[attr="class","inner"]         With a giant leap as his sneakers lose their glow, Tristan barely makes it through the falling structure before transitioning into a roll. In one smooth motion he continues into a sprint again, recovering the speed that had been barely lost.

         The sound of wood cracking and breaking precedes the massive clouds of dust that float up into the surrounding air. The debris surely was tall enough to obstruct their pursuer - but that was an understanding that he had come to by common sense. Common sense does not work anymore. He is now left of and slightly behind Orvis’ and Grumble’s trajectory, sending a nod in their direction as if signaling to maintain their speed.

         The sky is pitch black now aside from the erratically flickering lights behind them. The moon hasn’t risen enough for it to illuminate the gates of the amusement park clearly, but it is enough to see where to run. The noise behind them - wood being moved and brushed against each other, like a child moving their toys around, gives Tristan a reality check. The clown could get loose any moment. If anything, it only provides more motivation for him to leave this dreadful place.

         He reaches the gate and vaults over the turnstile he used on his way in, sparing one look back at the monster; it seems to have slowed down. It had not quietened down, though - its screech echoes even outside the park, resonating through his whole body. Maybe this was its territory, and some force was keeping it in there. Who knows what could happen though, if it was left to fester. But at that point, he feels it would be better to leave it out of his own hands and let someone more experienced take the reins. Unless the system had other plans, of course.

He checks if Orvis makes it through as well. “Didn’t turn out too great, did it?” he asks him, noticing the injuries on his mount’s body. Rather than the lighthearted remark he intended, it may have instead come off as accusatory: he’s always had this habit of saying things are they are.
