This was...an unusual request to say the least.

He had not thought that one of the missions in this place is to head up the Eiffel Tower and to enjoy the view offered by the magnificent structure. Well, he was not one to complain, especially when it gave him official reason to enjoy a day in Paris. He felt as if these past few weeks had been spent too much in battlefields. He needed a breath of fresh air.

He strode towards the magnificent structure, star-struck by both its architechture and its history. He felt the historian within him shiver in delight. There was no time like the present!

His first few steps took him towards the elevator. It seems to be working, and is a marvel in and of itself. He waved towards the attendant, before stepping in, after showing them the mission in which he had been tasked to do. One step, and another, it brought him closer and closer to one of the marvels of the inductrial age, the Eiffel Tower elevator system!

"Woah!" He whispered to himself as the elevator started its motions. From what he could see, the Eiffel Tower was either maintained well during the event that caused all of this madness, or perhaps the "system" recreated and restored this monument to its most pristine condition. Every single system within worked like a charm, and he could neither here a squeek, nor a whine.

He turned towards the view, and marvelled his ascent. The skylines of the city of Paris made for a beautiful back drop. From his vantage point, he saw just how the city itself sprawled from the cetrepoint, a testament to the historical expansion of industrial wonder known as the metropolis. Through these winding streets, one can see how the city expanded and grew as the industrial age took hold of the world by storm!

Mikael kept his eyes forward, though he couldn't help but tap his fingers on the rail. While the trip to the top was something he was looking forward to, he was more interested in the history this structure had in store within. Immediately, he turned to the attendant and started asking questions.

The attendant was charming, polite, and very accomodating. They made sure to answer Mikael's every question, though the man was sure that the attendant must have been starting to get annoyed with his incessant "whys". It just so happens that the elevator dinged, and they were now at the top of the structure!

What he saw as he door opened truly marveled the man.

The view from the top of the world, as he would like to describe it, was both exhilirating, and daunting. Mikael found himself truly seeing Paris for the first time. It was one thing to see Paris through the streets, and another to see it from above. The view from the elevator did not do the city justice.

To a historian, however, he found himself interested in the landmarks he could see from this vantage point. There were many places he wished to visit to be sure, but this way, he could see the structures from above, and well as how each structure was designed. He smiled as he started jotting down notes in his small notebook, making sure to sketch the things he found to be most interesting, and keeping track of the various streets he would like to explore.

An offer for a luncheon was declined by Kael, instead focusing on his own musings. He would not stop until he had every single detail he had wanted jotted down. As he finished the last sketch, he smiled to himself, realizing that his right hand was now very sore. Shaking it off, he turned around towards the elevator.

Today had been a good day. Now, where was he supposed to go for his rewards...
