Valentine made his way through the waygate, the day had been long thus far, and he didn’t have any idea what he’d be walking into but he had a task to accomplish, a sister to save. He couldn’t just wait around and rest on his laurels. Per usual he and Saint Claire had split up to cover more ground, this time he made his way through a random waygate. Having heard that a person fitting his sisters description had been spotted in the area around it. [break][break]

After searching in the hub around the waygate for days he ultimately decided that his best bet would be to go through it. Especially considering he hasn’t gotten any further clues as to where his sister could be within The Hub. [break][break]

He didn’t know why his sister would go to such a place or even if she knew what she would’ve Valentine, did however manage to get some information on what this new area was like. He stepped through the waygate a stoic expression on his face, in a flash of white he had arrived. He glanced around as his eyes adjusted. This area was weird, and honestly it made him feel uneasy, it reminded him so much of the tutorial he and his brother had been through. Sans the large cables that seemed to occupy this place and the massive amounts of fog.[break][break]

Valentine stuck close to the waygate for now just in case he had to make a quick exit. He didn’t know how dangerous this place was, only that undead and machine like creatures seemed to frequent it.[break][break]

He tried to look as far into the distance as he could but all he saw were ruined and fallen skyscrapers, wires and fog. “Well shit, guess this is going to be one of those days,” he sighed rubbing the back of his head.[break][break]

Miyah adjusted the fabric around her face, the red cotton polyester blend kept her nose and mouth covered. Only her dark eyes were truly visible, along with the slightly wild short brown hair. The girl leant against a telephone pole, her eyes watching the waygate. Her arms were crossed, the black holster strapped around her waist standing out from the rest of her clothing. Watching the man materialise into the ruined Russian landscape. She waited for a moment, wondering if the man had spotted her. Standing a few dozen feet away, she was rather conspicuous, but the very thick fog that gently rested along the city streets helped to obscure her ever so much.

“And what kind of days are you referring too?” She replied, pushing herself off the pole, heading towards the man standing just in front of the waypoint. The girl quite nimbly stepped over a piece of debris bellow her, never breaking her gaze on the man. “What brings you to a place like this? Not the most hospitable.” She let out a small laugh, her hand subtly resting on the engraved handle on her left hip. She was cautious as always, not wanting to be caught out in a place like this especially. She tilted her head inquisitively. “Your name?” She asks, coming to a stop a few feet in front of Valentine. She had been lurking around Europa for a while now, picking up small in insignificant quests. Miyah had to adapt, to the lack of her firearm, and the seemingly increased abilities she was no capable of. “But keep your voice down, it tends to travel along the streets.” She added, pulling the red cloth down, tucking it back around her neck.

“I’m finishing off a quest, need to gather a few more of these.” She said, pulling a handful of small circuit boards out from a bag on her side. “You can find ‘em on some of the dead machines, but the little ones that are still functional are more likely to carry them.” She finished, tucking the blue and green boards back into her bag. “I can share it to you, save you a bit of work.” She added, raising her forearm, the white display flashing back up to greet her.

The tiny whir of machinery sounded, far to quiet for either of the two individuals to notice. The robot was tiny, the camera positioned on its front rotated around, enhancing the view of the creature. It sat on 4 spindly legs, a pair of wings tucked behind its exposed circuitry. It couldn’t have been bigger than a small garden bird. It continued to perch and watch the figures, the camera it had for a head steadily tracking them as it moved.

Valentine was momentarily taken back by a voice that came from the fog. His body tensed but soon relaxed as a woman emerged. He gave a warm smile, and his shoulder relaxed as he turned his head toward her. Perhaps some would think such a relaxed demeanor was odd given this new world and some of the people left in it, but Valentine's high willpower had a way of funneling negative thoughts into the abyss now if he so wished. Instead, he watched calmly as she moved, calculating ways he could easily escape if she were to try anything funny. [break][break]

He shrugged as he spoke, "the kind rot with peril," Valentine said, his smile deepening as he watched the young woman move. His eyes flicked toward the handle on her left hilt, as she continued speaking. Trailing upward, Valentine took in the rest of her, he thought she was rather pretty. He liked her shaggy hair and the way she was on guard even as she spoke and moved closer. He could tell that she had already been the type to adjust to this new world. Which was good, he could work with that.[break][break]

"Looking for my little sister, haven't seen her since all this happened," he said gesturing to the grand amount of chaos that was the Forgotten Mists. "Ran short on leads so just checking where I can how I can," he said another shrug forming as he spoke.[break][break]

Then the girl asked for his name, and he turned to her fully, he bowed slightly as he spoke "Valentine, and yours?" Usually, he would give a more formal greeting, putting his surname first, but that's when people were also formal, and far more respectful. It was often customary to give one's own name before asking for another after all. [break][break]

Valentine nodded, he wasn't familiar with this area and well she seemed to be more so than him, thus he would take her word for it. Especially considering from what he had heard monsters in this area did, in fact, attack any human they came across. As to what kind of monsters there were he didn't know. [break][break]

Then Valentine's eyebrow rose as he glanced at the circuit board in the girl's hands. "Great, more mechanical monsters," he said with a small sigh. His mind flashed back to the mechs in Japan. He shook his head slightly, "Thanks, I appreciate it!" He said with a smile, bringing up his own menu stated, "feel free to send it over, but would you like to do this together?" Valentine said, going toward his party menu options, and sending it over, he waited for her to respond. The choice was up to her whether or not she'd like to work together in such a venture. [break][break]
