As night descended upon the area, Tommy felt it was the perfect time to start his investigation. He approached Deedee, seeking her assistance in uncovering the mysterious happenings in the vicinity. There was a faint humming sound in the background that seemed to be the focal point of the investigation. While challenging to detect amidst all the ambient noise, Tommy refused to ignore it, convinced that it held some significance.

"It's time, do you hear that?" Tommy asked, drawing Deedee's attention to the subtle humming sound. Together, they tuned out the background noise, focusing on the mysterious vibration.

"Follow me," Tommy instructed, leading the way to the heart of the crop farm where the sound seemed to be emanating from. As they moved closer, they came across a group of cows, but one of them stood out distinctly. It was larger than the others, adorned with green and white spots, and had eyes that glistened with a peculiar intelligence.

Tommy's curiosity peaked as he observed the unusual cow. Was this creature somehow connected to the mysterious happenings in the area?

"Some sort of super cow?"

In an unexpected twist, the once placid cow began to defy gravity, its eyes emitting an eerie green glow. The surrounding bovine herd ceased their grazing, fixating on this bizarre spectacle. Their behavior morphed into that of mind-controlled creatures, akin to cow zombies, as they charged relentlessly towards Enigma and DeeDee, their intent seemingly to headbutt the duo. Meanwhile, the levitating cow observed the scene, an ominous presence overseeing the chaos.



"How dare you disrupt the sacred mooing?" boomed a voice, seemingly emanating from the floating cow itself. "Such sacrilege warrants banishment to the glacatical pen."


Amidst the chaos, Enigma's curiosity intensified, fueling a desire to uncover the truth behind the floating cow's mysterious powers. But in that moment, their immediate survival became the paramount concern, as they navigated the onslaught of mind-controlled cows with nimble agility.

"This is probably the strangest thing that's happened to me. "

With agility and quick thinking, Enigma skillfully evaded the charging cows, all the while communicating with DeeDee through an unspoken understanding. He shook his head at her, signaling that engaging in a fight with the mind-controlled cows would be counterproductive and potentially dangerous. The primary objective was to investigate the cause of the crop circles, not to provoke unnecessary conflict.

"Unless you want to collect a bunch of cowhides, I think the collateral damage isn't worth it," Enigma whispered to DeeDee, his voice carrying a tone of caution. "The request was to find out the cause of the crop circles, which seems to be the result of this creature being here after it does whatever it's doing to these cows. It never said anything about picking a fight with the source."

Enigma knew the importance of staying focused on their mission. While he possessed the abilities to take on the enigmatic creature and possibly triumph with DeeDee's assistance, he chose not to rush into battle recklessly. Following the investigation dialogue precisely was imperative to understanding the full scope of the situation.

"We got what we needed, fall back!" he proclaimed with a sense of urgency, knowing that lingering longer could lead to unnecessary complications. With that, he sprang into action by grabbing DeeDee and dashing back in the direction of the open fields, his speed reaching an impressive 25 meters per second. His agility allowed him to swiftly navigate through the dense crop field, ensuring that they put enough distance between themselves and the peculiar scene they had just witnessed.

Surprisingly, the mind-controlled cows did not pursue them beyond a certain point. Once Enigma and DeeDee had reached a safe distance, the herd returned to a state of apparent tranquility, as if their previous frenzied behavior had never occurred. They resumed their grazing, seemingly unaffected by the presence of the enigmatic creature that still hovered above them. It then slowly started to glow a lighter green before vanishing, with the blast of light leaving a symbol on the crops and creating a crop circle.

"Sorry for picking you up, but I was faster and had the strength to pick up a small person."

"For the most part, my job involves reporting back to the person who requested my services. After completing my tasks, I reward myself with a shot of whiskey and a good night's rest. However, I couldn't help but think of the safety of others during our recent assignment. Perhaps it would be beneficial for you to update your guide with information regarding the danger of visiting cornfields during the time frame we experienced. Although we were able to evade danger, those who are more carefree and adventurous may not be so lucky. It would be a shame for anyone to get hurt while attempting to deal with that thing."


Despite the risks associated with his job, Tommy was always willing to take on any assignment. He knew that the consequences of his actions were his responsibility, just like the consequences of any warnings he may give to others.


"I would also like to thank you for your assistance. It was an interesting experience, to say the least."

"Alright then, I'll see you later."

Enigma said this while giving Deedee a pat on the shoulder before he left. She was a good kid, even though sometimes he felt as if she could be a bit naive and too trusting towards people. So far, the only hope that Enigma had for her was that there was nobody that was vile enough to come across her to betray her trust. Mentally, Enigma didn't know what that could do to her. As for Enigma, he's been betrayed before, so he wouldn't be surprised. So far, his strategy was for him to be cunning enough to get through the situation and think about revenge some other time.

"Hopefully you pace yourself and take breaks sometimes. "

After that, Enigma vanished, activating his invisibility.
