It had always been something that Wendy was interested in. She never really spoke to her parents thoroughly before outside of certain holidays, school events and when she graduated. Such was life of somebody involved in the world of medicine. Wendy understood the sacrifices needed to work in her parents' line of work, and yet, she wanted nothing more than to join them on the forefront of helping people.[break][break]

The day when her father had brought her into work during a slower day was a preview into what life was like for him. It was a certain medal of honor that very few in the world could live up to, which numerous members of her family had done, a sort of tradition that had popped up within the past few generations. This class functions off of the use of specialist upgrades known as [Cybernetics]. These are mechanical upgrades that the Nexus can apply to themselves or an ally and each one has two forms; Simple and True. Simple [Cybernetics] are temporary and are more enhancements rather than full replacements, lasting only until the end of the topic or until replaced and a person can only have one Simple [Cybernetic] at a time. True [Cybernetics] are permanent upgrades onto that character, replacing parts of the body, however these come with some form of penalty and a cost, dependent on the [Cybernetic]. A person can only have 1 True [Cybernetic] for every 2 full base ranks of [DEF] they possess(This means buffs and + ranks do not count). The cost can be paid by either the Nexus or the person being enhanced but the penalty is always suffered by the upgraded person. Only one person may be enhanced by a [Cybernetic] per round, with a three round cooldown before they can be targeted again, and True [Cybernetics] can only be granted once a topic ends.

The Surgical Nexus begins knowing 2 different [Cybernetics] and may know a maximum of 5 at a time. Any time they kill a staff-made monster they may spend 500 points(Reduced by 100 for every level multiple of 25 the monster is) to gain a new [Cybernetic], alternatively upon completing a mission they may spend 500 points(Reduced by 100 for every rank of the mission above C) to gain a new [Cybernetic]. If they currently have maximum then they may replace a known [Cybernetic] with a new one when they gain it. However every level multiple of 10 they also gain 1 free new [Cybernetic] to learn.

Lastly, the Surgical Nexus possesses two mechanical tendrils attached to the body, each round they may deal their [PWR]-2 Ranks in slashing damage to one target within 5 meters. They can do this twice or may replace one of their attacks to instead heal an ally within 5 meters for the Nexus' [VIT]-2 Ranks instead.

Synthetic Musculature: Through clever alterations and chemical enhancement of muscle strands, the body's natural strength can be innately enhanced. To go further would be to replace the muscles themselves with far more powerful synthetic versions to grant a huge increase to baseline strength.[break]
Simple: Chemical enhancements allow the enhanced individual to increase the damage of one attack they make by one rank. Once this boost is granted they must wait 2 rounds before they can use it again.[break]
True: Surgery allows the muscle strands to be replaced by synthetic fibers capable of storing and releasing vast amounts of kinetic energy. This costs 1 [Material] and 250 Points to apply and once applied it allows the individual to increase their [PWR] by 1 rank while they are in combat, at the cost of reducing their [SPD] by 1 Rank. This also grants them an additional attack they can make once per post dealing their [PWR]-2 Ranks in bludgeoning damage.[break][break]
Vital Force Generator: Alterations to the circulatory system and chemical enhancements of the blood and veins allow for a greater amount of oxygen and energy to be transferred around the body, enhancing natural rates of recovery and enabling a combatant to fight far beyond normal human limits.[break]
Simple: Chemical alterations increase the amount of oxygen in the body and help remove pollutants, granting greater energy. While this is active and in combat, the enhanced individual can choose one ability or core effect they have and reduce its cooldown by 1 round for the duration of the topic, this cannot make the ability or core effect have no cooldown at all.[break]
True: A full surgical replacement and enhancement of the heart and circulatory system has ensured the body can sustain itself far past any normal limit of stamina even in this new world. This costs 300 Points to apply and once applied it grants the wielder a constant [Regeneration] status equal to their [VIT]-3 Ranks and once per thread they may immediately cause an ability to finish its cooldown. However this comes at a great cost to the body causing any debuff or status effect the wearer is put under to last for one round longer than usual.

The Surgical Nexus can massively enhance any augmentations that they have placed on an individual, enabling them to fight at a dangerous level for a short period of time. When this is activated, the targeted individual counts their Simple [Cybernetic] as a True [Cybernetic] for three rounds, however they do not suffer the downsides. When this wears off the individual cannot have another [Cybernetic] applied to them for the duration of the topic.
