Once more, she was here in this motor city. Hikari was not one to obsess over cars, though she did enjoy her family's collection of supercars. However, what she had now was less than a super car. Well, it drove like one, but it certainly did not have the same style and design.

The mission she encountered seemed interested, though. She looked at the message, and nodded to herself. Quickly maneuvering her mini cooper towards the starting zone, she pressed the pedal to give herself a small boost. The cooper took it in stride, especially since this vehicle seemed to work with her own stats.

Pulling ahead of the rest of the folks gathering, Hikari took a spot closer to the starting line. She maneuvered her way past the more amateurish drivers, having learned from the best of the best. After all, having a small fleet of supercars meant that she needed to be able to drive them safely ad responsibly. As responsibly as a wealthy heiress could, at least. As she put herself into gear, she turned and found herself staring at a familiar face once more. How welcome this was, she just was not sure just yet.

This place.... was noisy... but strangely enough it was a noise that Rojin didn't mind hearing, the sound of the engines, the roar of them as they revved, he actually didn't mind that.. likely cause it drowned out the sound of the annoying people that were there, and Rojin without even thinking about it had taken one of the free cars on offer on joined the race, a smirk on his face as he rolled to the line, something was kicking in the back of his mind, a fragment of a memory and being in this vehicle was causing it to flare up. And like all the others it was a pleasant one. He looked at the other races and then he seen her and he raised an eyebrow a moment before nodding the smile slitting his lips apart growing as he revved the engine, he knew already he wouldn't be going to fast... but he could fix that.. he reached into his forehead and took a=out a handful of those golden glowing Parchments and burned them suddenly as he felt the power from them flow into his body, oh he was sure he wouldn't be the fastest, but at least he could make a run of it, at least he hoped so Hikari |

"It is good to see you alive." She nodded towards the old man, though she was unsure whether he should be on this track. Racing was something that was incredibly difficult, and the chances of crashing are sky-high. Hikari felt that this was especially so with this track, and what they will be facing. However, she kept herself quiet about those thoughts. After all, the old man decided to do this, and so should know the risks.

Hikari turned her attention towards the lights. They began flashing consecutively, meaning that the race was about to begin. She smiled, and revved her engine. She could feel her own stats influencing her vehicle, as though it were linked to her own system. That was, at least, a godsend. It meant that she could go fast. Very fast.

"I plan on winning this, though if you need help, you only need to ask." Hikari once more nodded to the old man. She would not see someone die if she can help it. Well, at least those that she knew. "I can't promise much, but I'll do my best depending ont he situation." She would not sacrifice her win, if it came to that, but she would keep an eye out for the old man.

Red, orange, green! They were off! Hikari immediately punched through a gap, and took the lead. Their first challenge? A fiery desert.

The old man smirked "I ain't gonna die any time soon if I have anything to say about it" being behind the wheel seemed to put him in a more agreeable mood as for once he didn't start with the harsh words, and as the lights began blinking he revved the engine though the engine got a bit quieter as he did so as he felt it sync with him and he frowned a bit then he looked at the mission info and the additional information, the vehicle was linked to his stats? So it wouldn't go to fast since his one stat was low, but he looked at the screen a bit and narrowed his eyes, NOW the annoyance grew, he felt oddly cheated, like he couldn't cut loose like he felt he really wanted to. Then he heard the Lady call out she was Planning to win this race, he looked out the window at her "You Better be aiming to win otherwise get off the Damned track don't want someone here who ain't trying to do their best ya hear me?!" he yelled over to her before looking back at the mission info and grumbling then he heard her offer her help "You Worry about yourself young one, I got my own tricks just you see" he said waving off her concern. as he stared at the mission window a bit more, and glared at that annoying addendum. Then as the Lights started changing Rojin reached into the Mission window and rather then his hand going through, his hand started to glow that golden color as it seemed to Enter the window "Goes off my speed? No I couldn't have read that right... Speed is determined by MAGI... that's what I remember reading" he smirked as a pulse of golden energy went through his arm and into the screen the words scrambling for a moment before resetting to how he remembered reading them and he removed his hand "There... that looks right" he gave a bit of a chuckle and then looked to the light and revved the engine and once more it sounded powerful once more. Then as the Lights set the race in motion and Rojin suddenly as he gripped the wheel and floored the pedal the radio in his vehicle sputtered to life and he started to laugh as he suddenly raced off the start line, speeding just after Hikari, turning the wheel and getting around a larger vehicle coming up from behind which tried to then tried to slam him, but the old man smirked as he reached out his window and flicked at the vehicles tires popping one and sending it off to the side as it suddenly dug into the ground and straight into a dune "Learn to Dive KID!" the old man laughed as he pushed the pedal once more and raced after the woman in first. The Music didn't even bother him oddly enough, it to like the vehicle he was in, sparked a shard of memory a good shard, and it made him feel.. better. just like silence did, maybe it was the fact that the engines blotted out any other sounds so in it's own way it kept him from having to hear others? Or maybe it was because while he was focused on driving, his mind didn't try to wander to where he didn't want it to go? Driving through the desert was a chore. More so, it was difficult and very dangerous. The heat made the rubber on her wheels slowly melt, though hers has been keeping up based on her speed. With how she drove, she made sure to fly through curves and hills, taking as much air time as possible. That way, her wheels were not constantly in contact with the very hot desert floor.

"Oh, of course..." Hikari sighed as she made the turn, and saw a sand wurm come up from the sand dunes. It reared its head and growled. She took the longer turn, still in the lead, before holding out her fan with one hand, and swiping it forwards.

The angle she had Shotsuren was the opposite of where she was going. It made sure that the sand wurm was distracted, and facing the other direction as she zipped through towards the exit. It was just unfortunate that the sand wurm was now facing a large group of racers. "Oops..."

She held out her hand, and Shotsuren flew towards her as she made her way towards the exit. The sand wurm was causing so much destruction behind her that she doubted she would see even half of the racers in the second section of this race, which is...the north pole?

Rojin made sure to go as fast as possible going from shade to shade where he could, and tailing some other racers to keep the tires cool in the shadow of their vehicles, not that he went unnoticed, and he ended up having to give up his spots, but that was okay it just meant that he could over take them later on in the race after all this was just the beginning. and then a massive sandworm appeared and he watched Hikari point the creature to look at the large group of Races that had pulled out ahead of Rojin and the old man laughed a bit as he turned hard to go around the unseen side of the worm getting around it and following after into the new realm. Snow and ice was all over the place and he smirked as his tires skidded but he popped the vehicle into a lower gear, and while he lost speed and was overtaken by a few racers, the ones that did so didn't change gear to handle the slippery conditions and they ended up going out of control while Rojin in a lower gear was able to get good control and continue along the track... track.. wait this wasn't a track and he realized the issue before it began, the assumed roadway was actually a giant float of ice and it was starting to crack as more racers made it into the zone. "Well... maybe a bit to many followers..." he said with a smirk as he opened the drivers side door and raised his hand high before bringing it down to strike the ice hard making it crack he then smashed it again before closing his door once more as now it was cracking faster and the old man laughed loudly as the music blared louder as he hit the gas and started to go even faster now that he hit a more controllable section. and ahead he could see the gate to the new area that would take them to a dense forest, he just had to get there before this Ice road shattered completely. The icy paths were, for the most part, unmanageable. Hikari had driven in snow and ice before, having been to Hokkaido and having driven through its streets in the middle of winter made her somewhat of a decent winter driver. And yet, this was a whole other level. She kept her wheel straight and kept herself at a quick but even pace. She hovered her foot over the brake pedal just in case.

And then, the ice beneath her started to crack. She glanced backward and realized that the old man had done something. Whatever it was, it was shattering this whole ice shelf. Hikari shook her head, "Crazy old man..." and quickly took her pace even faster. The old man was surely going to catch up soon if she didn't pick up the pace.

That was the a system message popped up. Refuel? She glanced upwards and onwards towards the lush forest just beyond her reach and realized that a pit stop was sitting just after the threshold. It seems like the system was ready for this, anticipating that most would need to refuel or whatever.

She made her way, and stopped at the first pod, ahead of everyone else. A crew materialized out of nowhere and immediately started working on her mini cooper. The wheels were changed to something more rugged, fit for the new terrain. While another started "filling" up her gas tank. She wasn't sure how because there was no fuel latch to begin with. She turned back towards the ice-zone and realized that the ice shelf had broken, and at least half of the drivers had fallen into the abyss. Hikari chuckled at that, before getting herself ready to continue once more.

Rojin smirked as he seen the people plummet into the depths as he made his way to the next section, seeing Hikari having stopped he did the same, new tires were needed but he didn't stay long, the Properties of the Motor city races meant that while they did refuel they were still on the move and Rojin smirked as he looked over to Hikari. the Refuling process caused them to go slower for a long period of time, well Rojin wasn't about to let that happen as a golden pulse of energy came off him and into his vehicle once more making it go off his MAGI rather then his SPD and then he chuckled as he sacrificed a bit of his WIL to refuel. The slowdown annoyed Rojin but he kept rolling as he looked over to HIkari as he did so. since he had little to nothing he could do to affect any change on this situation Hikari |

The slowness of her vehicle started to disappear, and she quickly gained her original speed once again. She felt her WIL stat going down, seeing herself gaining the debuff as she had been slowing down to change her tires. It was a good trade-off, however. BEcause now, she was back in motion.

In the end, she got through a bough of hanging leaves, only to zoom through a platform. This platform, a wide expanse in front of her, was a one-way path towards the exit. The problem was, this was a rainbow. And the rainbow was hanging in the sky, where high winds were trying to push her. She held on, however, and kept herself steady as she aimed for the exit.

Rojin continued to go through the forest rapidly, faster then most thanks to his little trick with the loss of his stats, and so as he continued on he did notice Hikari catching up and he smirked a bit as she took a high road while he took a lower one, but he didn't slow down, the mud wasn't an issue as he went around in the rough ground it did slow him a bit but not as much as the mud would and so he managed to keep a good speed going. But still the race was continuing as he seen the coming path and realized it was just a curtain of leaves and he pushed on. As he got through the curtain he looked around, they were in the sky now, and he could See Hikari up on a different road and by the looks of things his own road would go up and end above the one Hikari was on and the old man laughed as he floored it and raced up the road till he got to the edge of the road where it terminated above the main road Hikari was on, and without even a care he raced right off the road, a few people following him hit the breaks while ROjins Vehicle flew through the air and came down towards Hikari. Seeing he was about to land on the girl Rojin thought about it a moment and then threw himself against the passenger side door causing the vehicle to lurch in the air, he then got back to the wheel as his vehicle landed near Hikari rather then on her, and he laughed once more as the music blared as he hit the floor with the pedal flooring it fully as he continued to race along. Looking up, Hikari realized where the noises were coming from. The road she was on was not the only one in existence. In fact, there was another road above her, and it ended just as the rainbow road in front of her started to plane out. She momentarily saw a car making its way down at her, and she made sure to keep going forward. She was almost sure she could out-pace the car that was racing towards her. And if not, well, that was just tough luck.

As the road started climbing once more, Hikari turned her attention to the driver that was now close to her. She realized that it was Rojin. So it seems that he had survived, which was always good. She would have been rather remiss by his death, if that were possible during this mission. Though, from what she had read, "death" during this race might not be permanent at all.

Taking the steep climb quick and easy. she ascended through the black expanse with as much as speed as can be afforded by her vehicle. Her speed was now even quicker, her buff was still active, and the refueling debuff having been long shed. he floored her accelerator, zooming through towards the finish line.

Rojin continued to race hard though looking back he could see several other racers catching up and he moved his arm out of the window and started to flick at them, the unseen attacks would hit their marks each one popping a tire or doing damage to the vehicles, and the old man snickered as the racers behind had no clue what was attacking them, and blamed those closer to them rather then the old man and Rojin started to outright laugh as he seen them starting to make larger attacks at each other, slowing the whole group down as attacks flew left and right. It was very pleasant to see but he needed to finish the race, and as he motored on he finally took notice of something, he was in a party with Hikari.. well that meant this was a team race and he didn't have to push so hard, so with that in mind he floored it anyway any job worth doing was worth doing right after all and he was going to make damned sure that even if he didn't get first, they would get the top two spots, even if Hikari was faster the old man made sure to make up for his lack of speed by simply messing with the other racers anyway. as they got up a steep climb of a hill Hikari did slowly pull ahead, and as they hit the final leg Rojin looked back to see the group of racers coming over the hill and they seemed to have decided it was one of them that attacked... well he couldn't have that, so he flicked again aiming for a person in the middle of the group and once again fighting broke out, but only a few took part, some seemed to have wised up, but it was far to late for them to do anything about it as Hikari and then Rojin crossed the finish line.
