The life of Clover Bancroft begins as an English child of a second generation immigrant father and an English mother, both of whom decided they would move to America for the chance to start a new life and to provide their daughter with something new. Unfortunately for Clover, her mother would pass away very early on in her life, before she could even properly remember anything about her and with her father lost in despair as a result, Clover and her father would begin their new life in the USA in isolation from a lot of society. With her father being a very religious man, Clover found herself forced to follow in his footsteps, taking up residence in a monastery and even being home taught from there. [break][break]
Life in isolation can be incredibly draining for a child growing up. Cut off from modern technology in many regards, from social interaction and from other forms of entertainment, Clover's mind became her most powerful weapon during her upbringing. Often she would be stuck reading various religious scriptures or other such stories that put ideas and morals into her mind and in just a short few years, the girl began to convince herself that the Holy Spirit was truly flowing through her body, that God was speaking to her and giving her messages, prophecies of things to come. Whether there was a merit of truth in this or just mere coincidence, the way that Clover interpreted these signs began to manifest in the real world as events she had predicted, visions of misfortune or even just dreaming of a thunderstorm only for it to occur after she woke up.[break][break]
To Clover, God or the belief it was there guiding her became some kind of imaginary friend, her guardian angel and protector. In her mind, Clover had become a Seer and with little other people to talk to, her mind continued to create adventures and stories to follow, predictions of misfortune to come. With this new found belief in power however, Clover also developed a sense of responsibility. How could someone so close to God not wish to spready charity and well being? The longer she looked at the world, the longer she realised how sinful it really was, a rot that needed cleansing through pure actions. Therefore, the very morals that were engrained into her mind from a young age would come to play and thus the girl would approach high school with the intent to not only learn more about the world but also to change it for the better.[break][break]
