Los Angeles, USA. A place that Balthazar would never have imagined visiting in the past. Especially now, what with the world having changed to such a degree. Honestly, Balthazar hadn't even thought that he would successfully bypass that tutorial that he had gone through. For a lack of better words, it was hell. He had damn near lost his life... But that's all in the past now. At least he was here now.

"Alright.. So it's real. It's all real and you're really here. Somehow the world has changed and now you might have a chance to get them back. So what should you do?? Get stronger. It's the only way to survive this hellscape." While he might have seemed a bit crazy at the moment, that's just how it was. Focusing on himself was all that there really was left for him. And as weird as that was, that had included talking to himself at times. "So how should I get started??"

Unsure of what to do at the moment, Balthazar had decided to meander about the streets. He had been hoping to come across someone that could teach him the ways of this world or a better way to improve his own strength. Throughout this wandering, Balthazar would come across some kind of traffic cop. The most peculiar thing about this person though?? The fact that they had an exclamation point lingering overhead.

Figuring that if anyone could help him with getting a few answers, Balthazar would approach this individual. Upon doing so, the traffic cop would turn towards him and say, "Jiminy Crickets, how do these guys keep coming back? We just shooed them out of her last week. Yo, I’ve got too many other things on my plate. Mind going and scaring off these trolls so that people can get by safely? They shouldn’t need to much to spook. A loud noise, flashy lights, maybe something even stinky.” Figuring that this was some kind of quest, Balthazar would idly scratch his head. "This would be easier if I had a partner or something."

Kai had finally reached it the west coast he kept his eyes peeled as the man had not been a stranger to trouble as he went across the states on a trip from hell as he was still a tad under leveled as he was still a fresh blood in this horrible world of monsters and monsters in human form. The heat in this zone was quite humid and the man wasn't sure that he was really so excited anymore as the man made his way to see if he could find any info or leads on the woman that he is hunting down as to this point he had still came up with nothing and no one had seen her. There was a loud commotion coming from farther into the city it hadn't sounded life threatening but Kai still had to go. Upon reaching the area that was seemingly getting worked up and in an uproar Kai sees the problem are some simple trolls but the man had to wonder what drives the creatures of this world to appear and cause these kind of issues for the fine people. Kai ran forward toward the area with the trolls in it and he saw someone else that was in the area but was more just standing there. Kai looks to the guy or what he thinks is a guy as his red rain coat fell flat against his back as he stopped to speak to the person that was standing there. "You just going to stand there and gawk or are you going to help get rid of these things before they cause bigger issues." The man figured that if cars still worked this area might be more of a zone that has supplies that go around to the stores and other things and goods for the NPC people as Kai in the time that he has been here has barely felt the need to eat and the food he tried kind of just tasted like t.v. static. A newcomer?? And one that was acting like kind of a jerk, at that?? Well this was.. something. "It's not like I'm just standing here for my own health, y'know?? I've been deciding on whether or not to accept the quest that was presented to me. If you're that worried about it though then party up with me. Easier to take the things down together than on our own." Blunt and to the point. Of course, now that he had said that much, Balthazar was more or less going to be forced to get involved. With that having been the case, Balthazar would proceed to dig out his phone from his pocket before sending a party invite to the man beside him.

Whether the man would accept his request or not, Olliver would accept the mission from the traffic cop. He would then turn his attention about towards the individuals that they were meant to be facing. "Those of you that wish to assist, come out now." Almost as though they were answering to his call, various spirits would begin to make themselves known to the man. From the bunch, Balthazar would pick randomly. He would go on to choose the spirit of a little girl, perhaps no older then twelve. "You'll do nicely. Let's get your revenge."

It might have looked a bit worrying to those outside of his perspective. For some random man to force spirits to materialize, only to select a child, the other spirits having receded back to their own plane after having not been chosen. "If you're going to come with," he would say to the man that had just approached him, "then I suppose that it'll be best for you to know my name. I'm Balthazar. Now.. Let's clean up this mess, I suppose."

He hadn't really meant to be as cold as he was to the individual but was simply playing off of the initial vibe that the man himself had set. Not that this would affect the spirit in any way. If anything, it would seem as though the little spirit girl had been prepared to get this revenge that Balthazar had promised her. "Distract the trolls for me." He had been commanding the spirit as he had said this but it was understandable if others hadn't taken it that way. Either way, the spirit would fly forth towards one of the trolls. As she had made her way towards the beast, she would fully materialize, her appearance having been wreathed in a wild tangle of hair, its body clad in wispy rags that flutter and stream around it. It would close the distance after a bit of movement and proceed to swat out at the troll, punching with her miniscule power. As this had been happening, of course, Balthazar, would attempt to circle around the troll so as to get behind it.

It would seem that Kai had finally lit a fire under this mans ass instead of them just standing there idle. It would seem that the man sent him a party invite and Kai accepted it on the pop up that showed up in front of him as the man's mecha and himself were connected it seemed fine. Kai saw as the other man used his this world power and Kai guessed the power he had to summon mecha parts and a mecha wasn't as odd as he had first thought that it would be as this person can apparently summon a small child. "Well hopefully it wasn't for your health as you are close enough to the action for it to be bad for your health if something went wrong." Kai laughed as he ran forward to get his part started and Kai made sure to look where the man and his summon were and he tries to make sure that he is going to catch the other man or the child in his attack on them to make an opening for himself to use the new weapon he had got from someone else. "Of course I am gonna help you, My name is Kai and lets try not to get caught in the others cross fire!" He pointed his finger toward a different group of trolls and two giant mecha arms in the color of blood red were summoned forth and began giving suppressing fire with Gatling guns in that area that Kai had pointed to as the guns fired off, Kai begin moving around as the trolls were busy getting pelted by his mecha in that area. Kai made sure to keep his steps measured and even so he wouldn't end up tripping over himself if he could help it. He reached into his rain coat and he pulled out a strange looking boomerang and he pulled his arm back and tossed it at the trolls, the arc was still a bit sloppy as he had only just gotten the weapon so he still needed to get use to the motion and the weight of the weapon and wrist motion to get it to come off clean but he felt like he had put enough on it. The boomerage was seemly going to hit the trolls cleanly before returning to him. He knows that he still has a long way to go and he also thinks that he might have over done the introduction as well as he was a bit rude to this person but it was happening and Kai had wanted to act on it. As Balthazar would watch the pair of blood red guns rise up and unleash a bout of suppressing fire at the trolls, he had to admit that he had been a bit intrigued. There were innumerable classes that had been out and about in this world, from what he had learned thus far, and Kai's was one that had certainly caught his attention. The fact that he could call forth such weapons, in a world where you would need to acquire a proper gun license before making use of them, was something that Balthazar had decided to honestly just keep in mind.

In addition to the mech arms that he had called forth, it would appear as though Kai had a few other goodies stashed away within his inventory. "Damn.. I really need to get me some of these item things. They seem rather useful." This much was all that he could think to himself as he would command his spirit to unleash a blow upon the trolls once again. Thankfully he had previously had the thought to come around the trolls as well. If he hadn't then he wouldn't exactly be able to follow up with his next attack.

As the troll had begun to swat his spirit away, Balthazar would close the distance between himself and the troll. From there he would reach out and place a single hand on the back of the creature. A black necrotic spot would appear upon the trolls back as Balthazar would proceed to siphon it's very energy from the gangly being. 'Siphoning.. Siphoning.. Aspect [Monstrosity] consumed.' An interesting aspect for sure!! But how would this pan out in terms of his areas of study??

Kai not wasting time kept the suppressing fire going as he knew that he needed to at least lessen the creatures a bit as he was not sure how well he would be greeted by these troll things or if he would really be able to handle them if the other gentlemen was not able to do it. The man spun on his heel catching the returning boomerang and he noted that the other man had touched a troll and it made the troll look like they were in an aspect devoured and that was a bit worrying to Kai, had he just teamed up with a bad person to try to do a good thing? only time would be able to tell from here but that didn't mean he was going to stop fighting them here and now if he had to as there was still a lot of them and they did not seem like they were in a leaving mood. The man being a bit distracted in his thoughts hadn't realized that one had gotten behind him but as soon as he did he created a shock wave from his rain coat that toppled the troll and Kai then very harshly kicked the troll sending it scampering away holding the spot he had kicked it in. The man thinks maybe he needs to start investing in his power stat a bit more even if his class doesn't upgrade from it being the stat he invests in as this seemed like a lower mission but it felt more that he was hitting with a wet piece of paper more that he was hitting with actual attacks to do damage. He wasn't use to playing games like this but he figured that dumping his stats into the things that upgrade the powers are what you are to do, but seeing as his powers do so little without his power stat up he might need to change that. He takes aim with the indicator again and throws the boomerang making sure that he is hitting more than one target with it at a time as it only has a certain amount of times that he can throw it so the throw after he is going to have to make sure that he makes count or save for a very clutch time that it is needed. So from here it is his fist and his mecha arms to do it till the time is right to unleash one more throw of it and make the others glad that he had the boomerang and this mecha power that he had. He throws the boomerang again as it follows the path hitting a few more of the trolls that were in the path and he is glad that for now that it shows him the guideline and the distance and power he needs. Having caught the attention of the troll whose aspect he had just siphoned, Balthazar would have no choice but to call upon the spirit once more. The troll itself wasn't all that happy with what had just transpired and as such, it would swivel about and attempt to hit the man. Even as his spirit had clawed at the troll, it wasn't enough to distract the troll from it's objective. That being the case, Balthazar would find himself tossed several feet back and in great agony. The fact that he was more or less a glass cannon had been rather horrid. Sure, he could have leveled up by now, but it didn't seem like the kind of thing he should have focused on at the moment. Instead he had been holding onto his points so that he could level up at a more optimal time. Was now that time..?? No, he didn't think so. Even if this blow from the troll had hurt a ton, this wasn't the time to invest these points. Just a bit longer... That's all he needed. Just a bit more time.

Even though it hadn't quite seemed like it, the trolls were more or less starting to get worried now. Sure, they could fight off the human interlopers with little to no issue. At the same token though, these little pests that had been attacking them were a fair bit stronger than they had initially anticipated. The fact that one of the trolls life force had been siphoned was also a great cause for concern. It likely wouldn't take all that much more effort to chase off these trolls.

Kai looked over seeing as his team mate had just taken a decent amount of damage the man pulls his other hand back then slaps his wrist band and he disappears and a mech that is a by pedal 10 foot tall war machine with two arms equip with gatling guns appears in his place and Kai inside of the mecha that is now clad in his rain coat and his Boomerang is now a part of the mech as well and Kai moved the mech over to defend the man that he was helping fight the trolls as he swings his arms inside of the mech and it follows his movements and punches at the trolls and keeps them away from the injured man. Kai is hoping to give the man time to recover from the hit that he had taken and he moves around the trolls trying more to work like a bait for the trolls to only pay attention to him. "I will keep them busy for a bit you catch your breath." Kai's voice had sounded through the mech so that the other man heard him as the man keeps moving around the trolls and throwing punches to make sure any that even thought to turn their focus away as met with a stiff punch that would remind them of the threat that they are looking away from. Kai knows the mech can take a few of the hits from the trolls to buy the time the other man may need to be able to recover his footing and then maybe be able to help get this mission finished as Kai was unsure what the end goal of this mission was as he had more come into this guns blazing and had not seen the quest or had seen what that quest entailed and that was probably his mistake as he has just been making those since he had come here like how he had accidently chosen Mecha Ranger but it has been serving him well in these tape of happenings. Kai keeps the trolls busy by attacking and keeping them moving but this is starting to feel like the trolls were pulling back a little which means this mission might be coming to is natural conclusion or maybe the other man had another power that was making them be in fear of them or if they were not just getting scared of the fact that he pulled out a whole mech to deal with them. Kai knows he only had a limited amount of time to have the mech under his control he needs to make the most of it and he swings his arm across knocking the trolls off their feet to make it easier for the other mans summon to do something as they are more or less nearly defenseless and some are fleeing the area. A troll gets some clean blows on Kai's mech before he kicked it away like a football sending it flying across the area. Kai looks toward the other man and he asks in his mech voice. "Are you good? or do you need more time I think we have them on the ropes just please keep strong." He refocused on the trolls and gets ready to start firing his guns at them as he only has to wait as it is still on cool down and Kai understands that he will just have to make sure of it as soon as he can to try and end this fight but he doesn't think that he can hold on that long but he had to keep the mech out as long as he can and keep fighting though his body is feeling the strain of using it. By this point, Balthazar was smart enough to avoid getting in close range with these things. They hit hard and were likely to hit harder the stronger they got. At this point in time though, they didn't seem as though they had much fight in them. They could perhaps remain here and bring down the pair of players or they could allow for their nerves to get the best of them and run off to live another day. With one of them having been punted like a football away from the mech though, the decision had more or less been made for them.

With the spirit harassing them, and the mech kicking their asses, the trolls would decide to depart from the area at full speed. They didn't wish to remain here, to be toyed with, any longer. "I.. Guess we did it??" Balthazar couldn't be sure of what was and wasn't going on at the moment. He was still reeling a bit from the blow from earlier. Thankfully he wouldn't have to worry about it for all that long as the system would provide them with an answer. A notification screen would appear before both individuals, informing them that they had completed the mission. "At least that's done..."

Although the struggle to make it over towards Kai had been immense, Balthazar would proceed towards him. "Thanks for the assist.. You kicked ass out there. And now those damned trolls won't be able to harass anyone anymore. For the time being anyways." As unfortunate as it was, Balthazar wasn't nearly capable enough to take down a troll yet. In fact, that was a long way off. For now he would need to focus on training and leveling up. As such, he would immediately head towards the mission handler. "If you would like, we can meet up again in the future. Work together to power level or whatever..."
