maybe it's a dream, maybe nothing else is real  Don't get it twisted, Ryuko isn't really the adventurous type. She's the kind of girl who finds a place she likes and pretty much stays there, that is unless there's a compelling reason for her to leave and seek what she doesn't have. Which is why she hauled her ass to the barren ice wastes of the north. Following her little escapade at that tutorial she had not too long ago, Ryuko came to the realization that she was pretty lacking in this new world. Back before Earth-chan's message, she still had some influence and power in her general area but that's all pretty much been thrown to waste since everyone now has powers. Kinda hard to bully someone into doing what you want when they could start throwing fireballs or whatever at as they please. Not only that but... "Level 1, huh?" Ryuko muttered to herself as she sat in the snow, staring at her status screen. The number hasn't changed since her first encounter with Earth-chan, and now it's just on her screen, mocking her. The whole point of the excursion to Antarctica was to gather materials to make something badass, something worthy to be wielded by her and give her that edge that she needed. There have been rumors about what lies in the region; the monsters and the loot seemed to be quite lucrative, or at least lucrative enough to warrant her attention. The animals up here were what she had her eyes on. Specifically, a wolf's fang would make a killer sword. Like a show she used to watch when she was little. Anyways, before setting out she put up an open party invite to anyone in the area that wanted to tag along. It was highly unlikely she'd actually need everything she got from the trip. It was hard to believe all she had to do to travel to the North Pole was access the system menu at a waypoint. Hana had already tested this on some of the most hospitable destinations, just to be sure it really worked. Europe didn't much resemble what it had been like when she vacationed there, nor did the current America remind her much of the times she'd lived there. The travel itself had been safe and instant, as advertised, so she decided to give it a proper test.

She was surprised to find plenty of other...adventurers? Players? Plenty of other people here. Exploring, running missions. There were even a few with party invitations open, welcoming to lower levels. One in particular caught her eye.

"Tamiyuki-san?" Hana approached, crunching through the snow in big boots, voiced slightly muffled by the large scarf. She actually wasn't sure she needed the thick jacket and extra layers...while this place was definitely cold, it didn't seem as dangerously inhospitable as she'd always assumed. Maybe that had changed along with everything else. "Um, I hope I'm not intruding..." She gave a little wave now that she was closer, the system having led her over. The same system now pinging Ryuko that Hana had joined her party.

Unlike last time she had way more clothes. A yellow open robe draped over a yellow rain coat with a hood that was lace with fur. Blue boots lace with fur along with blue pants protecting her from the nibbling freezing air. On the coat were two large pouches with a gooey liquid dripping down the sides. The liquid on her left pouch was purple and the liquid on her right side was green. A whip hung at her side retracted and a determined face looked forward to the baren wasteland. For today, she was going to collect ice to make her own Ice Cream for her own guild.[break][break] However, that would have to wait for a new thing pulled her attention away from her goal. That new thing was a ping for a party invite. It was weird... she did not know the name. Ryuko Tamiuka... it sounded like one of those names she saw in Soule but it was different. She couldn't explain it but... in thought, she found herself accepting. Then a marker appeared signaling to follow. The girl just shrug, "Looks like its time to adventure before we get our ice my Porings!" The girl then followed the marker until she came across two girls talking. The marker disappear signaling that these were her party members. So well the girl walked up but since the two were talking, she took out a warm thermos from her inventory and starter patiently drinking it. while the two finished whatever they were doing. She didn't even have to check that people had shown up, the notification was pretty much all she needed. Curious as to who her companions were going to be, her neck twisted back and forth until she heard a soft voice. A few meters out in front of her was her first party member... "Sakuyuki-san?" Ryuko was squinting at the party list as she spoke, figuring out what to call her new companion. "I guess it's Hana since someone is bound to get confused... uh, oh, hello! Don't worry about it, I was looking for some people. Thanks for coming along." And then there was another person that joined. The menus said they were near by so it didn't take long for Ryuko to notice them either. "Pori, huh? That's an... interesting one.""Alright, well, since we're all here I'll give the plan. I'm out here looking to kill me the biggest, baddest wolf we can find so I can rip it's teeth out of it's mouth and maybe take its pelt. Hana seemed to smile at the greeting, although that scarf was in the way. "Oh, um, sure, Hana works." She hadn't quite been expecting that sort of familiarity, honestly, when she'd seen Ryuko's name. Now that she was closer, Hana couldn't help but notice how tall the other girl was. "Nice to meet you!"

That really was her name. "...Pori." She wasn't quite sure what to think. The new arrival didn't seem old (or imposing) enough to be doing something potentially dangerous, but...Hana wasn't that old (or that imposing) herself.

"W-wait, a wolf?" She stood up straight, turning towards Ryuko again. "You want to...kill it? Hey!" What was visible of her face above the scarf seemed paler than usual at the thought.

The party system thing already gave her name though the girls had added something to the end of their name just like Yun Min Suu did with hers though instead it be sii, it was was san. Pori was super sure now that they were from the Asia continent. If they were Korean, then they were probably monsters in their own right... After all, she experienced a Korean tutorial and that monster was... well... she never wanted to go into a tutorial ever again. With that being said the people here were Tamiyuki-san and Hana... or Sakuyuki-san. Those names were a bit of mouthful. Well saying Hana wasn't so bad but she was not sure what to call the other woman who joined this party. [break][break] Pulling the thermal away from her face. She nodded, "Hi hi, I'm Pori Flan. And I think your name is interesting too Ta... Tami yu yukey. Tamiyukey San! It has so many syllables!" She then pointed to her pouches with a slimy liquid dripping from their side. maybe it's a dream, maybe nothing else is real Hm. Ryuko never considered that. "Is anything real nowadays? We have levels, magic, and the world talks to us. I don't think it really matters anymore." She spoke in an indifferent tone. In truth, Rykuko didn't care if it was real or fake; she would kill it either way. And then Pori mentioned something they probably thought was lighthearted but quite terrifying in reality. Ryuko hasn't really tested out her limits nor the limits of the world yet, so when a pack of wolves was brought up and how quickly they tore apart some poor sap it planted a seed of doubt in her. Granted, it would take time to go so Ryuko was still pretty confident, but eventually, it might grow into something larger. During all this, she was still trekking deeper and deeper into the trees. She wasn't quiet, not in the slightest, taking large and loud steps and banging on trees as she passed. The quickest way to get some predator to notice you is by looking like prey, something she learned quickly back in Japan. Now in a near yell, she kept talking to her party. "So what do y'all do? At the moment I'm looking to be more of a tank if anything, something big and strong I think." The word choice for tank would probably make them think of an actual war vehicle as Ryuko was pretty foreign to video games and MMOs, so stuff like the trinity and composition was lost on her. Hana was having a bit of trouble keeping up with Ryuko's long strides through the snow. Jenny and Henry...had more players joined? She looked back at Pori. Then at the goo leaking from her bulging pouches. She seemed confused for a moment, before remembering one of the abilities she herself had been assigned. "Oh, did you get some sort of, uh, summoned pets, Pori?" She nodded at the girl, before turning to try to keep up with Ryuko.

This was not the time to dive into some backstory nor did she want to talk about it. What mattered was moving forward and even if she had some bad experiences, even if the first friend she met here abandoned her just like her last friend in the old world, she was going to push forward. "I have no such abilities!" she answered boasting as if the lack of a skill was something to write home about. This was a half truth though. She did have an attack that created a slime minion but she would hardly call that a summon. It was more like... a baby! The move was even called baby slime. Though, it died very quickly and thus she would have to grieve. To be born in this world for such a short time, unable to experience the true joy of life. Pori listened to the strangers talk. Already, one of them was really worried about fighting things and the other. So when Tamiyuki brought up wanting to be a tank Pori nodded. She heard the term before. She did not fully understand it but she and an idea of what Tamiyuki meant. However, that did not really share her abilities. The other person gave a better idea on what she could do... but not really. She said she could not attack, which was important. It explained why she was so nervous about the wolves. She said she could support but... well... that was vague. So the girl decided to follow suit. "I got a cool whip!" She pulled out her weapon and extended the whip while attacking a nearby rock, "So do you have a plan Tamiyukey-San!" [break][break] The girl's smile hid a hint of nervousness about this situation. Maybe this would be a bit more dangerous than she thought. Had she not had to deal with the demons, that mass of shadow that devoured people in the tutorial, the slime hunter, and that dreaded crab, the girl might be a bit more optimistic. The cold lands of Antarctica that was already harsh for most, now infested with monsters and animals that were now as strong as monsters, attempting to explore the wildish unprepared was a task most would find perhaps brave, or stupid. maybe it's a dream, maybe nothing else is real That was easy. The howls were somewhat surprising, causing Ryuko to jump a little as she turned her attention toward the pack. It was less their effects, as her [SPD] now went from 10 to 9, and more of the fact that they showed up seemingly out of thin air. While that's probably standard for predators, Ryuko still didn't like it. Despite that fact, she took charge, taking a step closer to the wolves. She had made sure that her party was behind her, proccing her skill " take charge" and boosting her [DEF] by 5%, going from 14 to 15. Man, she really needed to level up. "Just our luck, three wolves and three people." She glared at the animals, like that was supposed to have any effect. "Each of us takes one, yell my name if you need to be covered. We play this smart, and everyone gets to go home, yeah?" On that last line she shot a glance to Pori, the person she had the least amount of faith in at the moment. It was the first time her height was seen as a negative but she did her best to keep smiling. Using the next question as a way to change her own mood she tried to perk up, "I bought it from the store. I didn't want to fight things by punching and kicking. It doesn't work well with me at least." Shortly after series of howling stopped her in her tracks. She felt herself pulled out of her body and dragged to a cave she could not really go anywhere no matter how much she tried to walk however she was able to see a wolf and a baby wolf. It was so cute to see the big one lick the little one but then they stopped and another howl yanked her to her body.[break][break] Upon reaching her body, she felt a bit dizzy and fell onto her knees. "Wh... what was that." Her smile stayed on the ground as the girl rubbed her eyes. She was not hurt or anything but it seemed that she fell behind the group.
