he request to follow along was understandable, even if there wasn't really a real job to be done here. With that in mind, Serafina chuckled and shrugged before grabbing her coat, slipping the thing back on as she hopped off of the wheel well. "Sounds like a plan to me. I'd just request you take it real slow for just a bit longer. I've still got a short wait before I can bring out one of my vehicles again." She explained as her feet hit the ground, and she flung one hand up into the air, gesturing for Hana to kick the tractor back on. She didn't plan to talk while she was getting it started up. God knew her lungs and vocal cords didn't have the room or power to make her audible over the noise of an engine. Then of course, was the fact that the sound of good old fashioned machinery rumbling and purring had always been an almost..comforting sound to her. So much so that it brought a small smile to her face as the tractor kicked to life. It was nice to see that not everything in the world could be changed so easily. Truth be told, the noise did a lot to remind her of her earliest days as a Nomad. There'd been a small group of wandering Backpackers and Bikers she'd run across in her first few months of travelling. Travelling with the group was where she'd picked up most of her skills with vehicle maintenance as well as the knowledge she had about living off the grid. Really, the companionship was the one thing that had made things fun in that first year. That group had ended when they'd all independently decided upon a different sight they wanted to see, different lands to visit. It wasn't dissimilar to the situation she'd found herself living in now, really. But, it was time to return to reality. She had given her approval to the request to come with Hana. After all, what was the worst case scenario? It was just a walk to a nearby village, in the middle of a relatively safe area. But, her class's core ability was still on cooldown. That meant she was left to start walking as she watched the Tractor jerk forward and start rolling. All the while, she kept her eyes on the driver's seat. If she noticed Hana starting to hesitate or the tractor itself start to move in a way that wasn't quite right, she called out to the poor girl, giving her instructions as best she could over the noise of the tractor's engine. All the while, silently wishing she hadn't dismissed her bike. Even with Hana going at a slow pace, each passing second meant that Serafina had to walk faster and faster, quickly leaving her preferred walking pace behind as the tractor got faster and faster. God damn it. Her speed walk turned into a jog, which quickly had to pick up into running. Just a few more seconds, and she'd be able to summon her own ride again. ISHY of THQ & ADOXOGRAPHY

f there was any situation that could be called a bad one from Serafina's perspective, it would be the one she had found herself in now. She'd managed to knock the first monster away, cracking its neck thanks to the high speed rotation of her bike's back wheel. However, if she'd been expecting Rowan to fire off at one of the other monsters, she was about to be very disappointed. As the crow from above continued to dive, the voice that had announced the matchmaking spoke up once again. "System Recalibrating. Stand by for Party Composition changes."
Before Serafina could even question what that meant, she felt the weight of Rowan just outright vanish from the back of her motorcycle. Fuck. And now she saw that there were two of these damn things appearing. Serafina scowled. Well, she supposed now was as good a time as any. Raising one hand, she focused. Two things happened. First, the path of her road that she had sailed past shifted ever so slightly. It was already dissipating, but she still had time. The crow that dove at her from above would find itself crashing headfirst into an identical copy of the motorcycle that Serafina was riding. A motorcycle that was currently in the process of ravaging the Dire Crow's body via a surprisingly fast backflip.
The two hits were enough to kill the one that had dove from above. But that didn't stop the one that was charging her now. Gripping the handles of her motorcycle with a newfound intensity Serafina pulled back with all of her might, raising her front wheel..and slamming the whole front end of the vehicle down onto the spinning crow mere moments before it would have collided with her. It tumbled past each of her wheels, body having already gone limp as the second bike slowed down, riding just behind Serafina now as the previous stretch of road fell apart. However, something interesting had happened. The two kills had been rather quick behind each other, and something pinged in her head. A level up. Two of them.
As her eyes scanned across the horizon, something became apparent to her. She wasn't going to be able to make the leap to the next building if her road kept going straight down. Thankfully, this was a realization she'd had almost instinctively. Shortly after the crows failed their assault, Serafina felt the stability of a road disappear out from underneath the wheels of her vehicle. This was going to be a difficult landing. She couldn't land in the water, but she would have to hope she could also time it well enough that she touched the top of the building instead of missing the top and landing in some of the more shallowly flooded areas. Either option was a fail..and she didn't want to think about what would happen if she failed.
Christ, she hoped this was going to work. The building got larger and larger as she continued to fall. They'd dealt with the first round of monsters. But would it matter if Isha became the only one able to continue the 'tutorial' they'd been thrown into? ISHY of THQ & ADOXOGRAPHY

f there was anyone out there who understood the anger that the system's new rules had caused, it would be two very distinct and very different groups of people: Gun nuts, who even now still complained about how the system was 'Violating their rights' or some asinine argument like that. And then, people like her. Nomads who had lived their entire lives out of one vehicle or another. People who had put all of their hopes and feelings, dreams and ideals on the back of four or more wheels. For those people, the system had taken everything they had. She'd seen a good handful of names she recognized from the days before the world had completely shifted populating the ranks of the listed casualties of 'failed' tutorials. She supposed she understood. It was hard to accept that your entire livelihood had been yanked out from under you. But then, she'd been one of the lucky ones. The system had seemingly only been able to pull on her lived experience as a nomad to generate her classes, and the one that had been most appealing to her by name alone was one that allowed her to keep at least some semblance of advanced transportation. Unfortunately, it wasn't much faster than walking anywhere. In a way, it felt like the system was mocking her. Sure, she could have her vehicles. But there were going to be some terms and conditions. Perhaps that was why she hadn't bothered to spawn in a vehicle this time, and had chosen to just walk. If anything decided to fight her, she could always just summon something portable and thwack it with that. But she also couldn't bring herself to fully give up on some of her old hobbies. The part of nomad life that had been most intriguing to her had been all of the tinkering. The slight adjustments to get just that little bit of extra life, extra power, extra comfort. It was why she'd found herself continuing to wander the countryside of England. After all, if the system had been unable to completely rewrite the memories and life of a single individual, what were the odds that it could completely remove the entirety of any trace of modern society from the entirety of a country? That thought was what had driven her to begin a search of her own. There were no real scrapyards to be found still. The mere concept seemed to have been overtaken by the natural world that the system had promoted. That was when it finally caught her eye. An unnatural glint in the distance, as well as the faint sound of metal smacking against metal. She found herself picking up the pace, turning from a casual walk into a jog. Someone had beat her to this pile, and she was gonna be damned if that meant she missed out on having something to do with her free time that wasn't trying to hunt down and kill monsters. From the direction she had approached, she couldn't see anyone. It sounded like they were on the other side of the small hill of scrap. In the grand scheme, compared to old scrapyards? This was a relatively small pile of scrap. But it was still enough scrap to make an artificial hill in the flat plains of the countryside. Serafina didn't miss a beat. With a smirk spreading across her lips, she slowly began to ascend the hill, taking a seat on an old bike seat that was sticking out of the top, right next to a bit of car frame that had been sandblasted to a mirror shine. As she looked down, she saw him. Some random guy she didn't quite recognize. Though, she certainly got the odd feeling that she should have. "Looking for something down there?" She called out, the question doused in a lightly teasing tone. ISHY of THQ & ADOXOGRAPHY

he fact that she'd even been able to pick up that much was admittedly rather heartwarming for Serafina to see. Driving had always been a big part of her life. From living in the states--where you couldn't get much of anywhere without a car if you didn't live in a major city--to her own nomadic lifestyle. So to see someone still bothering to learn in a point in time where cars were not only being actively withheld, but where you could actively be teleported across the world by virtue of finding a safe zone? It was inspiring, to her at least. So, without missing a beat, Serafina gestured for Hana to get back up on the tractor instead of getting down out of it. Instead of getting up into the tractor from that side, Serafina made a point of walking around the other side, grabbing the pull rail and pulling up onto the stairs. She couldn't get into the tractor itself, unfortunately. When she attempted to, a barrier popped up to rebuff her back onto the miniscule staircase. Yep, that was about right. With that in mind, she made a point of slipping off the jacket she'd been wearing, tossing it onto the metal semicircle that covered the back wheel so that she could lean back against it. "Alright, I'll give you credit where it's due for recognizing a manual transmission when they've become so rare. You're right, you would need to shift gears to make this thing go faster." She said. Over the next few minutes, she made a point of slowly walking Hana through the control panel. What each little stick and nob did, what pedals were for what. Even how one would theoretically raise and lower a bucket that could be attached to this particular type of tractor. She even answered any questions that Hana had perhaps had about making this Tractor move. Once that was done, she looked at the young girl again. "So, you think you've got a handle on things now? I can tag along with you, just in case something goes wrong with the tractor itself. It was a kind offer, and one that she would have offered even if Hana had known how to drive it in the first place. After all, it was certainly more interesting than simply wandering the countryside like she had been. This could certainly be a change of course that she didn't mind. After all, while wanderlust ran through her veins like blood, it was that feeling of community that had been her greatest comfort in the days before now. She would certainly have to rebuild. But in doing so, perhaps she could share those beliefs and ideals with the younger generation, like Hana here. ISHY of THQ & ADOXOGRAPHY

erafina didn't have the luxury of just leaping off of the building like Isha had. She had to scan the ledge first. Yup, right there. A break in the concrete 'rail' that had boxed them in. Keeping herself still long enough for Rowan to not only join her, but get a good grip on the bike as well as her. Once she had verbal confirmation that Rowan was ready, Serafina lifted one foot as the bike began to roll forward, the purr of the idling engine giving way to that feeling of acceleration. There was no road at first. Instead, the pair picked up speed and ran through that break, becoming airborne for a few seconds that would quickly come to feel like an eternity. Then, with just a bit of focus and some envisioning, something began to spring to life right as they hit the mark of five feet before they would collide with the building itself. The road that had been created would be considered rather concerning if one looked down at it. It wasn't very thick. In all reality, it should have shattered when they collided with it. Even more concerning was the fact that you could see through it almost clearly. You had to squint to really make things out through the translucence, but you could. If you could manage to look at a light source that was glowing the same golden yellow as the midday sun. Alright. So this worked. It felt absolutely goddamn insane that they were somehow managing to somewhat defy physics right now, but it was happening. Glancing around, Serafina could see that they had about ten feet of wiggle room on either side. Good, that meant that this thing could maneuver. From what she had managed to digest of her new abilities, this vehicle was capable of hurting things. It was almost ironic that they gave the weapon of Vehicular Manslaughter to someone who had always been all too careful to not let anything happen to their vehicles. Of course, almost as if it was on cue, things began to spawn in. Several dark distortions in the air formed about thirty feet down from them. They would be driving and/or gliding right into it all. Serafina counted no less than four monsters. One too many for each of them to be able to focus on just one. But what were they about to be facing? After a moment the distortions faded, leaving a human sized crow behind. Crows that seemed all too ready to attack. "GET READY!" Serafina called out as each monster took notice. The four human sized birds took off, each flying in a different direction. One had flown directly at Isha, another directly at Serafina. However, the last two flew off in curves. One was going upwards, and began to dive right at Rowan, while the other tried to catch Isha off guard by circling around to her left side to get off a cheap swipe at her. Serafina gritted her teeth. She would have to time this correctly. Closer..closer. It was right as Serafina hit the ten foot mark--otherwise known as the midpoint--of her road that she tried it. This thing had moved according to her will so far. The option she had for combat was a bit on the reckless side, but if this thing really was just an extension of her will, this was going to work. And after a momentary groan from the bike itself as Serafina gave a quick warning of "Hold on tight!" before leaning in. Normally, there wasn't a chance in hell this would work. The weight of a bike was too unevenly distributed. And yet, almost like she was riding a bicycle, the 'trick' was seamless. The back end of the motorcycle came rocketing out, the back wheel colliding with the first crow, knocking it off course as Serafina followed through with the tailspin, doing her best to straighten out the vehicle as it did a complete three hundred and sixty degree turn. They'd needed to come to a full stop, but they were already heading off again. Whatever happened with the extra Crow that was hounding them, it would be up to Rowan to handle as best they could. As for Isha? Well, given how she'd just talked about herself, Serafina was sure she'd be having a ball. She couldn't focus on that. She needed to be ready to pop in another section of road.. erafina couldn't help but chuckle as this other blonde admitted what was frankly obvious to her: That she hadn't driven a tractor before. "I can see that. If I didn't know any better, I'd almost say that it looks like you never got the chance to get a license before the awakening, huh?" It was admittedly a bit of a reach, but her question would be met with another one. Particularly one regarding if she had a license or not herself. "Well, it seems that the system itself didn't rightly care one way or the other how long you'd been driving before it took over. Licensed or not, you're locked out all the same. As for my ride and this little path of mine? Well, you know how it is. The initial offerings can be quite...different, from person to person." Was there a real point to being vague? Not really. But it wasn't exactly like she was trying to shroud herself in mystery either. It was easy to tell that what she was doing wasn't exactly mundane by the fact that she had folded her arms atop the handlebars as she spoke, and yet somehow remained on a straight line. That was when the other girl said something that intrigued her: this was a vehicle she was delivering to someone else. She just didn't know how to make it go faster. That made Serafina click her tongue. "Ah, I reckon that's just cause ya don't know what yer lookin for." She said as she willed the road beneath her to fade. "Cut er off. I might not be allowed to drive this thing for you, but there's no rule that says I can't clamber on up there and walk you through getting things sped up. These things can go a fair bit faster than this molasses pace you've got going here." She could hear it in the way she was speaking. That damned accent and some of the vocabulary she'd grown up with were making themselves apparent. She cleared her throat as she spoke up once more. "Besides. It's not like I've got anything going on. There's been nothing spawning around here lately, so at least having the opportunity to put the good old mechanic and driving skills to use in getting this thing hauling ass would be a nice change." She said, the accent completely shifting to a more general 'American' one. Of course, the motorcycle she was on came to a halt as she spoke, only to fully dissipate as she stepped off of it. "My name's Serafina. I would ask that you try not to call me by that though. Sera's fine. Some people have gone a bit on the weirder angle and called me Fina, though. How about you, kid? What's your name?" ISHY of THQ & ADOXOGRAPHY

ruth be told, Serafina wasn't entirely sure that her class was as well suited to this as it sounded like this new arrival's was. Sure, she had her road, and could drive it functionally anywhere. But she still needed to keep herself relatively close to a solid surface. Five feet was definitely a good amount of wiggle room to work with, but she was still going to have to be clever about this. As Isha leaned over the ledge and continued to speak, Serafina did some quick math in her head. She couldn't be entirely sure. But if she was going to make the jump, she almost certainly was going to have to make a 'ramp' out of her road. She would really have to hope she eyeballed it well enough. "Honestly, I don't think either of us are a particularly 'safe' option here. It's not like I'm gonna be able ta just make a bridge from here to the next building. The only way I can get down's a little more risky than that." She admitted, folding her arms atop the handlebars as she leaned forward on her bike. "The 'safe' way down fer me's gonna involve having to basically pull a Ghost Rider down the side'a the buildin' with the path I can make for this here beauty of a machine. So, honestly? I hope you've got a good grip, Ro. It's not exactly an easy trip either way." Was she being a bit of a downer? Sure. But it was simple etiquette. You didn't just throw someone in the deep end without telling them. That usually resulted in something or another fucking up on a grand scale. With that in mind, Serafina glanced out over their little 'course' one last time. "I also wouldn't be surprised if we wind up havin' ta deal with flying monsters on the way down, honestly. I'm..fairly confident we can manage. But if you haven't already, now'd be a good time to steel yer nerves." She said as she sat back up, raising her arms over her head and stretching, a series of pops coming from her as her back cracked. She wasn't against taking Rowan with her, but they definitely deserved to know that they had options, even if neither one was fully safe. Then again, it wasn't like 'safe' was going to be a normal thing for any of the three of them again. ISHY of THQ & ADOXOGRAPHY

f all the things she could have seen riding down the countryside like this, Serafina hadn't expected to see an actual vehicle. As she got closer, it became more clear what it was. From a distance, all she'd really been able to make out was 'big' and 'red'. But now that she was closing in on the even slower moving vehicle, it became clear what she was approaching. It was a goddamn tractor, of all things. In the sea of natural greens and browns, the red had stuck out, sure. But adding on the fact that it was well and truly a full blown machine made it stick out like the sorest, most broken thumb ever. Before she even realized what was going on, Serafina's motorcycle began to slow down, eventually coming to a near-stop next to the tractor. She supposed that was the benefit of a vehicle being directed by sheer force of will. Of course, not wanting to be rude she returned the wave that was given to her, a smile being paired with it. "Having some trouble, are we?" She asked, her tone cheerful enough, albeit relatively teasing in its inflection and tone. While she was indeed poking fun at this other person, she wasn't just making idle conversation. She was paying attention to the tractor. Her pure white 'road' of twilight was stretched out rather close to her after all. But being this close meant she also noticed whenever the tractor started to stutter or jerk. The other blonde was doing an admirable enough job of keeping it pointed and going straight. But it was almost painfully clear that she had no idea how to drive the vehicle she was seated in. Well, it wasn't fighting monsters. But at the very least, this was something she was more than capable of assisting with, even without using the gifts of The System. She just needed to be sure that this woman was genuinely having a problem before she offered up any help. ISHY of THQ & ADOXOGRAPHY

t had been more than a little irritating learning just how thoroughly the 'system' had changed the entire world once she finally got out of that damn tutorial. For one, cars just flat out weren't allowed anymore. Who in the hell does that? Cars and other modern vehicles were about the only way to get around large countries like the US. Not that that mattered anymore. All of the old, well worn roads that she had once been used to were now warped beyond recognition into a dust bowl of badlands. Not only that, but she'd been given a god damn warning prompt. It wasn't enough to take away all of her old paths and memories, no. Whatever had started this whole global collapse had decided to go ahead and make travelling the paths it had created in her old home exceedingly dangerous--read; stupid--to do for someone like her. Luckily, she'd not been alone. By some stroke of luck, a few old friends had been in the area. Alone, they weren't worth much of a damn. But together they'd been able to just kind of book it from New York across the country. They'd pretty much done their level best to avoid any encounter that would have slowed them down. But, that didn't really do much to quell her deep set wanderlust. So, she had taken advantage of the Safe Zone's waypoint tech. And now, here she was. Sailing atop a smooth road of pure white light, astride a relatively powerful looking motorcycle. Of course, there was a dirt road just beneath the twilight road she had created. But she wasn't an idiot. That charming little dirt path hid what would be a truly rough ride that would ruin the idyllic look that England had going on for itself in it's 'in between' zone. This was the kind of life she had loved. Going where the wind took her, beheld to no one. Was it perfect? No. For one, this wasn't a true vehicle. Not really. Sure, the speedometer claimed she was going eighty, but she knew better. The details of her class's core ability had been all too explicit in making it clear that she wouldn't be getting the kind of speed or size she was used to until she started pumping her 'stats' up in certain areas. It was a bit irritating being locked into small sizes. But, at least they tended to be pretty maneuverable. For now, she was keeping her eye out. The whole point of coming out to England had been that it's general area was a little more forgiving than the US's. That meant that there would be one of two things out here: Either monsters of a sufficiently low level, or other people. Right now, either option sounded good to Serafina. While she enjoyed being able to drive, there was only so much progress that could be made by just sailing down the open road this time. ISHY of THQ & ADOXOGRAPHY

ell. That was certainly quick. It hadn't even been a full minute before Serafina found herself watching as a second person just..sort of appeared. The air around where they had popped into reality had sort of shimmered for a moment before dropping them off. She didn't say anything, just yet. She'd needed a minute or two to adjust to suddenly being displaced halfway across the country. At least, if they were in the city she thought they were in. However, that didn't mean she would remain silent when the other woman--who introduced herself as Rowan--finally spoke up to her. Yeah, it's definitely looking like it. I didn't see any stairs or locked doors up here. So the only way down is, well. Down." She said, affirming Rowan's suspicions as she looked over to the edge. If they were getting a third person, they needed to hurry up and appear. Still, she wouldn't be so rude as to not introduce herself when a name was offered up like that. "Nice to meet you. I'm Serafina. Shorten it however you like, but do shorten it. Not even the cops can call me by my full name." She said as she raised her arms over her head. It was certainly interesting listening to her. She looked like someone you'd find chilling by some chunky car at a middle-of-nowhere gas station before everything changed. And yet? That accent was all too easy to place. She was definitely from the states. One of the southern ones, to be specific. However, the pair wouldn't be left to pleasantries for very long. The telltale pinging noise of a filled party filled their ears as the telltale shimmer of air began to appear near the back of the building's rooftop. And..well. Hoh boy. To call her 'big' was an understatement. She stood well over the both of them. Sera could feel her cheeks flush as she watched the new arrival jump right into exercises. Well. She was clearly a very..cut figure, to say the least. Sure, Serafina was no slouch when it came to physical fitness. She needed to be able to withstand potentially pushing a dead car for miles on end, after all. However, it seemed that their final arrival was definitely far more of a high energy sort. That brought an earnest smile to Serafina's face as well, especially when she was asked what kind of choices she got. Good, that meant they were jumping right into things. If these two had gotten to talking, she was sure she'd probably have just tried to up and go on her own. She didn't like where they were at by any means, after all. "Well, there were some interesting names on my little scorecard. I'll take the liberty of assumin' that Sky Devil is what the one you picked is called. Goin' with that, I suppose that means I could be called the Twilight Rider. And supposin' that the little menus that popped up weren't lying, I should be able to do.." She said, taking a moment to picture a method of transportation in her head. Truth be told, she had assumed the first thing that was going to pop into her mind was her trusty van. The thing she'd spent much of her adult life travelling and sleeping in. Yet, that wasn't the case. As she reached out to her side, her hand wound up curling around the handlebar of a low riding motorcycle, colored in the warm hues of twilight. So, not her car. Disappointing, in a way. But, it was still fine by her. A massive grin began to spread across her face as she mounted the bike. It felt every bit as real as anything around her, in spite of the fact that she had willed it to appear, the appearance itself being heralded by the silhouette of the vehicle shaping out of pure twilight before it had shattered away to reveal the vehicle underneath when her hand touched it. Still, she had to be sure. Without saying another word, Serafina kicked down..and felt that grin turn from modest, to full blown manic as she not only heard, but felt that engine kick to life. "Oh fuck yes." She purred as she looked back over to the new arrival. "This. Supposedly I can make a road appear anywhere I wanna ride, too. S'one hell of a gift. What about you, Rowan?" She asked, glancing over her shoulder at the previous arrival. The other blonde hadn't explained what kind of ability the title 'Sky Devil' gave her. But it was probably safe to assume that it was meant to give some degree of aerial superiority. That meant that two of them had the mobility they needed. But what about the third? She could give one extra person a ride if she absolutely needed to...but would someone without the same level of mobility really be thrown into a challenge that was seemingly so stacked against them by default? They wouldn't be, right? ISHY of THQ & ADOXOGRAPHY

he shouldn't have touched that screen. She had learned better in her literal decades of driving. You didn't focus on anything other than your speed and the road. And yet, that damn screen had popped up right in her face. Serafina wracked her brain as she tried to remember what had popped up... [break] Seven Months Ago [break] It was crazy. She'd been partaking in driving and Nomad culture for nearly the entirety of her adult life, and yet there was one rite of passage she had never even considered trying to tackle: Driving Route 66. She had the willpower to tackle a cross country trip, she already knew that much. So the fact that she hadn't done it yet was unthinkable, especially to some of the people she'd been 'convoying' with just a few months back. Serafina had one arm resting out the window of her car, the other gripping the wheel firmly as she sailed down the open road at eighty five miles per hour. This was the life she was comfortable with. Her, the open road, and the powerful machine that took her where she needed to go. The constant changes in sights and sounds were what kept her going, rather than some nine to five job. This car of hers was one reliable old bitch, too. So when the crystal clear radio signal took a sudden, sharp turn into garbled static? Her brow furrowed. She glanced over to the radio quickly, smacking the thing with the flat underside of her fist. Sometimes it dropped signal, and a few good whacks brought it back. But when her eyes went back up to the road, something new filled her view. [break] The thing that had popped up in front of her was a transparent pane of...something. It looked like something you'd see in a game, save for the fact that it had a warm, almost evening glow to it. Thanks to her mother, she was a quick reader. The statement was simple. [break] "Congratulations, you have been chosen by The System! The System has offered you the following class options: [break] 1) Tribe Transient 2) Roadrunner 3) Twilight Traveler [break] Please confirm your selection! This selection is permanent, and cannot be remade!" [break] Without thinking, Serafina waved her hand back and forth. She was seeing things. It was getting late, after all. She was likely just..ok, no. There was something there. Her hand had slipped through the panel, and she felt an electric tingle shoot up her arm until she pulled it back. With that in mind, Serafina pulled over. She tapped at the edges around the decision box, watching them ripple. Alright..either she was already asleep, or something strange was happening. After thinking for a second, she pressed her finger to the last one.. [break] And that was the last thing she remembered. After that, it was just black, for a long time. Now, she was here. She hadn't been able to see at first. It was incredibly bright, but when her eyes adjusted, her vision was filled with a rapid fire selection of menus that explained what her choice had given her. It was..interesting to say the least. But that wasn't what caught her attention. What caught her attention was how...cold she was. That was when it hit. The air was thin. The breeze was freezing. She was on top of a building. She walked over to the ledge..and saw something she wished she never would have seen. Streets flooded everywhere, water as far as the eye could see. And the building she was on? It was leaning. Backwards. However, she could make something interesting out. There were in fact buildings dotting a path from the bottom of this building--or at least the bottom of what was above water still--to a large square on the other side. [break] Please Wait. Matchmaking is in Progress. Current Party Size: 1/3 [break] A voice droned that statement on and on, ad nauseum. She really hoped that whatever--or whoever--she was waiting on wouldn't be long. OBJECTIVES: [break] 1) Successfully Cross from The Starting Point to The Finish Line without touching the ground or water! [break] 2)Defeat Any Monsters in the Way! ISHY of THQ & ADOXOGRAPHY

[Nomad] [Connection] [Supportive,Mobility,Family] [break][break] All it can take is one instance. One exposure to an idealized lifestyle. In that moment, the entire trajectory of a person's life can change forever, sending them on a path with a myriad of unintended consequences. In Serafina's case, this was introduced to her through the concept of Biker Culture. The subset of the nomadic lifestyle that her father belonged to in his youth. After that day, a spark ignited in the young woman. Stories that once held no interest in her suddenly became a subject of near obsession. From spaghetti westerns to stories of nameless ronin. From the horseback warriors of history to the road warriors of dystopian and cyberpunk fiction. The idea of life out there in the open, natural world was appealing, but not just to her. Nomadism had become a rapidly growing phenomenon throughout her homeland, with other countries even beginning to warm up to the idea before The Awakening. These individuals were all incredibly skilled behind a wheel, able to make their way through even the roughest of terrain. Many were natural born navigators. Others just happened to be stubborn enough to pit themselves and their vehicle against the road. Just like the stories go, Nomads didn't tend to settle for a family they were born in. They made a collective, found family amongst their numbers. A community that could--in theory--be found anywhere you wished to go. A family with a penchant for extremely varied skills and talents among each individual. Many wrapped themselves in that community, using it as an armor. Others found themselves interacting for only tangential moments at a time. But one thing was to be certain: No one nomad was ever truly alone. They were all connected in one way or another. Maybe that's why they always seemed so happy. [break][break]

Who truly knows where these roads lead?
STAT BONUS +5 SPD, -5 PWR[break][break]
PASSIVE: Never-Ending Road You create a stretch of road for your method of transportation to go wherever you desire. It is a small thin translucent platform that glows the colors you desire, and it can reach up to your [VIT] x 2 (ft) in terms of height and length, however, its width is always only 10 feet wider than your method of transportation, this stretch of road only maintains its form for 1 post and only for 20 feet around you, but a new stretch of road may be created once per post. It is equal to your [DEF] In durability and is capable of hovering, off the ground up to equal to your [MAGI] divided by 5 in height (ft).[break]
Upgrades at [VIT] Rank A. [break][break]
core [break]
The Twilight Traveler is one who drives the never-ending roads of the universe around them, going wherever they desire, and wherever fate takes them. Taking whoever they deem worthy with them for a ride among the cosmos. You can create a method of transportation no more significant than your [MAGI] divided by 5 in size (ft) to a max of 30 feet in diameter. This method of transport can be any object of transportation you desire (such as motorcycles, bikes, skateboards, rollerblades, boats), though it does not have sentience but can mimic beings that do (such as horses, or elephants), and moves according to your will. This method of transportation will always be able to seat you comfortably and a number of additional occupants equal to your [WIL] divided by 10. [break]Your method of transportation moves via magic to propel it at your [SPD] +1 Rank and is equal to your [DEF] +1 Rank in durability. If destroyed you take damage equal to your [WIL] -1 Rank, and a new method of transportation may be created after a 1 post cooldown. You may destroy your method of transportation at will. This, however, will not cause damage, however, a new method of transportation will take a 2-post cooldown. This method of transportation can deal [basic] melee damage equal to your [MAGI] -1 Rank once per turn. [break] Core upgrades at [MAGI] Rank S.
[break][break] [break]
Furious Gathering: You create a number of identical copies of your method of transportation equal to the number of projectiles you can throw at your [SPD]. These identical copies are controlled by your willpower or an occupant you allow. Each method of transportation may only deal damage to the same target twice per turn. The ability lasts for 2 posts. This ability has a five (5) post-cool-down. [break] Upgrades at [SPD] Rank A. [break][break]

+Tinkering: Always looking for something to do with her hands, Serafina can be more often than not be caught working on little things like fixing old little trinkets or even making whole new ones.[break][break]
+Peaches: Perhaps her favorite fruit in the entire world. She always claims that there's nothing more refreshing than the taste of a ripe peach.[break][break]
+Cars and Motorcycles: The single most romanticized thing back when she was growing up. Cars and Motorcycles were both considered these vessels and symbols of freedom. As a result, Sera has been enraptured with these things as well as Nomad Culture since she was small.[break][break]
+Horses: An offshoot of Sera's infatuation with Nomad Culture, she has come to appreciate and care for Horses and all animals like them, appreciating them for their own unique capabilities and contributions to the Nomads of the past.[break][break]
+Sweet Tea: While she has managed to fully ditch the accent, there are certain parts of her upbringing that she hasn't been able to fully shake off yet. Serafina simply cannot bring herself to drink tea that has not had some kind of hefty artificial boost to its sweetness.

-Staying Still: Be it sitting in one place for a long period of time, or even as extreme as living in one place for too long, Serafina's love of all things Nomadic has built her up into someone who quite frankly hates to be sedentary.[break][break]
-Cigarettes: While smoking is just as romanticized as anything else, Sera doesn't look at smoking through the same kind of rose tinted glasses. If someone is smoking near her, they will be asked politely to stop only once. After that, she "cannot be held responsible for her actions"[break][break]
-Winter: Between the cold and the snow being extremely rare where she grew up, and the fact that it just makes travelling that much harder, Serafina is definitely no fan of the winter season.[break][break]
-System Feature - Vehicle Lock: Thanks to the System, Serafina's love for vehicles and most modern day technology revolving around them is stuck at a strictly theoretical level. This is something she's admittedly rather irritated by, but there's not really an easy way around it. So she's been stuck dealing with it.[break][break]
-Spring: Her home region's 'winter' equivalent. When the word spring is mentioned, Serafina's first thoughts are extremely heavy instances of rain, followed by flooding. Not a pleasant thought.

All it can take is one instance. Before that day, the pair weren't on very good terms. But as the years passed, they eventually became thick as thieves, even to the point of defending her decision to live the Nomadic lifestyle that intrigued her so to her mother.[break][break]
I am going away for a while...
That was that. The arguing was shut down, and Serafina left her home. But there was a tacit understanding beneath it all. She could leave. But if she did, she had better never come back. Truth be told, it was fine with her. Her mother had always been mortified that her 'baby girl' held more interest in things that would be considered masculine, instead of wanting to be the perfect 'popular girl' archetype that she could live vicariously through. She packed her bags and left at the ripe young age of eighteen. For the next few years, she was just another nomad in the sea of 'vagrants' that lived just barely within the systems of old. She had even found a good way to keep money flowing: She took up repairs for not only her fellow nomads, but anyone who was in a bind. It was cheaper than going to a business for it, and it didn't set back any insurance claims.[break][break]
But I'll be back, don't try and follow me...
Cut to five years later, and Serafina had managed to become a rather well respected name in the game of repair and restoration, only ever charging just enough to keep herself afloat while continuing to travel cross-country. She had learned a fair bit about herself in the meanwhile, and was really starting to get the hang of it. She was finally starting to cross the threshold of standard of living improvements that would make her life reflect that romanticized ideal she had grown up on. But then, the Light struck. Before she even knew what was going on, everything she once knew was whisked away from her in an instant..
