Jaydie loosely understood what the mission was now, still she would give it her best. She wasn't totally out of the loop however to notice Seika was just as spaced out as she previously was. Approaching the woman with smile before patting her on the shoulder, mostly to let her know everything was okay. "Hey cheer up, this'll be easy but even if not I gotchu homie." Jaydie said in a lighthearted tone of voice. Jaydie was actually looking forward to showing the others what she could do, even if it was not very much. Still she was excited to try her luck doing this thing. "First monster fight out of the gate, lets go!" Jaydie said pumping her fist in the air in a hyped motion. She was probably one of the few who was actively enjoying this thing, someone had to if Noelle would always be a downer and Seika was looking out of it like someone she knew died. So being the comic relief had some merit to it, at least in the moment right? Hopefully they did not mind it too much. Jaydie was ready to start whenever the others were prepared to do this thing.

Jaydie took this opportunity to look at the equipment she had from the shed from earlier. "Lets see. There are some broken swords here and some wooden clubs. Hmm. Got it!" Jaydie quickly went to work using her ability by combining the broken blades with the wooden clubs to make Tonfa Blades for the next guard. The timer was still ticking down, this meant that they were running low on the time before the 'monster attack' as Jaydie had guessed. Their were a total of only four guards, two each on both sides of the restaurant, which were slowly getting better equipped as Jaydie and Yasuko outfitted them with their abilities. The other directions walled off by a poorly constructed fence. One look at the fence made it seem like that needed a touch up as well.
But both of them could only do equipment, what could they do about the fence? As if to answer her question another screen popped up in front of her. It asked 'Use Scrap Conversion?' Jaydie then asked what it asked her on the screen out loud. "Use Scrap Conversion? What does that mean?" And again a new screen popped up right underneath to show her what it meant. 'Convert broken weapons and armor into materials for use later.' it said. "So does this mean we can upgrade that broken fence? Eh why not, let's try it!" Jaydie took the leftover broken armor which were all made from metal, monster bones and leather then used the Scrap Conversion feature to her surprise which turned all of it into raw materials on the ground next to her. The materials on the ground were perfectly cut metal bars, monster bones stacked on the ground that were straight as logs and leather that was perfectly tanned in patches of hide nearby.
Looking over toward the freshly converted materials on the ground nearby made one more window which said 'Upgrades' which gave plenty of options for different defenses, traps and even some artillery all at different material costs. Their materials were limited though which meant they needed to choose carefully. "Yasuko, hope you've been keeping up. We got a lot of choices here for this tutorial. Sure is a tutorial alright, it is helping a lot like video games do. What do you think we should upgrade first?" Jaydie inquired to her partner next to her. This will be an interesting time for sure.

The forgotten mists were certainly a place that exists, that was one way to describe it. In truth Jaydie did not like the look of this area, it was foggy and dense. But the reason she was here had been because she had a need to level up, what better way to do that by doing missions? Seeing the girl known as Noelle with their ever cloudy illusion over her at all times. Jaydie would give a wave as she approached with a friendly smile.
"Hey there Noelle, funny seeing you here on this one." Jaydie greeted the girl she knew from a previous mission. "Alright who is our other?" Jaydie said looking around with her hand flat above her head to indicate she was looking for the other party member. More curious what kind of power and person this other party member would be like by the seconds that passed by.

Jaydie looked at the other girl who was on the beach with the other three, herself included, Jaydie then took a better look at the girl as she approached the group. Her clothes were pretty unique as woman, Seika her name was, had been wearing a kimono and actually looked pretty cute in it. Jaydie usually had a pretty good poker face, though admittedly a blush slipped out before addressing her question. "Oh me? My class is Trickblade, I make combined weapons basically."
Jaydie said as she would show off the whip sword she had on her hip by gesturing to it. Jaydie who had been dazed by Seika's appearance literally made her forget why she was here. She knew it was a mission and that they were at a beach but everything else just resulted in blank thoughts when trying to figure out the mission details. "Umm. Why are we here again? I forgot the mission deets just now." Jaydie said by sticking out her tongue and bonking her fist on her head to indicate she forgot something crucial.

As the timer counted down Jaydie tried to think on her feet about the possibilities that were available to the two. "Well I woke up in a barn house with a lot of hay but no horses. But I saw a bunch of weapons and armor scattered about, it might be a repurposed stable is my guess." Before turning her gaze toward the place where she woke up. Her lips curled into a smile upon realization that she could probably use her newfound powers to make better weapons for the guards. The timer already got to 50 minutes from the previously shown timer of 60 minutes. This meant they would need to act fast, they were talking a bit from what she could tell. "So it is this way, let's go." she led Yasuko to the storage stables where sure enough a lot of weapons and armor were scattered about.
Most of them broken or in bad shape. Jaydie took this opportunity to take any weapons that could be used to combine into a Trick Weapon. Best thing she could do for now was to combine a broken bow that was split in half right down the middle and two swords that were similar in shape to the other. She combined the two into a weapon she decided to call Icarus, inspired by a game she had played a while back. The bow was made up of two blades that could be separated for individual use but also combined back together for use as a bow.
That was one down, but she had a few other ideas too but right now she noticed the timer ticking down more and more. For now she would just take a few improvised trick weapons then assign those to the guards using the menu that popped up in front of her when she approached one. It was an equipment menu that showed up right after approaching one of the poorly equipped guards. "Yep this confirms it, this is our tutorial. See right there Yasuko? An equipment menu!" she said excitedly.

"I don't know a hot look like that might not be very cool but definitely smokin' hot." Jaydie made her own joke at him, making it very obvious she was joking this time. Looking at Yasuko's abilities gave her a bit of a hint on what this tutorial was for. "Ah I get it now." Jaydie started before looking at the poorly equipped guards. "So this 'tutorial' is for both of us. I can make trick weapons by combining two existing weapons into one. See those poorly equipped guards? Despite being transparent I've noticed their armor and weapons are not." Jaydie pointed out as she directed Yasuko's attention toward the guards by pointing at them. Not exactly rude since those guards couldn't see them anyway.
"But yeah I think this is what the tutorial is prepping us for." A display window came up in front of both of them. It was a window that had a timer counting down from 60 minutes. The title said 'Prep Time' right above the timer that was ticking down for them. "So if I am understanding this right, we have an hour to prep for an incoming attack of some sort. What do you think?" she inquired to Yasuko.

The honest praise she was receiving was actually quite unexpected especially since Jaydie didn't mean a word of her self depreciation, it was all just an act. Though being told she was beautiful was definitely nice to hear either way. What made her sound so convincing though was not because of her acting skills, but because she had hid her depressive thoughts about herself to everyone. She knew she was good looking though so these sad thoughts were more directed at her 'mask' so to speak.
Jaydie acted cute and happy all the time to stave off her own fear of the world as it is in its current state. Monsters all over the world, humanity on the brink of destruction and mysterious powers awakening within those who remain. Her mask is more of the other side of the coin. Heads is the Mask, Tails is Unmasked. So when she was complimented on her looks, it genuinely made her happy that someone else so much as cared even if it was meant as a prank at first. Closing her eyes for but a brief moment then taking a breath, Jaydie placed her forefingers on her cheeks with a cutesy expression to indicate happiness. The mask back on. She took the phrase 'fake it till you make it' quite literally.
Anyways this made her question what gender this person was, saying dude would have to suffice for now. "Well thank you dude, you are quite pleasing to the eye as well.~" Jaydie said with that cutesy expression on her face still. Dropping the cute act a bit she would take a look behind Yasuko, The people she noticed before were actually just part of the tutorial, they were see-through and passed right through the doorway that the two were blocking for everyone else as if they weren't even there.
Looking back at the guards behind her, they were the same but everything else was physical and actually there. Their weapons and armor were not transparent, the barricades were not as well. So this meant that the tutorial was to assist these guards that don't even know they even exist to defend against enemies that will likely not even perceive them in the first place. That explains the condition of not being able to directly intervene. Jaydie could give the guards trick weapons and such but what could Yasuko do? Guess only one way to find out. "So dude, Yasuko I mean, did you see this tutorial thing and its conditions?" she asked in a more serious tone of voice.

As she began to open the door she noticed a woman? Jaydie was unsure until what she presumed to be a he spoke. Since dude is a gender neutral term she was going to address them as such. But first things first, the person in front of her screamed in surprise upon seeing her. Now she was no idiot, she knew this had to be another person in her situation like her. Still though Jaydie was a gremlin, as said to her by her older brother Mortimer. And she agreed with him, she was not one to deny her nature. So what would she do? She'd prank him of course! "Well excuse me! I had no idea I was that ugly, last time I looked in the mirror it only cracked alittle bit from it." She was acting as if it was a daily occurrence, she was a professional actor and magician after all.
Jaydie did not make it obvious she was joking. "Well I was sleeping in my room, dreaming of being normal looking, before I woke up here. So unless we are both in the same dream or something I don't think it isn't real. Not as real as my appearance, but who's counting?" Jaydie waited a bit for them to react to her prank before she ended up bursting out laughing either way. "Wow sorry, I don't think I could keep up that act for long! Haha anyway my name is Jaydie Bluestar, nice to meetcha!"

A nice sunny day like this was usually perfect for going to the beach and to relax, but a mission was a mission and she needed to get her level up. Starting at level 1 and already going for a mission of this rank was probably just plain stupid to most people but she wasn't 'most people'. Jaydie knew the risks but did not care, she did have a few others on her team anyway so she would just play a supportive role for now. Despite how she wants to fight on the front-lines it was not in her mind to try to do that, at least not now, she was reckless but not stupid. Besides she had to really get used to the whole player business anyway, what better way to do that then to watch pros in action? As she carried a very bright orange parasol through the area, Jaydie was a dead giveaway with her usual bright clothing. But that was the point, she loved the attention. She brought the parasol mostly to stave off the sun, but this mission was just as exciting even if she hadn't brought it. So what would she do?
Guess she could introduce herself, that would be the wise thing to do. But right now she just wanted to get on with this thing already. Still no harm in some common courtesy, she was from a decently wealthy family after all. She needed to be polite to her team right? So what would she say upon her first impression of the others? Something endearing? Nope! She went ahead and blurted out the first thing that came to mind instead. "Sup fellow beach babes!" Yeah she was a bit crass with that, but she didn't mean any harm by it. It could be misunderstood though, but this was just how she talked. "Name's Jaydie Bluestar, nice to meetcha!" She smirked as she said that. .

"Loading in.... Stats assigned....Player Class is Trickblade... Welcome in Jaydie Bluestar." said a mysterious voice as Jaydie awoke in what seemed to be like a barn at first glance. Her blue eyes glanced around the area to find she was not in a barn per-se but the hay she had been sleeping in woke her up as it bristled like freshly fallen leaves as she found herself shifting out of it. Eventually taking her stand to notice she had hay all over her outfit, with a light brush of her hand she dusted herself off before taking a glance outside the aforementioned barn she had assumed it was. Turns out this was not a barn, well not entirely, this was the storage area of a restaurant it seemed as she looked outside to see people lined up eager to try the good food of this place. Opening the wooden door handle to find herself outside she took notice that she was definitely not in New York now, the people of this village she found herself in were all dressed strangely too.
Suddenly a menu popped up in front of Jaydie. "Protect the citizens of the village within the time limit." Jaydie read aloud before looking at the restaurant and the citizens lined up. Fences were around the building and a few guards but they did not look well equipped. "Looks easy enough, this will be a cakewalk." Jaydie thought aloud before another menu popped up as if to prove her wrong. It read "The Player cannot fight directly in the battle." What did that even mean? Not fight 'directly'. That word felt important somehow. She looked at the description regarding her class. "Trickblade. I can combine weapons into new Trick Weapons for others. So this must be a test to show if I can properly use my new power." Jaydie mused to herself before looking at the poorly equipped guards. Looking behind her she noticed a few weapon racks that did not seem there before, that or she failed to notice them when she was waking up in the barn. She had been a bit dizzy before waking up so it made a little sense. Still this must be the trial. "Should be interesting for sure." Jaydie said with a smirk, thinking of was to use her new power. But right now she was hungry. "I'll check this place out." Jaydie mused aloud before heading into the restaurant.

When I was younger I always dreamed to be famous like my amazing father and mother. Thing was I knew that it wouldn't be gained just by existing. I had to make my own fame, my own fun. Pranks are my specialty and I love to spread my version of fun through them. Through the teachings of my father and mother I was able to master my own skills. Mom's Acrobatics and Dad's Illusion like magic had ingrained into my very being. However this would not stop me from being myself. Fun is everything, without Fun life cannot simply go on for very long. That's why I will spread Fun all over the world, whether they like it or not. And if someone ever tries to ruin my fun, I will ruin them instead. However I don't think I'll ever get mad at my parents, they are my family and my mentors. So if you mess with them, you are going to be in for a world of hurt, mental or physical. To drive that point home I trained with a Sword, a whip-sword to be specific that I had made for me. backstory
Born into a rich family of the famous Martin the Magician as the father and an Jessie the Olympics Star as the mother. Jaydie Bluestar is the result of these two forming a union. She was raised into riches but never enjoyed the fact she had money that wasn't her own. So due to this Jaydie sought out making her own funds and with it her own fun. She used her skills that she was raised with to perform stage magic for others, sneak around to play pranks, then eventually try to become a Hunter. No matter what happens, she plans to make something Fun out of all of her experiences. If someone or something ruins her fun, she will ruin them instead.[break][break]
