Going to the Door Dee Dee opened it and.... it wasn't the door to the pipe maintenance it was a closet and there was a massive slime in there Dee Dee stood there staring at it for half a second before she slammed the door closed "Okay small problem that Slime is bigger then I thought it would be...and second that door leads to the closet..." the quick little message she sent him said as she looked to her left and at the corner oft he little stairwell was the door leading to the pipe tunnels and she pointed at it "That should be the door to the tunnels.. but we kind of need to deal with the massive slime in here..." a second message said as she pulled out her Dagger and Sickle as the door was slammed against from the inside. Jumping back the large slime busted down the door and lashed out at Dee Dee with a Pseudopod, BombDee jumped up and power punched the large appendage knocking it to the side as Dee Dee took a swing with both weapons hitting the slime but not ending it, she then hopped back, normally she would have Kramer follow up with a breath attack but they couldn't do that in here, so instead she threw one of her daggers at it "Back up we need to get back up the stairs to deal with the big one, then we can check the tunnels, the good news is likely we won't find any more large ones in the tunnels" the message she sent to Mikael said as she headed back up the stairs to the main basement. When she got up there she turned around to keep her eyes on the large slime, BombDee, Kramer, and Jimmy all doing the same as Dee Dee got ready to fight the large creature, it was still a slime granted, and it would be slow, but the size in this confined place did make it an issue. He knew that she had better handling of this, which is very important since she knew how to deal with things like this better. She had the experience, after all. But as they proceeded forward, and she opened the door, Kael found himself staring at the sight. Was that a giant slime? What? That could happen? [break][break] Without another word, Kael immediately followed Dee Dee's directions. However, when they got up the stairs, Kael found himself wanting to do something to help. So, instead of standing back and letting Dee Dee handle things, he stood his ground at the top of the staircase, though towards the side so that Dee Dee gets a clear shot.[break][break] "Okay! Let me engage it first, distracting it so that you can get a clean hit with your summons!" Kael grinned, giving Dee Dee a thumbs up. "I don't want you doing all the work. Let's this tank do its job." He hoped she would trust him in this. Because, if he were being honest, he kind of only trusted himself just a little bit.[break][break] The slime slowly made its way up, and as it reached the top, Kael roared out loud and gave it a strong punch. Its body flopped a little, showing signs of hurt, but nothing else. It turned its attention towards Kael, providing a good view and angle for Dee Dee and her summons to do their thing. [break] |

Dee Dee was sure they could all handle the large slime, it was still a slime despite it's large size, however the confines of a stairwell were not the place to do it, that would give an advantage to the larger amorphous creature so as she got to the top of the stairs and moved away she looked over and Seen Mikael standing his ground at the top of the stairs, at least nearer to them then she was, he mentioned he was a tank class and he was new so this was likely needed for him to figure things out, worst comes to worst she had healing abilities and items so she gave him a thumbs up and she and her friends got in position. The large slime moved up the stairs, not slowed by them at all as it just seemed to flow over them, but it was a large slow creature in it's own right, the issue was the amount of sheer mass it had as it finally got up to them and it received a blow before striking out at the one that hit it, that being Mikael, several pseudopods lashing out at him. Dee Dee seen her moment to strike and though she moved quickly the massive Slime was still getting it's attacks out as she cut off one of the Pseudopods with her Sickle, while BombDee smacked the thing with a power punch and Kramer followed suit with a swat from his claws, though still it wasn't enough, though it clearly did damage, but to avoid the coming retaliation they backed off, leaving the front line to their tank Mikael. "Just be careful, it might try to engulf you" Dee Dee sent the message to Mikael as she backed off again to get ready to go in again. Mikael |

[attr="class","kaelreescroll"] Mission Link[break][break] Kael knew that the fight wasn't going to be easy. He realized too late that this might not be the best idea at all. Not, certainly not. He had also realized, too late, that he was indeed merely level one. How could he have thought that he could tank such a creature, he didn't know. Over-excitedness, surely. But he has dug his own grave, and he would not lie in it if he could help it. No, he was determined to survive this encounter. It would, after all, only make him stronger! At least, that was his hope...[break][break] As he took another blow from the slime, he felt himself weakening. This was certainly worse than the demonic chicken, and he was sure it wasn't going to get better any time soon. He could feel Dee Dee and her summons doing their work, the backlash of their attacks were felt even while he was standing apart from them. Yet, it wasn;t enough to bring down the slime. Truthfully, he was slowly giving up. But Kael never truly gave up on something. He was the most stubborn man one might meet.[break][break] "Argh!" Kael grunted as he side-stepped a hit from the slime, before giving it another punch. Just as he was retracting his hand, he felt the slime try to grab ahold of him, to no avail. He then spied on the message sent to him by Dee Dee, before his heart rate pulsed even quicker. "What? It can engulf me?" He asked out loud, no scooching back just a little, though still maintaining eye-contacting with the slime. "What'll happen if it engulfs me? Oh no, let's kill this quick!" Kael nervously rambled, before taking a stance, readying himself for another punch. No way he was going to die by slime, not today, not ever! [break] |

Seeing Mikael was tiring Dee Dee shot a little star out of her hand at him, and he was wrapped in a healing aura, they needed to end this quick, so she put her dagger away and pulled out a massive hammer that was easily larger then her, and she activated it's feature, her body shining red as she lifted it the massive weapon and lunged forward bringing the heavy weight weapon down on the slime and easily squishing a part of it, but the Slime retaliated, and Dee Dee was knocked back. Getting back to her Feet Dee Dee summoned Jimmy behind her to get the needed stat increase from her passive she hadn't expected this to be so tough but she thankfully it was only due to not expecting this lime, then BombDee, Kramer, and Dee Dee rushed in aiming landing their attacks at the same time as Mikael's second punch, the hammer landing with a heavy thud as BombDee landed a power punch and Kramer Swatted the side of the Slime. leaving the last blow to Mikael as the slime was on it's last leg. And slowly by surely, he found his aches ebbing away slowly but surely. He wasn't sure what was happening, but it certainly felt like he was being healed. He shot a quick glance at Dee Dee, before giving his an eye smile. Of course it was her, who else could it be! The woman certainly had a lot of surprises under her sleeves, to be sure! [break][break] The hammer hit that he saw from his peripheral vision gave him all the courage he needed. Without even thinking too much, he pushed the giant slime backwards, providing himself a small space with which he can spare himself a moment to ready up. Knees bent forward, he rushed forward with a small momentum, his fist impacting the slime for one final time. [break][break] The giant slime fed backwards slowly, before capitulating to gravity as it wobbled down onto the staircase in which it came through. Even before hitting the lower floor, it would disappear into nothingness.[break][break] "That was amazing! Your repertoire seems to be very diverse, Dee Dee!" He was, of course, speaking to not only her ability to use summons, but to also have healing skills. "I didn't think we'd see such a large slime though. Is that normal?" HE scratched his chin for a moment, before continuing, "Shall we continue then?"[break] |

Dee Dee watched as the slime fell, and she put the hammer down and took a breath, well that was over with, and she looked at the mission details, it seemed there was only one slime left, thinking about it.. she looked back to where the giant slime had disappeared, apparently it counted as multiple... maybe the slimes had joined together to form it to start making this into a proper den? Meaning they had come at just the right time, that would mean it was turning into some kind of Slime spawner? She would have to make a note of this in her Beginners blog later. Looking to her Partner Mikael she gave him a thumbs up and then sent him a message "you can get more skills from the mystery boxes in the System shop, as well as items from there as well but it's like any gatcha game or loot box if you ever played those kind of games before the Flash, you can also by new abilities from the shop though the system seems to decide what they are when you purchase them" she then looked at the door leading down as she sent that message and followed it up with another. "the mission details says there is only one slime left.. I think that big one was a bunch of slimes joined together probably just starting to make a slime spawner or something to turn this place into a proper den.. means we got here just in time to stop that from happening" as she sent the message she seen the smallest slime ever wriggle it's way out from under the door that lead to the pipe tunnels, she walked over to it and it seemed to start shaking, it clearly wasn't a threat and so she gently picked it up and very gently pet it and it seemed to bubble, well it seemed to be non-hostile as it wasn't burning through her gloves, but just in case she gently poked it with her ungloved hand and nothing still, up it was docile. "I don't think we need to kill the little guy, lets just take him out of here, we already know that it counts them leaving the area as removing them anyway! But don't get used to this, not a lot of creatures will be amicable like this, some of the slimes just understand that it's better to run.. funny enough most monsters don't think about this option, but when they do depending on how much of a danger they are you have to make a call.. at the moment? this little guy won't be hurting anyway for a long time... at this size I think they are actually helpful in getting rid of garden pests actually" she sent the message to Mikael as she started walking to the exit, the mission info had only one more slime marked for removal and it was happily bubbling away in her hand slowly consuming the small Cherry Tomato she had given it. He opened the message, reading it carefully before nodding slowly. It was a surprise for him that he could access these "Mystery Boxes". It seems like it's something that can be very good, and yet, perhaps it can also give him nothing, which would be horrible indeed. Perhaps he'll have to try one out at the very least, before saying no to it altogether.[break][break] "I see..." Kael paused a moment, "I'm not much of a gambler myself, but it certainly can be worth the shot! I might try to get one, perhaps after I level up? I think I saw somewhere that I can get a mystery thing when I level up." Kael scratched his head, before noticing what Dee Dee had noticed. A small slime.[break][break] He watched and read the message that Dee Dee sent him. He was not against not killing the slime. Far from it, if it doesn't mean harm, then it should be alright. Kael was never one to be aggressive, which is maybe why his class was a tank, instead of something that does a lot of damage. His punches don't count, of course. At least, that's what he would like to think.[break][break] "I trust your judgement, Dee Dee." He smiled at the woman, before slowly following her. "You seem to know quite a bit! I'll definitely read your book to learn more about this world."
