Jeanne had been slowly reading her way throught the actual contents of the system message when she found herself plopped down on the floor of the cobbled streets of paris directly below the eiffel tower. She had been sitting on the floor in the bookstore and distractedly shoed the message as soon as she smelled the familiar air and looked around. Taken aback more then anything, looking around she would spot Kitty and wave slowly. The normally incredibly excitable girl docile to some degree as she took in the world she had been moved to.

"I didn't... Kitty what's going on? Is this really Paris?" Jeanne would ask out loud, not sure if the woman would be any les stunned. The young girl starting to tear up from the sudden motion of herself back to the home she had been thinking was gone for over a year.[break]

Kitty had been doing inventory in her shop when the event had been announced, followed by the message alerting them of their involvement. "No thank you. Not interested." She looked for a way to close the floating prompt, frowning as she began to realize there wasn't one.

A moment later, she was standing on the street, holding a book in one hand. Glancing around, she didn't recognize these streets from Unison Central. The Eiffel Tower jutting above the top of the nearest building was enough to confirm she really had been picked up and dropped in Paris without any further warning.

Turning a corner that put her closer to the Tower itself, she spotted Jeanne-Marie, who waved a bit less excitedly than she would've expected. Seeing the tears welling up in the little girl's eyes, she hurried over. Looking at the book in her hand, before stowing it in her inventory, replacing it with a handkerchief she quickly handed to the child after bending down a bit closer to her.

"It seems that way, Jeanne-Marie. Hey. Don't cry, please. It looks like everything here is back to normal." Kitty glanced around, already spotting other people flying overhead, or jumping and climbing over buildings to get to the Tower in the distance. "...more or less."

The girl was near immediately cleaning tears as she processed the world around them. It was really France, it was really her home. She was so gosh darn happy, yet she was shocked by the sudden transport. If Kitty had not come along for the ride as well, Jeanne likely would have gone crazy. But with her trusty number two the girl got herself together pretty quickly.

"Kitty, does this mean we can do the event? *sniff* Or we have to? Can we keep Paris open if we do the event?" Jeanne would ask quietly, having calmed down from the initial reaction she had had. Even if Kitty didn't want to, Jeanne's brain was rattling over her own thoughts on the event, but the big thing was whether or not Paris would stay. Could they keep a zone open in the world if they did the event?

Jeanne wanted to test and figure that out. Looking to Kitty she would end up following her gaze to all the newly moving folk and see an arrow ahead, perhaps she was the only one that saw it, but it compelled her to move, "Kitty lets go check out where the arrow leads, it might be a clue to the system message!" Jeanne was already back up and running at her normal cheerful speed.[break]

Kitty rubbed the poor child's head, as she sniffled her way through the initial shock and surprise. And then quickly recovered, which was very like her. She couldn't help but smile. "I suppose we must. That's what we've been...recruited for." The shopkeeper stood and took the girl's hand to keep Jeanne-Marie from just running off immediately.

Taking in the area as well, she poked at the air for a few moments until she was able to make that initial message reappear, eyes flickering behind her glasses as she read it quickly. "Hmm, yes, I suppose we have been..." She trailed off. "Also, the Guild menu is prompting me about a property here..."

With the arrow pointed out, she could compare it to the message on her screen. Both seemed to be pointing her to the same location. With a shrug, she dismissed the system screen and held on tight to that hand as Jeanne-Marie led her off.
