It was a normal life that she was born into, born in a smaller town along country roads in Britain where a closeknit community had raised families and children as if they were one brood. Her life wasn't anything exceptional or significant, growing up among those her age where she'd get along and make friends like any young person would do. A studious thing perhaps her major point different from others, where she often would rather curl up with a good book than run around endlessly, but no less she was an active child and just as normal a teen. Life was something that continued by as mundane as ever. Her parents ran a small store, she went to school and took part in various clubs, and even got a small volunteer position among the school's libarary.[break][break]
A humble goal soon found, but one she enjoyed no less. Wanting to work as a Librarian in a more significant library, being able to help attain documents and books as well as catalogue them. Upon her graduation she'd do just that, moving to Boston to after accepting a job at one of their libraries. With promises to visit, no hard feelings, plenty of love, the young woman was off to Boston. A job, sure, but Librarian still being a far off dream. A internship among the library on a college campus was taken as well, beginning her studies to achieve her goal. A studious young girl she remained, casually social and unapologetic about putting her schooling first. A few friends retained through the years though, hard to completely dislike her or how easy it was to sway her to help her friends. She'd graduate after five years with a Masters in Library Science where her library quickly promoted her to one of the Librarian positions.[break][break]
A dream come true, and soon an offer to help her own family member's dream come true. A nephew of hers wishing to move to the city, she invited him to live with her while he found his place. It must have been "The Light" that shifted things. Something no one seemed to be able to prove but everyone remembered. It generally had no effect on people... but she should have realized that her nephew had become acting different. More anxious, more stressed, a young boy that had been energetic and positive had been crumbling down. [break][break]
Behavior that had gone dismissed and arguably unnoticed, a phase or some school stress passing it off easily. It wasn't until an attack met the news, a homemade bomb having been planted within the square near his school just as that facility was letting out, did she start to feel concern. Naturally, as his guardian, she wanted to know if he had made it out such an incident safely, yet with hours and hours waiting after work, after school, he was nowhere to be found.[break][break]
A mundane life broken for the woman, a nephew lost. Her ignorance had left him unchecked and somewhere he must have snapped, the cause of such an incident her very flesh and blood, taking his own life along with others in a tragic and terrible attack. Many police visits to her home, many long rounds of questioning... But eventually that would pass too.[break][break]
Not without its marks... She certainly blames herself. If she had been paying more attention, if she had talked to him more.
There was plenty she could have done, yet she blindly let him slip away. She bears incredible guilt and responsibility for the loss of her sister's son, the only way she had found to atone was to begin counseling sessions at the library. Not only her normal job that took up much of her time as a Librarian, but opening other sessions for youthful groups and individuals to express themselves, seek help, and perhaps find an ear or someone to care. Someone that hadn't been there for her nephew, but perhaps could be for another lost soul.[break][break]
A responsibility and care she is sure to maintain as the world flips on its side... Mundane life story is now over and a new chapter opens with a tutorial screen and menu.
