Enigma exercised caution, choosing not to rush into battle immediately to avoid making mistakes and minimize casualties. As he explored the Broadway building, he remained vigilant, observing the various transformed individuals, including those who seemed mentally afflicted. His intention was to distinguish between those who could potentially be saved and those who had been irrevocably transformed. After thorough searching, Enigma's gut feeling guided him towards a concealed section of the wall. His instincts proved correct, as he discovered the source of the music—a monstrous entity that resembled a record player emitting a malevolent tune. The device pulsed with a dark, purple energy, and Enigma's determination surged within him. "This must be the place," he muttered grimly. In a swift motion, Enigma's Dragonforce emerged, dealing a devastating A+ level attack at remarkable speed, shattering the malevolent music player. The impact was immense, causing a powerful shift in the situation. The affected individuals began to regain their senses, fleeing from the transformed creatures in terror. "Alright, we can identify who can be saved and who can't. Now it's time for the cleanup," Enigma declared, prepared to deal with the remaining transformed creatures and restore safety to the Broadway building.
shadow dwelling dragonoid: - Enchanted
Shadow fuels the mind, clay creatures the body, and the dragon bones have given soul to this creature. Magic has been breathed into it by the flames of the forge. You can summon forth an armored humanoid shadow with dragon features. It has wings, claws, and rows of ivory teeth. It can rest inside your shadows like it would an inventory. This creature has a mind of its own and will attack you if your base [WIL] stat drops below 60% in a thread. However, the upside is that once per post this creature can deal damage equal to your [MAGI]. This creature can stretch its body up to 15 feet away in diameter. The creature has a durability equal to [DEF] -1 rank, and a stat [VIT] equal to your own. It moves at your [MAGI] stat in speed and can fly at your [MAGI] -1 rank.
Once every three posts this shadow can open its mouth, causing its teeth to part revealing something akin to a black hole, and can "eat" a ranged attack equal to its [MAGI] or lower. This attack can be held within it for up to three posts before being forcibly released at a target maintaining its effects. Within those three posts, the range attack can be launched back out. It can only hold up to 1 attack at a time. Three times per thread you can this creature up to 40 feet away from you to hide within someone’s shadow. When doing so you can hear and see what the shadow does but is unable to attack. When dwelling within shadows it is considered to have [stealth] equal to your [WIL] -1 rank. Once destroyed it can be resummoned from your shadow after 6 posts. Each time it is destroyed in a thread increases the cooldown time by an additional 3 posts. Due to the introduction to the Sinister Toxin, the Dragonoid has gained Nightmare Toxin. This toxin will cause those that the dragonoid harms to have a mental attack. The toxin takes two posts after the post the damage was dealt with before it takes effect. Once the two posts have passed, the toxin will cause the person afflicted to start seeing illusions of their greatest fear. This causes those who have lower [WIL] than the user's own to take a -20% to [SPD] for the following three posts.
gut feeling - A passive skill that allows you to use [WIL] as a full sensory ability. You will get a vague feeling, and the direction of someone whenever they are in stealth. Long as your [WIL] is higher than their stealth stat.

This coincided with the onset of the unfortunate events involving the zombies. Secondly, the zombies seemed to react to the music already playing in the Broadway building with tone-deaf sounds. Enigma suspected that the enemy might be melody-based, and proximity to the building triggered an attack if one's willpower stat was low enough. "That explains the numerous attacks on those who failed the willpower check," Enigma noted, recognizing the pattern of assaults. Lastly, Enigma found that the zombies were more active during the night than in the daytime, suggesting that infiltration and removal operations should be planned accordingly. "Looks like I have all the essential information I need," Enigma concluded, satisfied with the results of his three-day investigation. Being methodical in his approach was key to Enigma's survival in his line of work. With the crucial data in hand, his mission began—to locate and eliminate the source of the music that seemed to be controlling the zombies. Enigma gave Joey a knowing smile as they shook hands. "Enigma," he replied with a hint of mystery, deliberately leaving out his real name. "Zombies, you say? That does sound intriguing. Tell me more about the situation."
Joey proceeded to brief Enigma on the peculiar occurrences happening in New York City. Reports had surfaced of strange incidents where individuals were behaving erratically, exhibiting unnatural strength, and showing no signs of pain even after sustaining severe injuries. Eyewitnesses claimed that these individuals seemed to be in a trance-like state, and some had even referred to them as "zombies." This is due to the fact that over time, they ended up corrupted into monsters that the system acknowledges as enemies.
"We've ruled out any viral outbreaks or conventional explanations," Joey explained, his voice carrying a mix of urgency and concern. "It's almost as if someone is controlling them, like puppets on strings. We need you to investigate, get to the bottom of this, and neutralize any potential threats. Maybe some of them can be saved? But their minds deteriorated so much."
Enigma listened intently, his mind already working on possible scenarios and solutions. He was well-versed in handling supernatural anomalies, and this job seemed right up his alley. As an expert in discreetly infiltrating various organizations and gathering crucial information, he was confident in his abilities to uncover the truth behind the bizarre events.
"Consider it done," Enigma replied with unwavering determination. "But I need your full cooperation and access to all available resources. The more information I have, the better I can handle the situation." Joey nodded, appreciating Enigma's professionalism. "Of course, you'll have access to our databases, surveillance footage, and any assistance you require. The city is counting on you, Enigma."
With their plan set in motion, Enigma donned his invisibility cloak once more, ready to slip back into the shadows and begin his investigation. He knew he had to be cautious, as the enemy behind the zombie phenomenon might possess formidable powers of their own.

Enigma's cell phone ringing caught him by surprise. Few people had access to his direct SMS line, so any messages received on it were usually of significant importance. As he picked up the call and heard about a job in New York, Enigma's interest was piqued. Feeling more powerful than ever before, he was eager to take on challenges that had previously been beyond his capabilities. Invisible and undetected, he made his way into the building where the job awaited him.
"This might be interesting," Enigma mused to himself as he entered the entryway, remaining hidden from view.
Back in Joey's office, the general manager was still pondering his options when the door opened and closed. Assuming someone had made a wrong turn into his department, Joey looked down at his paperwork, only to be startled when Enigma suddenly appeared on the couch, deactivating his invisibility. "You called?"
Startled, Joey's heart raced as he gathered his composure. He quickly stood up and extended his hand for a handshake, which Enigma accepted. "I'm Joey Kansas, and we have a zombie problem that we believe you can help with."

"I'll definitely keep that in mind, but I can't make any promises," Tommy said, his eyes avoiding Dee's gaze. Memories of his troubled past still weighed heavily on his mind, but he refused to let them distract him from their mission. Tommy knew that everyone was responsible for their own lives, and he wasn't exactly a tanking class, nor did he see himself as one "Well, it seems like we're not going to have much luck finding any signs of the UFO during the daytime. At least not yet. I'll wait over there until the sun starts to set and then we can give it another try," Tommy explained before settling into a nearby corner and pulling his hat down to cover his face. He wasn't sure how long they would have to wait, but he knew that they couldn't start searching until the sun went down. As he waited, Tommy couldn't help but reflect on the events that led him to this point. He had never expected to find himself involved in a search for extraterrestrial life, but the possibility of discovering something truly incredible was too great to resist. Despite his reservations, Tommy couldn't deny the excitement he felt as he waited for the sun to set and their search to begin. If Dee-Dee were to leave while he was sleeping, Tommy wouldn't blame her. He knew that it was his obligation to continue the search, and he didn't expect anyone else to follow him on this journey. " Enigma remarked with a smile from under his mask, something you could tell with the tone of his voice. Maria was an amazing dancer, showcasing her talent in every move she made. The way she moved to the beat of the music made it seem like the song itself had taken on a life and possessed her in turn. This act spoke volumes about her, conveying her ability to get in the rhythm and be quick on her feet, which undoubtedly translated to her expertise on the battlefield as well. Enigma couldn't help but acknowledge Maria's exceptional skills, not just for the benefit it brought him in the long run, but also for the sheer joy of having a dance partner as talented as her. As they danced, the music changed, and the atmosphere around them transformed. The beat became faster, and the crowd grew more energetic. Enigma continued to dance with the same passion, and their moves became more intricate and daring. "At the very least, I won't exterminate the nest and make all of Jimmy's former friends extinct. He had learned to be cynical after a life-altering experience, but he hoped that Dee would never have to go through the same thing. Despite his outlook, he tried to maintain a mostly positive view of others, recognizing that they could provide things that he needed. It was a delicate balance, but it worked for them. As Dee talked about Jimmy, Tommy observed the creature with interest. "This might be a bit forward but the fire ants nest, is this a dungeon by chance? A hidden dungeon would be great if you could sell the information, this pet of yours should have no loyalty to that place, only to you. I'll buy it from you. " he suggested. Gently putting Jimmy down, Tommy turned back to Dee. " You know, we need these creatures for our experience points. You go out of your way to be non-combative when they don't want to fight, but once they start the fight, you should finish it. That's the only way to get stronger," he advised. Tommy had always been a firm believer in the idea that nothing comes for free. It was important to establish clear expectations and boundaries in any kind of exchange. "Huh, is this a new pet?" Tommy walked over to the small red ant or worm that Dee had brought in. He wasn't sure what kind of creature it was, or what its purpose could be. "I have to admit, your choice of creatures is always entertaining. I half expect you to show up with something dangerous, but you always manage to find something cute. Are you trying to establish some kind of brand or image?"
Dee's help was appreciated, though. Maybe the creature had some kind of special sense that could help them with their work. "I suppose it's possible that the creature's senses could be more attuned than mine." Tommy considered the possibilities, and began to formulate a plan for how they could incorporate the creature into their work. deedee

"A Gardener friend? So you found yourself doing a gathering quest then?" It was either a gathering quest that was given by another player, or an NPC. If it was the latter, then that means that talking to a person enough would generate a respective quest in regards to the background that was created for them. If it was the former, it also meant that Dee managed to create a good business relationship with other people to continue to grow her business. That much was good and Tommy would be happy for her in the sense that talking to other people and building connections was a way of survival. If Tommy had the resources and things of that nature, he would do the same as well.
"The reason why I'm here? Honestly, I can't say yet. I'm investigating a paranormal coincidence that seems to happen at night with these corn crops. When it gets darker, crop circles tend to be formed, but no one knows what these symbols mean or what else is the cause of it. It could be an easter egg that simply happened, or maybe something further. I honestly have no idea."

Tommy held on to his hat as he moved through the smaller stalks, making sure not to damage any of the crops. The wind was picking up, and he knew that soon the shape of the land would start to change. He had come to this field for a reason, but he wasn't quite sure what he was looking for. He decided to take a ground-side approach first, conserving his energy for when he would need to take to the skies. As he looked around, he spotted Dee Dee. "Hm? It's you," he said with surprise. "What are you doing here?" he asked, trying to mask his own confusion. "Are you here to gather supplies for your food cart? I don't think corn on the cob or popcorn are on the menu, so I'm not sure what you hope to achieve being out here," he said with a puzzled expression. Tommy didn't want to reveal his own purpose for being there just yet. He also didn't want to turn invisible, as it would be pointless in this abandoned area. He had come to the field in search of something, but he wasn't sure what it was yet. As he walked through the crops, he scanned the area for any clues. Perhaps there was a hidden passage or a buried treasure. He had heard rumors of a secret underground bunker in this area, but he wasn't sure if they were true. Today's investigation was a little more than usual for Enigma. He was out in the countryside, looking for a lead that could help him solve the mysterious shape being made with crop circles. One of the NPCs there had mentioned that the crop circles were fine in the morning, but after nightfall, they turned into peculiar shapes, which seemed like they were trying to send a message or symbol to someone. This alone was enough to make Enigma curious, but what made him even more interested was the mention of aliens.
"Aliens huh? I guess it could be a good lead in regards to what's been going on." Enigma felt a chuckle escape him as he thought about the possibility of everything that had happened so far being due to the intervention of aliens. Maybe Earth itself was nothing more than a piece of alien technology that had been left behind and had built sentience. It had been so deep into the earth and had used its nutrients that it had "become earth", so to speak. As interesting as that sounded, Enigma knew that it was a little too crazy and out there. He also knew that there were others who believed in the alien mentions, even before the world had changed. Since Enigma was somewhat of a paranormal investigator, he figured he would give it a chance and see where this lead would take him. Enigma found the mention of the "Blessed berserker" class interesting. It seemed to him that sometimes the name of a class was a hint or revealing detail of what the class did. He learned that Maria was more focused on physical assault, which was the opposite of his own approach. Regardless, he appreciated that she was willing to share her class information, as it was the first step in building trust between them. In response, Enigma decided to offer a bit of information in return. "I won't take money for this," he said. "Instead, let's exchange points or favors. I'll ask for something later on down the line, and we can call it even then. Don't worry, it won't be anything unreasonable." Enigma saw favors as a blank check that he could stick into his back pocket. He believed that you never knew who a person would turn out to be in the future, or who they would know. By keeping an open mind about the potential of others and holding onto a favor, he felt that it would be a safe bet in the long run. "Well, that's why I'm here. I'm always up for having a good time."
Enigma started to nod his head to the beat of the song that was playing. "Do you know how to dance to this one?" he asked. As they continued to talk, Enigma couldn't help but think that he had made a new ally in Maria.
