The more he stared at the glass that stood in front of him, the more Henri felt like it would be such a waste to eat it by himself - there was no way he would be able to tackle this alone; he wasn't even sure if he would like this particular combination of flavor.

Peridot golden orbs behind the glasses warily surveyed his surroundings, taking in the view and possibly finding something - or someone - that could help him solve this problem. And that was when a stranger's locks of ebony tinted with contrasting red entered his peripheral vision, his movements a string of smooth-flowing gesture that quickly captivated Henri.

He wasn't one to initiate under normal circumstances, but---

"Pardon--"

There was a lump in his throat, a normal defense mechanism for Henri - it kept him from speaking too much, lest he'd put himself in the guillotine for his crime of words.

"Would you... Like a parfait?" He swallowed, finding it better "What I meant is probably more like, well, do you want... To share a parfait?"

A completely amiable inquiry, though upon the chance of peeking at this man's features, perhaps it really was an excuse to take a closer look at a complete stranger who had piqued his interest.

Following the rhythm of his heartbeat, he moved; grabbed the dessert with him and walked over to the man's table and hovered at its side as he listened to the commentaries melodiously uttered.

Between a 'yeah, that's fine' and a 'holy shit, I didn't know that,' Henri internally processed and filtered both responses so his reply would hopefully (the keyword being hopefully) not come across as being too awkward. He slid into the seat appointed to him, silently and as swiftly as he could.

"Is that so?" Placing the glass of tall parfait on the table, he gently pushed it closer to the other from right across of him, gaze averted before he could be spotted staring for too long - though he doubted he could skirt around the stranger's observation that smoothly. "Then I hope you don't terribly mind having to be seen sharing it with me, if you will have some - even if it's just one bite. Because, if I may - I don't."

This was him being friendly; though he couldn't tell if he was testing the waters for something more.

A quiet laugh was everything Henri could muster to respond to the stranger's statement. Confidence was an attractive trait, that was for sure; and it was all he needed to look up at him as he took a spoonful of the cold treat as well. Between the scene unfolding in front of him and the balanced vanilla in his mouth, he couldn't decide which one he wanted to focus on.

"It's good."

It's good.

"I like it. I've never had the pleasure to try this type of parfaits."

He liked sweet, though the wiring in his brain told him it wasn't only the sweetness that coated the insides of his mouth that he appreciated. He took another scoop of the ice cream and its layer of cornflakes and fruit before continuing the conversation. Perhaps making sure that it didn't pause would distract him from staring again.

"Ah - well. This is actually my first time around these parts. Never been overseas before; never dreamed of it, even. I guess it's one of the things I'm silently grateful for after the funky shenanigans we were collectively thrown into."

A shared experience had got to be enough to last him for another string of topics.
