Mission Name: The Spectral Investigation[break]

Mission Description: There have been reports of increased ghostly activities near a prominent portal in the Devil’s Triangle, this happens to be near an island full of friendly demi-humans. The mission objective is to assemble a team of skilled adventurers to investigate the cause behind the surge in spirit manifestations. The team needs to explore the astral realm connected to the portal and gather information about any malevolent entities or disturbances causing the disturbances in both realms. The ultimate goal is to find a way to pacify the spirits or resolve the underlying issue to restore the balance between the islanders and prevent further disruptions.[break]

Malevolent spirits. The arcane. Hikari was never one to delve into those kinds of messes. And yet, she was here to explore once more. For a better reason, of course.

"I'm curious, you've mentioned that you wanted to join ANTHEM. And yet..." She looked towards the new recruit and smiled slightly. "Well, I must say that you don't look the part to do so." Most of her members now were either closely tied to Japan, or the entertainment industry. This person was certainly not Japanese. Nor was she acquainted with his works as either an artist or an entertainer.

Hikari turned her attention towards the portal which stood just a few meters in front of them. They were far enough to not be noticed yet, but close enough to see what was happening. There were, in no better words, ghosts. Ghosts that flitted about, uncaringly.

"In any case, it seems like our mission is about to begin." Hikari pointed towards the gate and smiled. She had done prior. Though during that time, this mission was just a bit harder than how it is now for her. "I'm hoping you're not afraid of ghosts?"

A light was pulsing within the portal as she spied the remnants of wisps entangled through its seams. It seems that a spirit or two have run amock, and now this portal was becoming a never-ending bridge for them. Perhaps there was a spirit within that was keeping this portal open. There was only one way to find out.

It was finally time for Nikolaos to do his first mission. After all, he needed more points if he wanted his shop to be even more successful than it already was. While he could have of course waited for his shop to make him more money than his class the rate at which it currently did so was slower than he would have liked. The solution to this problem was to simply do missions for extra points. The only problem with this was the fact he lacked any means of combat ability himself. As such to fix this problem Niko sought out the ANTHEM guild in an attempt to gain membership as well as help with completing a mission. The first part was still up in the air however the help with a mission was accepted by none other than the guild leader herself. Who seemed to have some questions on why he wished to join the guild.
"It's true I don't fit the norm for members of your guild. My reason for joining however is still quite simple. I want the protection and benefit of being able to complete missions that the guild can offer as for what I can grant there isn't much as of right now outside of small discounts on my wares every once in and awhile." Nikolaos' own gaze would then turn towards the portal to the astral realm. While it currently was strange to see an actual ghost the blonde-haired man was starting to get used to the strange sights of this new world he found himself in. "No I'm not afraid of ghosts. However, if we have to fight them I'm afraid I won't be much use as my class lacks any combat abilities."

Hikari truly found this man's class interesting. The capability of their class is less about their combat ability, and more concerned about the System's RNG. To create Mystery Boxes was definitely unique, and adding in the fact that he could also give discounts? That was something to be cherished and coveted.

"You have ANTHEM's full support when it comes to levelling, so long as you also provide the guild with access to your class." Hikari smiled, seeing a good deal that was about to be made. "Of course, ANTHEM will also make sure to fund your business to more than just the store that you have. Once Neo-Tokyo has been recaptured, I want you to head the revival of our business district. Make Neo-Tokyo the centre of economic growth, and ANTHEM will be your main shareholder and investor."

The man should know that this was a good business deal. Hikari learned from her father, after all. She had the resources, and he had the skills. A partnership of this sort will only benefit both of them.

"But for now, we should look towards finishing this mission." She pointed towards the portal and smiled. "Help me by being my eyes. Call out ghosts that try to attack us from behind, and I'll make sure they are all dealt with." Hikari did not need a combat partner in this case. No, what she needed was for this man to join her guild.
