Once upon a time, there lived a big, red dragon. One day, he grew tired of his tall tower and decided to fly out into the wide world. With each beat of his colossal wings, he soared over rugged mountains and vast oceans, discovering lands he had only dreamed of from his solitary perch. As it came time to return home, he could not bring himself to do so. The big red dragon had fallen in love with a princess from a faraway land.[break][break]
However, that love could not be! The people of the kingdom feared the big red dragon. They feared his fiery breath, his giant wings and his monstrous tail. How sorrowful, for the princess had loved him too. He did not know what to do - he cursed his birth as a dragon. But alas, he was proud, of his fiery breath, of his giant wings and of his monstrous tail! With a heavy heart, the big red dragon...[break][break]
That is as much of the story as Cordelia can recite. It pains her - if she paid more attention as a child, she'd have known the ending of the tale. She'd never have forgotten.
