A couple of curt nods would be offered in response to the things that Valentine had been telling him. 'So not a killer.. but one that ignores all of the bodies in the stairwells?' 'Oh great.. Another psychopath!' 'Push him to see what kind of reaction you can get out of him! Regret it, Regret it, Regret it..!!' Still doing his best to ignore the things that were being said to him, Sami would pull open their menu. It hadn't been all that long since he had activated the privacy settings of his class page, so he wasn't all that worried about this Valentine learning more about him than necessary, so this much had been fine. With his menu now open, Sami would filter through a few tabs before sending on over a friend request to this Valentine individual. While they didn't care all that much as to whether or not this person had decided to accept the friend request, they had figured that it was best to build bridges where he could.

"Your sister, huh? I have a couple of those. And a couple of brothers. Haven't seen them in.. awhile though." For all of a moment, there had been a sliver of vulnerability that would slip from behind the mans eyes. Even the way that he had said the phrase had been enough to possibly reveal something underneath. "Anyyywayyssss~ How have you been trying to locate your sister from up here? Did you manage to find some kind of magnifying glass or something? Seoul may not be as big as some places but I doubt that she'll just be strolling on by, you know?" The thought of Valentine's class possibly assisting them had also come to mind but asking about that upon their first interaction was likely a bad idea. Better to build up the trust between the two of them first. After all, Pori had only fallen for the whole asking her class early on thing due to the fact that she was.. well, she wasn't exactly the brightest of the bunch.

"If you'd like, I suppose that I could try helping you track her down. It's my goal to explore the city anyways. Who knows what kind of hidden dungeons or field bosses there might be out there? Overcoming such things as a party will at the very least ensure that we have a higher chance of survival!~" 'Not that you should ever have the chance to overcome such things on your own.. You would have been better off if the world had taken longer to render you or had refused to save you at all.' Yet again that melancholic voice would overtake Sami's thoughts. Rather than saying anything about it, a single tear would simply flow down his cheek. This had quite possibly looked rather strange overall, considering the fact that the deranged man had still been smiling.

Was Pori truly unaware of how slimes tended to function or was she simply playing it off? Even if it was more often than not considered to be among the weakest of starter monsters, a slime could truly devastate an unprepared individual. While they may seem unaggressive at first, those little things could likely still drop a body if it came down to it. Well.. depending on the game/story in which they are currently within. Sometimes they truly are that miserable, unfortunately. "I'm not quite so certain that I can agree with you on the whole slimes being happy thing but I guess that we'll come to find out how dangerous they can be when we come across them." A shrug would then be offered in response.

With the topic having returned to the topic of attacks once more, Sami would proceed to open up his shop menu and filter through for a mystery box. He wasn't quite sure as to what he would get from here but he was hoping that he might acquire some kind of armor or weapon. Anything really... but then again, a weapon would have been far more beneficial, given the fact that he technically already had armor of a sorts. After having clicked the button, a chest would appear within the young mans inventory. With a quirked eyebrow, Samuel would click on the box and after having done so, the the chest in on his submenu would begin to glow and play some kind of animation. It wouldn't be too long before the man would receive yet another notification.

A sly smile would begin to creep upon Samuel's face as he had decided to remove his newfound weapon from his inventory. "I'm def proud of you for learning how to deal with these enemies in your own way." He would than begin to hold up the taser so that Pori could see it. "Now you have a way with dealing with these beasts and so do I~" He would than proceed to place the taser on his lap before reaching into his inventory and removing his half of a medallion. Without much of a second thought, he would proceed to attempt to place his half of the amulet together with Pori's. If something were to come of it than this was something that they would need to address later but if not? Well he would simply toss his half of the medallion into his inventory.

Regardless of what would happen with the medallion, once that situation was more or less done, Sami would proceed to stand up and hold his taser firmly within his grip. "I suppose that we should head on out and try and try to find some of these slimes of yours, yeah? I suggest that we try and warp on over to Seoul. Korea is more often than not where these kinds of novels take place sooooo it should be fine~" And with that, Sami would proceed to head towards one of the massive obelisks nearby.

'Oh look. Someone is actually in there.' 'Maybe they were just hiding from you.' 'Gut 'em! Kill 'em! Take this place as your own! It must be filled with tons of precautions if there is a person still livin' here!' Doing his best to ignore the voices as they had come, Sami would remove the crowbar from the slot in between the door and tilt his head off to the side. From the angle that he had been looking into the gap, it was quite likely that a single one of his eyes had been rather ominously staring off at the homeowner. "Well helloooo~ Sorry about the doorframe! Just wasn't sure if there was actually anyone home or not. You wouldn't happen to mind if I were to take a gander out your window, right?"

While Samuel wasn't trying to come across as problematic, he could understood if that were how things had seemed. That being the case, he would ultimately go on to decide that he should try and appear a tad more friendly. "I've been looking around for any survivors and the ones that I have come across just aren't quite doing it for me. I mean.. Hell, most of these people are gone! Either completely missing or just kind of rotting in your stairwell over there." As he would mention the bit about the stairwell, Sami would gesture off towards the door leading down to it. "Speaking of which, what do you know about what happened here? Were your tutorials just like much worse or something?" Question after question would spew forth from the mans mouth as he had continued to wonder just what exactly had gone on in Seoul.

"I honestly thought that this place was going to be full of top notch players. That's how it goes in the novels anyways.. but I suppose that the author of such novels is far more likely to lean on their country having the strongest players when all comes down to it. Nationalism, or whatever it's called." Taking a brief step back from the crack in the door, Sami would offer the individual inside a toothy grin. "You don't happen to be some top notch player, right?!~"

Seoul, Korea. A place that he had wished to come to for as long as he had been reading the manhwa and light novels that often came from such a place. The place that the strongest hunters had been born within the various novels that detailed events such as the one that they were in now. Now this was the kind of place that he had wanted to be during this entire ordeal. If only he could have been brought here during his tutorial.. How differently would things have turned out for him if he would have been brought here? Well given both the lack of players meandering about and the fact that slimes had been bouncing all throughout the setting.. It could honestly have been either a good thing or a bad thing. Where was everyone? Why couldn't he seem to locate anyone at the moment? The truth behind the reasoning for this was that the few survivors that had been in the area.. Well they were trailing after him. It was their intention to jump him eventually. Even if they had the upper hand in numbers, one can never be too safe. Especially when considering that your target had been speaking to himself and making the rounds in a hospital gown...

Honestly rather unaware of the fact that anyone had been following after him, Samuel had decided that his best bet of locating others would have been to search a high rise. If he could gain some height than a new world would open up to him. It is for this very reason that Samuel had found himself currently making the climb up a high rise apartment. Unsurprisingly, it would seem as though the elevator that he had been trying to use was down. And as for the stairwells? Well it was his only option at the moment but it was quite difficult to navigate given the corpses that had littered them. 'How utterly beautiful! The fact that such scum couldn't handle these beasts on their own.. They deserved to perish!' 'If only he would perish now..' 'Perhaps it would have been best to take the elevator?' Shaking his head from side to side, Samuel would continue to step over any of the things that had managed to get in his way. "I am going to need all of you to shut up.. I hate having to hear you..."

Eventually the man would find himself on one of the upper floors of the apartment. Each floor had been rather cleared out at this point but some of the upper ones? Well they had seemed to have had sturdier locks on them. Keeping this in mind, Samuel would eventually track back down to the lower levels until he had found a maintenance office. Once there, he would secure a crowbar that he would use on the doorframes of the upper levels. One by one, Samuel would start to crack open front doors. He had been rather keen on surviving in this new setting and as such, he was going to need to be sure that he was kept rather well equipped. With each doorway, Samuel would come across more and more food that he would go on to hurl into his inventory. And after awhile? Well after awhile, Samuel would proceed to try and rip open a doorframe that had been far more difficult to dismantle.. Almost as though someone had taken precautions against intrusion. "...what in the hells?" Banging on the door, Samuel would try and get the attention of anyone that may have been inside. "Oi! Is anyone in there?! Helloooo~" Of course it was entirely likely that no one had been within this apartment.

As much as he didn't want to have to bring the mood down again, Sami couldn't help but shake his head from side to side once more. "No, no. That much is unrealistic. Unless we find someone with some kind of farmer or cooks class, doing much with food might get a bit difficult. I mean, think about it. There are all kinds of monsters roaming about the fields and stuff now. I am sure that as time goes on, that much will only get worse. Until everyone kind of settles in and is able to overtake a few of these beasts on their own, returning back to the way that things were will be quite difficult. As such, finding a place with unlimited food is just as unrealistic."

While it might have been nice for the two of them to have tracked such a place down, Sami just couldn't imagine the two of them getting that lucky. For the time being, there was likely to be not much else aside from the chaos. Perhaps such a place would exist in the future but even then, it will likely be entirely run by people like them. People that had been lucky enough to be embraced by the light. Such a vision did have a higher chance of becoming a reality if multiple people were to work on it together though.

"Hm.. How to say this in a way that makes the most sense to you." Taking a moment to scratch at the back of his head, Sami would turn his undivided attention back towards the teenage slime. "A guild is what essentially an organized group of people that tend to have abilities. At least that is how it usually goes in the light novels. The head of which is known as a Guild Master. More often than not though, the Guild Master tends to be whoever it is that is the strongest in the guild. It's usually someone that persevered at the beginning of the trials and the like, like us, so perhaps we could become one someday? If we don't go out of our way to join one anyways."

Hoping to try and convey his ideology in a simpler way, Sami would look around until he had found a stick or a shell. Given where they had been located at at the moment, the shell was what would eventually come into his hand. He would than use the shell to help him draw a diagram in the sand. "It tends to vary by guild to guild, or perhaps novel to novel, by the ranking system is usually something like this. We start with the Guild Master at the top and just below him we have the Vice Guild Master. Below them tends to be Team Captains and below those Team Captains, there are simple soldiers assigned to a unit. It's very militaristic, to say the least."

Chucking the shell out towards the waters, Sami would continue. "All in all, it is a community of likeminded people that are following along the same goal. There are various benefits that can come from being a part of a guild, such as access to unique quests and items, and bonuses based on guild size. They even come with a home base!! Depending on the setting, this can range anywhere from a typical guild hall to a high rise penthouse building. It all depends on the strength and renown of your guild. And of course there is one final thing that guilds usually do that quite honestly make them the most important thing to be a part of. In addition to all of the other benefits, guilds tend to arrange large scale raids on dungeons or gates. That means that there are bigger parties of people working together. And the more people that you have assisting you on a mission or in a dungeon? Well those simply increase your chances of survival."

Yet again, Samuel had found himself in an instance in which this illness of his was making things worse. It wasn't ideal, and he quite honestly didn't know this girl, so there was no real telling on what he should do here. On one hand, if he were honest about what was going on, she might become more afraid of him. On the other, she might as well just end up running off anyways... Being sick was disgustingly difficult to navigate. "...I hadn't been speaking to you when I told you to shut up." A moment of being genuine. One that had even surprised him to have been allowing to slip beneath the cracks. "..I really did think that your whip was fancy. It's like a long ranged eating utensil. Not everyone can manage to get one of those.." A tired sigh would than escape from the mans lips as he had begun to curl up into a fetal position.

For a moment, all was quiet. He didn't wish to expose too much about himself but at this point, it wasn't as though he really had a choice. One way or another, he was going to need this girls assistance. For the time being anyways. "I.. hear these voices sometimes.. and they don't say very nice things about people." Unsure of what else to even say or do at this point, the man would continue to ignore the voices. His head had begun to hurt as he simply sat there, trying to figure out how to get himself out of this situation. Being alone.. While it was something that he was capable of, it wasn't something that he had wanted to do. "..I only said that we could find these people of yours to try and help.."

She.. she thought that he was the best? Well this was certainly something that he never would have expected. All that he had done was trade away something that he quite honestly didn't have much of a use for. Was it going to remain this easy to keep her on his side? Just some cake and an emoticon? Well as long as she didn't end up turning against him in favor of another, he had supposed that this was correct. Even with the snide remarks that the voices had begun to make, this had felt as though it was the correct decision. "Well I am glad that you are enjoying it so much!! Just think of all of the shenanigans that one can get up to with that thing. It's going to be glorious, I'm sure~"

Samuel would then proceed to listen to the various things that Pori had to say about her future plans. From what he could tell, it was quite likely that they were going to be sticking together for quite awhile. Or at least until she had managed to find a place in which there was enough food to last her a lifetime. "I see, I see. You know, Pori, we are currently in a situation akin to the apocalypse. Finding somewhere that can offer us tons of fun.. Well it likely isn't going to be all that easy." While part of Sami had been saying this to keep a shield in between him and his enemies for as long as he possibly could, the other part of him had been entirely sincere. In the novels that tended to focus on situations similar to the one that this world was currently facing, it has already been a couple of years since all of the craziness has occurred. The government was still able to manage some semblance of control over those that would become known as hunters or players. Given the vast difference in timing.. Well it was likely that they would have to deal with some major difficulties before the world was at a point in which a semblance of normalcy would return.

The fact that Pori had been looking over weapons and such was something that had given Samuel a bit of relief. Given his skill set, it was quite clear that he was only able to defend himself. And even then it was primarily against mental attacks. If he were going to survive then he was going to need to find someone that could act as his sword. 'Is she seriously askin' if she should buy a weapon? What kind of idio-' "Yeah, I think that you should. Our abilities don't exactly seem to be unlimited. Unless we focus on increasing stats like willpower, it'll be rather unlikely that we'll be able to have huge reserves for our attacks and the like. What kind of weapon are you thinking of getting? And uh.. Who is this 'he' that you are referring to?"
