Mission infoRojin had gotten the mission from the system and grumbled about it, seemed some animals were loose in the ruined city streets, and now someone had to do something about it, and so here he was as the task was foisted upon him, and so he was going to do the job he was assigned to do, just because he didn't like it that didn't mean he wasn't going to at least make sure the job was done right. Though one thing The old man had noticed was that he was starting to feel like someone was following him. He would casually check in the direction he felt the gaze now and again by taking the time to pick up some scrap and the like for later use, at least that's how he made it look, and through that he was sure he had caught sight of at least three people following him. Well he could deal with it later he had a job to do, and as he walked along he entered the mission area. As he did so he seen the prompt come up and he had to deal with at least five lions and he smirked a bit, so specifically the males then? Made sense since without them the females wouldn't stick around, though he would have to go through female Lions to get to them and so he continued walking along knowing he would likely be found by them rather then him finding them, and so he simply walked around to find the targets of his mission.

As he walked along He was keeping track of the people following him, but also keeping his eyes open for the targets of his mission, and as he turned a corner he actually stumbled upon a group of Lioness and a lion with them, Well here it was the first target, and so he walked towards them, and oddly enough the beasts started to back away from him "Oh what's this? your aware hmm?" he asked as he walked forward, the Lioness parted and the lion that was leading them walked forward roaring to try intimidating Rojin but Rojin only laughed.
He then raised a hand the Lion charged at him, leaping at him and Rojin used his arm to catch the lions mouth as it bit down, and it sounded more like teeth grinding against metal as the old man, smirked as he managed to stay on his feet, "not as strong as I thought you would be... Stats really are quite the difference in this world aren't they?" he said as he checked and it seemed the people that were following him were not in sight yet as they seemed to be staying at a large distance.
Going unviewed then Rojin lifted his arm and punched through the Lion killing it and he tossed it into the ruins out of sight, and the lioness' backed off and ran off clearly not willing to fight him, "So much for your pride..." he said as he quickly made a small grave for the Lion, unlike people he did like animals, but he had a job to do and so he started walking again to look for more of the mission targets.

As he turned the another corner he felt that feeling of being watched again, but he was aware they were there, but they didn't seem to know he knew, but why was he being followed? That's what he wanted to know, but with three maybe more, people doing so if he were to turn and confront them he may catch one, but the other two would likely report to whoever they worked for if they worked for anyone higher up, and then they would send better people most likely, at least that's what Rojin himself would do.
Better to pretend he doesn't know of them and to keep the less trained tails rather then get better ones, especially since he was able to briefly lose these guys and do his work if he had to, but it meant being smarter on what he was doing now. Unfortunately He wasn't very lucky when it came to the Lions as the next group walked out from between some buildings, farther ahead.
The Lions noticed him, and Rojin still felt the eyes on him luckily he seen an entrance to the ruined building to his left and the lions this time were not close enough to consider him to much of a threat, but more like a possible meal, and they started to come towards him, well time to act weak and scared then.. and so he took a step back and looked around as if in panic before he bolted toward the building to his left, this was for two reasons of course, to get out of line of sight of the people watching him, and running away caused the pride of lions to chase after him rather then see if he was a threat or not.
Rushing into the building though not going to fast, only fast enough to get there just a head of the lions, giving him time to get deeper in the building, Rojin rushed in further to make sure he couldn't be seen from outside, then he turned around as the Lions finally caught up. that's when the fight began.. well more a slaughter as they attacked him but they simply could not harm him. "not fair is it?... this system seems designed to make the strong far surpass the weak, oh I am sure there are ways to do that kind of fighting uphill, but it sadly doesn't seem to be something animals are capable of considering.." he mused as he used his ability to suddenly dash forward towards the male lion that was his target and kill it, the lioness' didn't disperse this time though instead they attacked again "Strange?" Rojin said as he weathered this new rush of attacks.
Then he spotted it, a second larger lion "Ah that explains that" he muttered as he moved towards the second lion who then rushed him and that ended about as well as one would expect considering the stat advantage Rojin had over these creatures, and with the death of the second lion, then the lioness' turned to flee and Rojin did the same, not going out the way he came in, but rushing to the other side of the building, and then before he got there he slowed his run and made himself act and move more like an old man would as he slipped out of a low window and into the street, and once more he felt eyes on him as he rest there on hands and knees "Yes... they are watching and likely covered the building from the three other angles as best they could I would assume... they know to do that much at least but not enough to realize they are spotted.. but why follow an old man?" he mumbled to himself before he slowly got to his feet and started to walk again checking behind him to the building he just 'escaped' not to long ago just to make it look like he expected the lions to come after him, though he knew well enough that they wouldn't

Continuing to walk along, he felt those eyes still on him and he still was wondering why they were watching him, that was the major question, perhaps they were survivors of those people he killed when he had to job to release their prisoners? But if that was the case they likely would have just attacked him since they didn't seem like the more intelligent types when he fought that group, they were more concerned in instant gain, or in having others do the real work for them.. people like that wouldn't be this patient.
Could it be people from one of those guilds that decided they would be the new police force? It was possible but then what had he done to gain their attention? Then he remembered that fool from that time who challenged the one person watching them there was no way they had taken that seriously right? He had to operate on the assumption that might be the case. There was also the chance it was some other non-affiliated group of jack-asses that decided to try the whole robbing people shtick and they were being smart about it by not attacking their target right away and seeing if they could actually fight or not.
Walking along Rojin then picked up a few more bits of scrap, he made sure it was all the same kind, wood scrap he could find, he knew there was a mission to look for that stuff and it brought in rewards that could be used for basic living so if he made it look like he was doing that job it would make things a bit easier towards deceiving them and why he would run from the lions, even while he hunted them, though granted he only had at least two more to deal with.

The only thing about being watched was the fact that Rojin was well aware of them watching him, but then again that also meant there was a chance he had been watched before by people he didn't notice, slim granted but the chance was there, and again the same question.. why? He tried to think of reasons why he would be followed and watched but any interactions in public were quite simple and usually just him buying things and simply walking off.
Could it have been the people he saved from that group having seen what he did and told people? No that wouldn't make sense.. why then have people follow him secretly? Then again he had simply let people free to slaughter the ones that captured them.. but at the same time he gave no indication he was very strong... except when he killed the leader rather easily... okay so taking that into account.. then again strong against one opponent didn't mean strong against an army so that wouldn't make sense... HE continued to ponder as he walked around the corner of a building once more breaking line of sight and literally bumped into another lone lion.
The lion of course lashed out at him, and did nothing to Rojin, then the old man lifted his arm and smashed the Lions head in before tossing it into the building before blood could leak out of it's head, leaving the area he was walking clean, that was a fourth and he had one left, likely that was one looking for a pride to be the leader of, well there were a lot of male less lioness' now so likely any looking for prides or to make one would find them, his task was to kill five of the lions to reduce numbers and wandering for now, and so she continued on and he felt the eyes find him once more.

Rojin continued his little trek picking up wood scrap to keep up his ruse, and making sure to break line of sight now and again as if he was simply looking around without going into any of the buildings if he could help it, as far as anyone watching was concerned he looked like an old man trying to make some sort of living, he even showed himself running from the lions, acting scared was rather funny to him but he didn't know what the people watching him wanted all he knew was he didn't want to give much if anything away.
Unknown people watching you from the shadows? Best to keep your abilities and strength hidden as much as possible, Regardless Rojin had a job to do and he wanted to finish it and head for the waygate to get out of here, that should remove the eyes for the time being as there would be many places he could go with the waypoint and with only three people following he could hopefully lose them, he caught glimpses of them before so he had an Idea what they were wearing and what they looked like so he could also hide near the way gate or just sit near it as they sometimes had markets near them, and he could see if one of them follow after, they would be hard pressed to continue to follow him, but they could use that messaging system to let the others know where he was if they were in a party or in a guild.
Turning another corner he spotted more lions but worse yet this turn didn't break line of sight and the lions had noticed him, the buildings couldn't be entered into easily ether, he grumbled to himself and then started to run the opposite direction of the lions making sure not to run to fast, but fast enough to to make it easy for the lions to catch him easily, he knew a good spot to break line of sight but he needed to get thereon his own feet, thankfully there was a lot of terrain he could use to buy time, and do so he did as he clambered over steep rubble which the lions had trouble with but they still followed.
He even tripped and fell down the other side, or pretended to, this allowed the lions to catch up just a bit, and still he ran, getting to the area he looked around in panic, fake panic, and seen the building he was looking for, well he knew it was there, and he ran for it making it seem like he was on his last legs, he had plans on how to perhaps trick his onlookers, after all why would he go to building ruins with no power right?
As soon as he touched the shadow of the ruins he used his ability to speed up, suddenly dashing a decent distant, he then waited a moment before taking out his mace, keeping it hidden against his body, and he used the dash from that to gain more distance, before putting it away and ending the second dash with a faked stumble as he threw the door open and rushed inside out of sight. once inside and out of sight he smirked a bit "Well that should make them think my class has something to do with buildings, or shadows.. regardless I didn't turn to fight so they may think I am non-combat or have little to no combat ability... now then.."
He found a nice place and waited, the lions were not that far behind and as they rushed in he heard a gunshot, and from where he could see one of the Lioness' fell dead to the ground "A sniper.. and I think I convinced them that the poor old man needed help" he smirked "Or a second party that is not affiliated with the first after all there could be another group out here.. regardless..." the shot had made the lions race into the building faster out of fear of the sound and that suited Rojin just fine as he swiftly targeted the lion in the group and killed it, achieving his mission. But now? now he had an Idea.
The lions all started to scatter somewhat, but Rojin ran along them, they were to busy running to really pay attention to him till he gained speed and left the building far before the rest of the lioness' and once he got to a viewing angle easily seen from outside he slowed down and continued to run, thankfully the lions seemed to have gotten their spines back and where chasing him once more now, and So Rojin leaped into the open air once more and kept running at his slower pace to make it seem like he was running on fumes.
Then he heard it, two more shots, and a arrow flew by him, into the group of lioness' that took the rest of the fight out of them, and Rojin looked back and seeing them disperse he fell staggered to a raised area and climbed up slowly, faking exhaustion and weakness as he got up higher to where one could assume the lionesses couldn't reach and he looked around oh he knew where they people that let off those attacks were but he wasn't going to let them know that.
But after some time no one came out and Rojin looked around and raised a hand waving as if thankful but a fake confused look on his face, in reality he knew they were still watching in his fake confused looking around he had spotted them, clearly they were watching him, and they ether had orders to not let him die... or they where the kind of people to have a conscience and couldn't bare to see what seemed to be a scared and helpless old man get rundown by lions.
Regardless Rojin slipped off the structure he was pretending to use as a safe haven.. after taking a good long while to rest up, and he started to pick up the wooden scrap laying around once again, he already had the mission complete message from killing the lion but he kept working till he figured he had enough and looked up as if he only just got the notice he then nodded and started to make his way back to the way point
