Thankfully Jin caught the reindeer's attention as Noel couldn't take much more even after the healing from his Summoner's buff. With his buff running out he was especially grateful to have another tank in the party. He couldn't help but wonder when his Summoner would get another Husbando to fight with. Fighting with a party wasn't bad, but having to do the brunt of his Summoner's work alone was exhausting. Still, the little pink brat was worth it.

While Dalton was making space between himself and the reindeer Noel was rushing back into the fray. Despite his flaming will dampening slightly the hotheaded man swung his bat at the monster's hip in an attempt to hobble it. It may not be as slow as it was before, but the debuff was still putting in work. Doubly so once the flash from his Summoner's camera burned into the creature's side. Jin's taunt made it an easy target for the pair. “Yeah let's go! Bring this thing down,” he shouted as the feeling of his wounds healing reinvigorated him.

The struggle against their merry friend was drawing to a close as Soyeon and Noel continued to protect Dalton from harm’s way. She had wondered what it would be like to have a class that relied on other people or creatures to do everything, as it only made her concern for the pink haired boy all the more noticeable. Would he be able to fend for himself if she wasn't here? What about her own class? What if she wasn't able to protect him as a glorified recycle maiden? The mother's heart ached for seeing Dalton in such distress, enough so that she was holding her own against the foe pretty well, all things considered. The bat defended against a charge attack by the pissed off reindeer, it's eyes glaring and snorting in her direction. Soyeon held the perpendicular of the thrust while her feet dug into the ground as it was forcing her back. [break][break]

"I can't let him down. I can't let him down." She told herself again and again, eyeing the sharpened antlers while they pressed closer and closer to her face. Noel was there to take some of the stress off of her by attacking the sides. It was just enough for Soyeon to retaliate and bring the face of the bat against the side of the animal's head. It stumbled back enough for her to get another few smacks it until after a while of fighting, they had successfully beaten a monstrous reindeer to death! That had to count for something! "We did it!" Soyeon cheered, turning back to Dalton and Noel with a triumphant cheer. "Are you two okay?" [break][break]

Dalton was worried when the reindeer began to head toward Soyeon, but she managed to hold her own! The pair of men never expected the merchant of the group to get the killing blow. They were almost certain his friend would get run down by the creature. Somehow she not only stood her ground but also took down the beast!

It took the boys a few moments to process this after Soyeon began cheering. The pair looked back and forth between each other and the merchant before Noel cheered in return. “You did it!” The red-haired man ran up to her and tightly wrapped both of his arms around her before lifting her off the ground! He spun her around once before setting her back down.

“Yeah! We finished the mission!” Dalton laughed as he ran over to the two of them and jumped into the embrace! Luckily Noel managed to stand firm so the small man didn't knock them over. He was so excited that they were done he didn't consider the fact he could potentially topple the group.

Shortly after a message popped up notifying them that they'd completed their mission! Another one prompted the group to share what they wanted for Christmas. “Nice! This is so cool!” Dalton pulled out the info cards that were produced by his camera and displayed them to the system menu. “I want something to hold all of these in! What do you want Soyeon?”

It had indeed looked very uneasy in the middle of the battle, but somehow against all odds, Soyeon and Dalton had pulled through. The rogue reindeer was fallened, with last smack of Soyeon's bat against the side of his head was enough to lay the wary creature to rest. With her weapon raised just in case he got up once more, Soyeon set it down and celebrated her victory with the others. "Duh-duh-duh-duhhhhh dun-dun duh-duh-duhhhhhhhh!~" Noel was quick to match her enthusiasm, running to hug her and raise her off the ground before doing a spin. Once off of the ground, Soyeon went over to Dalton and showered him in affection and praise. "You two were so brave! I might have to start working out if I want to get as strong as you guys~" [break][break]

A window popped up celebrating their victory together, alongside with their rewards for completing the seasonal mission. The Christmas decorations were a bit overkill, but points were always welcomed in today's economy. Another window did open that prompted both for what they wanted for Christmas. Soyeon's eyes lit up at the question, her heart racing in joy. This was the chance to finally discover what she worried about ever since loading into this stupid little game. Dalton's was a bit what she would have assumed as such: a place to put his weird camera cards and photos at. He asjed her what she wanted as Soyeon scrolled through her phone and pointed it at the prompt window, a picture of a little girl, the striking image of her mother, on the screen. [break][break]

"This is Hana, my daughter." Soyeon began carefully, her voice full of restrained fear but hopeful. "I've been looking for her ever since I loaded in, without any clue or anything to tell me she's okay. I won't ask for anything else ever, not a single thing, but I want to see her, be able to hold her again. She's my entire reason for existing, and I need to know that she's okay." The woman dropped down onto her knees in front of the window, bringing both hands together in front of the system. "I'll do anything, whatever it takes. I'll sell everything for free, I'll walk across the entire world, I'll dig for treasure by hand, I'll kill anybody you want. Just please, let me see her again..." [break][break]

Tears dropped onto the ground below in a steady pattern, with Soyeon having to keep herself from wailing. [break][break]
