big square preventing people from falling down the scenic opening to the bottom floor. He took a single step forward beyond the door and a few others crouched as if he was a secret agent spy. He took a glance back to Hana motioning for her to follow him with the utmost serious of looks. Despite all this Nyke did look comically silly, whether he was doing this on purpose to lighten the mood or he was just socially clueless was still to be questioned.[break][break]

Hana stepped aside to let Nyke try the steps first, wincing as he almost immediately have a step give way under his foot. "Um, are you okay?" He brushed her off and continued ascending, so with a shrug she followed along after.

Holding the door open, she watched with a mixture of confusion and interest as he crouch-walked away. "...?" She tilted her head for a moment, before realizing he expected her to follow. Hesitating, she ducked a bit and moved away from the doorway, glancing side to side. "Why are we walking like this?"

He looked back to her as she questioned him only to pause momentarily as his brain short circuited due to the question. She seemed more experienced so maybe they didn't have it mission impossible secret agent man this whole thing. "Oh uh..." he replied back in a whisper standing up slowly. [break][break]
"I just thought it would be better to sneak since an old dangerous robot has been seen stalking this place and could possible kill us?" His answer was more of a question he waited for her to confirm.[break][break]
"And to add some agency and urgency to our quest I guess?" His low whisper turn to just low speech as he complete began to drop the act scratching the back of his head due to his nerves once again.[break][break]
It was very apparent Nyke was starting to feel stupid, or rather make himself feel stupid. He just tutored plainly still smiling awkwardly. "Okay well then lets proceed haha." His anxiety riddled chuckle resounded lowly as they made their way tot he first room.[break][break]
The door was practically caved in causing for Nyke to have to push it the rest of the way down. It made a loud thud that he attempted to silence by catching it but to no avail the door broke in anyway. He made grimace looking around as his whisper returned, "Shit sorry."[break][break]
He'd do this a few more times checking room after room and failing to be any sort of quiet or stealthy before it was time to move to the next floor.

Hana watched the gears turn for a few moments, before her new partner stood up. She followed suit, giving a little tug to her clothes afterward to straighten them. "With all this glass, I think it'll see us coming no matter what. Or, uh, we'll see it." She spoke somewhat quietly as well, still.

"...or it'll just hear us..." Hana winced as the first door caved in. After the second, though, she realized there wasn't anything that could be done about it. "This place is really falling apart. I don't know if we should go up any higher." They'd already had a bit of trouble with the first set of stairs, after all.

Still, they could risk one more floor. Didn't want to leave empty-handed, right? "Wait a sec, stay here. Let me try. Just, like...keep a lookout." Guitar in one hand, she pointed the other down the glass paneled hallway, picking out each of the doors they'd be able to see through from here, if they were open. A moment after each gesture, the shape of a hand extended from the closest shadow to the door, twisting and turning the knob until it popped open, retreating after a firm push.

"Can you just look from here? Or, like, just jog past them and get back here?" Hana seemed slightly distracted, eyes focused across the floor, finger flicking each time the shadowed nudged a door open for her. "...watch your step, don't fall through the floor or anything."

He'd look in amazement as the doors began to pop open one by one. The shadowy figure that appeared to carefully open all the doors they could see shocked him. "That's so freaking cool!" He exclaimed in a loud whisper.[break][break]
"Yeah I gotchu I gotcha." He nodded in excitement as he focused his eyes on the open doors.[break][break]
It wasn't as obvious as glowing eyes eyes but if you looked at him you could see it; another iris forming equipped with its very own pupil. They began to swirl around each other slowly as if adjusting like a telescope. As both his eyes focused in he smiled, "Ah I see it now."[break][break]
He could see what type of walls these were, what kind of wood they used for the door which direction the wind was blowing and how fast among other things. His gaze turned to Hana curiously as he smiled. "I have no idea what this looks like but hopefully it isn't creepy haha." He laughed nervously fully expecting it to be weird but not really understanding the depth.[break][break]
He could even see her level; a fact which he kept to himself. "Okay lets see here," he'd say looking around.[break][break]
His search almost came up unfruitful as he looked into each door even squinting to focus in his vision. He'd walk along side to side in an attempt to get better angles as for the next 15 minutes he didn't say anything. "Ah there it is," he'd point outward in another semi loud hushed tone.[break][break]
He began stealthily sprinting before Hana could say a word determined to get the file and get them out of there before anything came stomping around.[break][break]

"Thanks, it's one of the few useful tricks I've got." Hana finished with the last door she could see, lowering her hand as the shadowy copy retreated as well. Glancing back at Nyke at his comment, she did make a strange face in responce. "Uh, just a little. I've...seen weirder, though. Recently."

She turned her gaze back to the floor they were on, looking through the open doorways...but she couldn't make out much. Nyke was obviously seeing something more than her, so she might as well leave it up to him. After a few minutes, she took a seat, back against the door to the stairwell, guitar across her lap. She might need glasses, but her hearing was as sharp as you'd expect from a musician. She'd just keep her ears perked for anything out of the ordinary.

"What is...? Hey!" Hana awkwardly hurried back to her feet as her companion suddenly took off. She glanced back and forth before following after. It wouldn't be a good idea to lose sight of him, if they needed to leave suddenly. At least it was fairly obvious which way he was heading, since she'd only been able to open so many doors.
