Harry walked along the beach in slow strides with his zombie companion stumbling gait shadowing him, ever vigilant for threats that may accost the pair. As the doctor's shoes sunk into the shallow dry sand, Harry's head turned to scan the surroundings. With eyelids strung wide, he surveyed the strange new environment with a childlike wanderlust. Harry thought about how much of a contrast the white sandy shores of Miami were to the grey smooth-stoned beaches of Great Britain.
It hadn't been more than a week since he completed his tutorial in that wretched pool complex, yet something drove him to explore out into this brand new world. When a mission popped up on his virtual display, inviting him to Nadir Beach, Harry's curiosity got the better of him. Although he hadn't yet fully grasped the strange systems and rules that now hold dominion over his life, Harry knew the best way to learn was to engage with it; like a child learning how to walk or tie their shoelaces.
As the two scurred over the sandy shores, Harry could see a decrepit pier in the distance, seeming put together with scrap material and a clear lack of engineering knowledge. He stood there for a moment, staring at the horrible craftsmanship of the structure, hoping this was the place he was looking for.

Noelle was getting pretty sick of sitting in her room, but she wasn't a fan of public beaches either. She hated that people just willingly flaunted their skin in such a flagrant display. It was disturbing to the closeted enby girl. However, she wouldn't let that ruin her walk on the boardwalk, gloomy as the would-be angel of misery was Noelle could still enjoy things. She just happened to enjoy the fog banks of the Forgotten Mists. Something that she believed she was alone on specifically.

It would seem the one thing that could ruin her mood truly was calling her though, and as she groaned Noelle found herself accepting the summons of her skill and the system. Stepping forward as they would push out a rather dark rain, the scent closer to rain on asphalt then normal as her fouler-then-normal mood was projected out onto the world. Looking around she would spot a crawler and a man walking with the crawler - probably some undead or necromancer class - gross - but she could tell that he was why she got called here and her environment grew shadier as she looked like an angel projecting out of a dark shadow, "Noelle, at your service I take it. Mind telling me what the hell it is exactly we're supposed to be doing? I don't really get an option for information before I get shunted to help people."

The skies seemingly darkened as a thick cumulus cloud blotted the sun's rays, leaving the silver haired man standing in a shadow. He gazed at the sky for a moment and adjusted his white lab coat, hoping it wasn't about to start to raining on his parade. It was a strange occurrence, seeing the lone cloud raining gently in isolation to the still bright sunny beach surrounding it. As his eye's followed the clouds path, he noticed a small girl standing amongst the falling drops and slowly approaching him.
It didn't take long before the rain cascaded over his body, enveloping him as the girl continued to make her way to him. His mind processed the visual information of the rain and yet his body couldn't feel it, as if it was some sort of illusion or trickery. He sighed in relief, knowing his garments weren't getting wet then looked at the girl. She seemed sad or wallowing in misery, it was hard to discern immediately.
"Dr. Mortfield.." he nodded. "It's a pleasure to be acquainted, Noelle". Harry added.
Harry could tell from her sheer presence that she was a much higher level then himself. The intensity of her being felt like a weighted surge of water, causing the man to gulp. As she inquired about their purpose, Harry reached out and pointed towards the pier and from what he could see was a beer-bellied goblin sitting atop a stack of wooden crates while shoving it's face full of candy. "I believe that's the target... that goblin..." He said. His mind cringed with the purpose of it's targeting which he continued to divulge "It's been stealing candy and hoarding it... apparently becoming quite the menace around here.. I'm surprised Diabetes hasn't killed it yet"
The zombie behind Harry groaned and shambled in front of Harry as if getting ready to attack the goblin.

A sugar goblin... this sounded like a bad set up for a pun. She was not sure what the pun was going to be, but she was certain it was horrible. She was pushing already to just be over with this, particularly before the Martians started to appear. As she looked over to the creature she knew exactly how to speed it down a notch, but it was going to be a bit costly all things considered. Since she didn't know Harry's damage capabilities she was likely going to be acting as frontline and damage for the two. Especially since she just did not trust the zombie to be useful.

Turning to Harry Noelle would send him a party invitation before she spoke, "You would think, but this new world is... strange. I think we're both better suited if we get this over with though, so here's the plan. I'm going to slow him to a ridiculous degree and wail in on it, I am going to ask you to back me up however you think you can."

All the warning she would give before Noelle turned, an [Echo] spawning beside Harry as Noelle twisted her umbrella in the direction of the goblin, filling it with [Sadness]. Its defense rising in place of speed, but the shackles of her passives already wrapping themselves around the goblin. As it rose Noelle flipped it off before cracking her neck. Waiting for it to get closer as she moved a little over 3 meters from Harry and activated her full plethora of attacks. [Purple Rainstorm] activating alongside a sudden expansion of a bubble of Monochrome and tangibly oppressive sorrow and guilt weighing the area. A bolt of lightning and... it was still alive. Fascinating, and curse worthy as she lucky succeeded in applying sorrow to the poor beast.[break]

Another strange menu UI popped up in his peripheral vision, Harry causally glanced at it to see a party invitation. It was the first time he saw such a request, and was surprised by the mechanic. He wouldn't think to deeply into it, not wanting to bother the girl with unnecessary questions. He slowly raised his hand to the holographic screen and clicked accept. The moment his finger pressed it, a soft green glow encompassed Noelle body before fading.
The surprise on Harry's face was evident as Noelle confidently came up with a plan. It was clear she was comfortable in this world, possibly having been an 'original' load. "That sounds like a good idea. I'm still only level one and not quite sure how to best use my class." Harry muttered in reply.
Watching the young girl take the initiative, Harry's eyes widened in shock as she created an echo of herself. As he continued to observe her attack, Harry was amazed by her skill and grace, despite the sheer volume of attacks being sent towards their foe.
As the lightning bolt explosion cleared, revealing the still living goblin, Harry clenched his fists, causing his knuckles to turn white. The goblin glared under his brow at Noelle before suddenly jumping back to his feet and beginning a strange sugar rush fueled dance. Harry realized the sugar fiend was preparing to attack the girl, so he rushed forward and pushed his zombie at the goblin. The zombie slammed into the monster, causing them both to fall to the ground. With gnashing teeth and sharp claws, the undead ripped and tore into the green flesh.
