Valentine listened to Sami's words, mentally cataloging the fact that the boy also didn't have abilities that lent themselves directly offense. However, he knew some of Pori's and he also knew St. Claire's as it stood he was sure that all three of them would be able to help him benefit him greatly in their endeavors. He was nodding to Sami's words when they mentioned they had a taser, he smiled at the knowledge, a taser was better than nothing after all. Granted he knew St. Claire made for a pretty good damage dealer. Thus he mentioned, "I'm sure with my scouting and St. Claire's damage dealing we should make a pretty good team."[break][break]

Then Sami mentioned parties and stat increases, Valentine hadn't even realized the party aspect that could come into play, "that's right I nearly forgot about that," he said with a smile, his mind moving back toward more positive territory. [break][break]

"No, no, you're right. I'm comfortable exploring it but I do believe we should get some help. Just in case, besides if we're getting a guild together might as well all be in the same place. Perhaps we should get them and bring them back here so that we can plot out a course and plan of action?" Valentine said as he grabbed the map rolled it, and then placed it back into his inventory as he turned to look at Sami. It seemed a game plan was budding into fruition. [break][break]

"I feel we should assign a location in the hub first, though I would like to meet and discuss this with my brother alone first, would you mind giving us about three days?" Valentine asked, before blushing quickly hurrying to explain his reasoning, "ah it's not that I don't think we'll join, we will, it's just... We split up and agreed to meet back up then, so once we do, I'm sure we can have the conversation while doing an initial scout of another area. Afterward, well head back here." Valentine said as he scratched the back of his head with a smile. He had nearly forgotten about the current time constraint he was under. [break][break]

Valentine thought about Sami's words ultimately coming to a quick decision on the matter, "I'm absolutely fine with that, I've already met Pori, and quite frankly I still remember where she sat down roots here in Seoul, so it's only fair I show her, as for my brother well... He's my brother so I'm not too worried about anyone else knowing this place," Valentine said his eyes glancing out toward the hallway. The stench of dead bodies was finally starting to prick his nose, he had gotten used to it with how long it had been. "Hm, I should probably clean this place up a little first." He said, though from the state of the apartment it was clear that he wasn't talking about it as this place was lux and tidy, no what he was referring to was all the dead bodies littering the stairwells. "I appreciate the concern though, thank you," Valentine said to Sami, he was sincere, it had been a while since he had met someone else that took his thoughts and well-being into consideration besides family. [break][break]

"I've decided to do just that and trust you then, Sami. Thank you, for being honest. Speaking of being honest I'm the same. I'm doing this because it benefits me, it'll help keep me and my brother safe, might as well move forward with it if it's with people who are dependable and willing, smart, and willing to get stronger," Valentine said giving a nod of his head. He was happy that Sami was someone who worked for his own self-interest, people like that were easier to navigate, especially when they were honest about it. It meant that often times all they needed to know was what was in it for them as well as see some value in the person they work with. As a scout, and with Saint Claire being a DPS one that could also damage undead monsters with more effectiveness, it made them both prime pickings in a world full of monsters.[break][break]

That said Valentine found himself wondering what his brother was doing, and how he was holding up, they had rarely been separated throughout this whole ordeal, but as time went on Valentine knew them splitting up on occasion more and more was bound to happen, especially if they wanted to cover more ground.[break][break]

Valentine looked Sami up and down, and as he did, he realized that if the two of them were going to work together perhaps wearing a hospital gown wasn't the best thing to wear in a situation like this. "What's your size, we're going to have to get you some new clothes and a haircut. Can't very well have you going around in little to nothing or getting hair in your eyes during a fight," Valentine said with a smile, though he had long hair himself he was sure the same thing about hair could be said about him, if it wasn't for the fact that his hair was braided back with the sole intent of purpose of keeping it flowing behind him, it would take large gust of wind or him manually placing the hair in his face for it to actually do such. "Hm, I see," Valentine said, putting a finger to his chin. Valentine opened his inventory, he took out a roll of measurement tape. He had taken it during his tutorial, but he wasn't sure when whether or not he'd lose or gain weight. With how scarce food could be on occasion, though this was before he knew that the hub existed. The first thing was first, he had locking gel, and some hair oils but nothing too specific for Sami's texture besides some styling gel.[break][break]

Thus he simply held out the measurement tape, asking "do you mind if I take your measurements at some point then? I'll probably have to do some searching to find you something as I doubt I have anything in my inventory that's your size, but I'm sure I can cut your hair," he said, glancing toward his inventory where a pair of scissors and electronic clippers, and an apron could be found. He had to cut his and St. Claire's hair somehow, couldn't let them go around looking haggard and raggedy after all, what would their mother say if she had seen them look such a mess?[break][break]

"I feel like blacks more your color, it would be a nice contrast to your hair and eyes, much more than that gown," he said with a chuckle. Valentine had always liked fashion, he had an eye for it and often tried to dress in a uniquely fashionable way himself. He loved color, specifically things on the color wheel between blue and purple, but he also knew that sometimes what could make a person pop, what could make them stand out more was simplistic, thus a simple shade of black, maybe a pop of color or design would be all Sami needed. Besides, he figured Sami wouldn't care for anything too flashy. [break][break]

Then when he moved over to cut Sami's hair, Valentine's senses began to tingle, it was that feeling he got when someone was near as if there were eyes on the back of his head. This sixth sense was arguably one of the more crucial aspects of his class that he enjoyed, in addition to Astral projecting letting him, scout, ahead, this portion of his passive ability allowed him to know when others were in the vicinity. Though it had a range limit based on meters as opposed to his astral projection which was miles it had proved to save his hide a number of times for close calls that had popped up when he moved around monster mobs. He hopped behind the couch, "Get down, someone coming," Valentine stated tossing the things back into his inventory, ducking down behind the couch, his mind flashing to the fact that he was stupid enough to leave the door open. He would have to think of something, something in case these people were here to be... Harmful. He had already decided to trust one visitor, but more, no, that was too much for his taste in one day, there was only so much goodwill he could offer. So much he was willing to let down his guard in this fucked up world. [break][break]

Valentine nodded, taking out the tape measure as he began to take Sami's measurements, he found they were rather petite for the most, but he was happy that they were so freely willing to let someone they didn't know that well help them. Sami was right though, finding his sister was a pressing issue, so he didn't want to spend any more time than he needed to, finishing taking all the measurements, Valentine took out a pen and notepad writing them down from memory, he wrote two copies on the same sheet of papers, ripped it in half and handed Sami one copy while he kept the other. "Figured it would be best for you to actually know your clothing sizes in depth, it'll help if you ever have to get something truly form-fitting, or with the way things are nowadays armor or something." He said with a shrug, placing the piece of paper in his inventory along with the measurement tape, pen, and notepad. [break][break]

"Works for me," Valentine said, though he wondered what Sami was in the hospital for, he didn't want to pry, at least not this early on so he let the comment go, though he did speak up on the nurses, "oof, that sucks I can't believe they didn't even have a spare for you or something," Valentine said, as he diligently cut Sami's hair, smoothing down some of the back and sides with a comb as he did, he needed to create lift and volume, so he faded the hair cut upward leaving the top to be where most of the hair fell from, this would also ensure that Sami wouldn't need another hair cut for quite a while and that when it grew back it would be a hell of a lot neater. That said, Valentine grew a little envious of his hair texture, it was silky smooth and Valentine figured that Sami wasn't the person to be throwing expensive products into his hair which meant it was all natural. Finishing up, he felt the presence from down the hall, jumping behind the chair, he noticed that Sami had also moved to grab something from his inventory and took out a taser. Valentine was a little envious considering all he had on hand was the scissors in his hand. Then the people came in, Valentine heard them smashing shit, he liked some of the shit in here and these fuckers were making a mess, they were going to pay. The person moved closer to taunt Sami only to get their asses tazed, that's when Valentine stood up.[break][break]

In one fluid motion he reached back taking better aim, as he knew their standing positions thanks to his passive, but not their full scale or features, he smiled before tossing his scissors at the guy with the bat in his hand, the scissors hit their mark. Landing straight into the guy's shoulder. He screamed, dropping the bat, then Valentine activated his ability: Cross-Over. One moment he was in the physical plane, the next the digital realm as he dubbed it, a realm filled with overlays of multicolored 1's and 0's nearly identical to the one they were there were just no people inside it. Nor monsters, just environment. He leaped across the couch, ran through the apartment, and then moved three steps away from the guy without a bat. Seamlessly he switched back into the physical realm, punching the man in his jaw, knocking him unconscious. Then before the guy with that scissors sticking out of his shoulders could turn to react Valentine put him in a triangle choke hold, leaning back to put as much of his own body weight into the choke as he could to cause the guy to pass out. "Go to sleep motherfucker," he grunted putting more force into the chokehold.[break][break]

Valentine figured that now was better than never to tell Sami about his abilities, after all, at this point when he had attacked someone to keep them both safe, he figured the least he could do was trust him. Even if Sami's actions seemed to be directed by self-preservation, Valentine preferred that especially because that was the same moral guideline in which he often decided who to work with himself. All this damn world going to shit had done was further push him to display such qualities openly and without shame.[break][break]

"My class allows me to teleport... Sort of," Valentine said, scratching the back of his head as he moved to pick up the bat putting it into his inventory with quick haste just in case any of these guys were sturdier than what they appeared to be. Valentine then watched as Sami began to take the leaders outfit, the color scheme was okay, and from what Valentine could see the leader and Sami seemed to be around the same size, the outfit wasn't bad either, plus it fit the color scheme he would've liked for Sami, it was subtle, but still had a bit of its own uniqueness to it with the skull motif. Not to mention it was like a tracksuit which meant that it would be good for moving around in, allowing for freedom of movement, and would be good in city terrains like they were currently in. He had no objections to it. Valentine turned to give Sami some privacy while he changed. [break][break]

"Haha, thanks, that taser of yours is damn powerful, to think it could knock a whole grown man out with just a tap. Wow," Valentine said, perhaps this taser was designed to be used on monsters rather than people. Valentine scratched the back of his head blushing as he spoke once more, "my class planeswalker lets me enter different realms, I can astral project, as well as enter a digital realm of sorts," he said testing the waters as he let some facts about his abilities out into the open for Sami to hear.[break][break]

At this moment Valentine found he was rather okay with the way things were for Sami, it at the least meant the guy was a lot more dependable in a crisis situation and that he was either, brave, courageous, or reckless. Maybe even a combination of all 3, though Valentine had found himself straddling the lines of all three himself as everything had gone on, everything that had changed. Hell, he had powers now, just getting used to that aspect of the world around him was eye-opening. The lines that straddled what was normal and what had only began to be pushed, and Valentine knew it. [break][break]

Valentine turned back to see Sami looking much more stylish than before. Gone was the weird person in a medical gown, and now what stood in front of him looked like a more prepared person, someone who didn't stick out so much in such an odd fashion. Though Valentine thought the entire look made Sami look much more befitting of his personality, someone much more ruthless than Valentine would've given credit for. He seemed so unfazed by the whole situation. Valentine had been bullied most of his life, him and Saint Claire both, so much so that they were forced to learn martial arts to better defend themselves. He had gotten used to the idea of people being monsters, of people who would do him harm just for existing, far earlier in life than before the world went wild. [break][break]

"You've got to make do with what you've got," Valentine said with a shrug, he had known that from personal experience, hell in his tutorial he had to grab whatever weapon he could find, from a fire axe to a fire extinguisher, Valentine had managed to finish his tutorial safely, not to mention the fact that his class was useful for scouting out the potential dangers beforehand, and the biggest blessing being Saint Claire's class being extremely advantageous when combating the undead. "Yes, I thought so as well, part of the reason I clicked it, was I just thought the name was interesting, I guess. Though it was honestly I wasn't thinking much about it when I chose it," Valentine said, after all during his tutorial he had quickly chosen his class without truly thinking about it, simply swiping away on the menu clicking whatever came up first.[break][break]

"I agree, I'm sure the threats will only continue to increase," Valentine said, he knew what was going on now had to only be the beginning, he just wondered how much he could discover and accomplish before the much bigger threats arrived if he'd be able to truly face them.[break][break]

Valentine's eyes widened at the name of Sami's class, Warden sounded pretty cool, in his mind, it sounded rather powerful, and the name of his class felt rather domineering to him. "Warden, huh? Sound pretty cool. Guess that makes you rather hard to defeat, huh?" Valentine questioned with a smile. [break][break]

Valentine chuckled at Sami's mention of the taser, he chuckled slightly, before turning toward the door. Releasing that now at some point he was going to have to decide what to do with the bodies, these people knew what his base of operations was now. Valentine wondered if it would be worth it to stick around any longer, after all, he could always find another nice high-rise, probably even better. It was still early only that the world went to shit, the place would possibly still have supplies, and he had already raided this place dry.[break][break]

Though even though Valentine was thinking about moving he still went over toward the black curtains, grabbing them down and stuffing them into his inventory. "This place is known now, I don't know if those guys over there are the only members of their group, but I guess we should move to someplace better now," Valentine said, stretching slightly, moving over to grab the bat and stuffing it into his inventory. "I've already taken everything most of these apartments and this one has to offer," Valentine said, his inventory stuffed full of the clothing, sheets, pillows, silverware, money, first aid, food, and, tools he could find from all the nearby apartments, having spent an entire day astral projecting from the lowest floor to inspect each apartment thoroughly. Moving would mean it would take him a while to once again observe, scan, and trust his environment but it was for the best. They had to move regardless, thus Valentine spoke up about such. "We should get moving," he said making his way toward the door. [break][break]
