Description: There is a Need for Wood for building and heating some homes and the like, the issues is it's rather dangerous as there are so many new animals and even monsters out there that may be an issue, Please help us Gather some Wood for these needs.

Well walking further along in a more ruined part of the city he looked to the mission once more and shook his head, supplies were needed and so they got a job for it huh? Didn't that mean that the damn people around were not trying to get the resources they needed? Considering that most of the people he seen were in their early thirties to late Twenties some even younger.. he wasn't surprised that much wasn't getting done, then he looked to the Beginners guide again "Okay SOME things are getting done at least..." he grumbled "HOw old is this one then? forty? likely let their grandkid make the title and cover..." he grumbled louder as he put it back in his pocket and continued on picking up bits of wood as he went and putting them into his inventory, watching the number tick up with each one he picked up. Looking around though he seen no one else out here doing this "Damn kids not doing the important jobs.. this is the stuff you need to make shit that you enjoy here... and not one of ya is doing the damned work that needs to get done" he said to empty air as he continued walking picking up more wood and placing it into his inventory. |

As he continued to find more scrap wood to put into his inventory for the mission he continued to complain out loud "Just go off and having all the fun you want, a ruined world around you and I bet most of you are just trying to have fun doing shit you couldn't before.. not a tear shed for those that are not here.." at that thought he stopped a moment as placed a large bit of wood into his inventory and looked at the sky a moment as he thought of something.
"Now I mention it... can't really complain on that... I don't much care nor have shed a tear for anyone that isn't here... so shouldn't expect others to feel the same anyway..." he said with a shrug as he continued on, picking up more scrap wood, an old Pallet actually adding quite a bit to his mission goal but he just nodded and continued on taking the book back out to read it while he did his work, there was a lot in here other then the basics and it gave him something to do while he did the task given to him.
"Mission panel... so I can also just pick what I wanna do rather then having the system giving me something? good to know.." he said as he picked up more wood and took the time to sit down and use the large chunk of scrap wood to pull other chunks over to him as he continued to read, making the work somewhat easier at least by gathering everything in one location within reach while he took some time to sit and rest a bit.

the old man sighed as he sat there adding the collected wood to his inventory "I can't get past this stupid cover... but it's hand made too... work was put into something this stupid looking... why not just use a basic cover... then it wouldn't be eye catching I guess.. it's colorful so your not likely to overlook it... BAH whatever... least its useful.." he grumbled as he finished putting the wood away in his inventory and he stood again having rested enough, he had work to do then he could continue with other things.
"Damn world ruined... lots of things are obviously changed.." he grumbled, but at the same time it was quite where he was and he enjoyed the quite, the people that were around before clearly didn't come to this area, and as he picked up more wood to add to his inventory he stopped as he picked up a twisted and gnarled branch.. or root? Ether way it made for a nice walking stick, and so he nodded to himself and decided to use it as such, "Gonna keep this one... yeah hear that you damned system? so don't go marking this as yours!" he shook his hand at the mission panel and it then ticked back down a bit.
"Damn rights...." he said nodding before looking for more wood to add to the inventory, the going a bit easier with a walking stick to not just help him walk but to let him poke under things to reach scraps he couldn't get at before, or higher places where there was just a bit of wood that could be handy.

Turning a corner looking for a few more scraps of wood for the mission he looked up and grumbled as he seen a huge pile of old pallets and wood scraps "Damn it.. could have saved all that bending and searching if I just waited till I got here..." the issue wasn't the work it was the waste of time, so he walked over and started to gather the wood and as he placed it into his inventory he noticed the bar go down, looking a bit puzzled he took that piece back out.
Looking it over more carefully he could see it was rotted in a few places and clearly had termites at one point but they were long gone now "Then again looks like it was a good thing I bothered to do all that searching... Heh" he chuckled to himself as he tossed the useless wood away and started to go through the pile looking over all the scrap wood there. As he did so it was becoming clear that he was right in searching high and low before as more and more of the wood he was looking over now was clearly useless.
After rifling through the pile he ended up with only four good pieces of wood "Figures.. wonder how many people ended up grabbing crap wood and never noticing.. then again that would require people to give a damn about things like this eh?" he added the wood to his inventory and the mission dinged and a map showed up showing him where to take it, which wasn't that far off so he headed off.
On getting to the location he found a cart at the location that was the place to deposit the wood and so he did just that filling the cart and nodding to his job well down as he turned on his heel and headed to what looked like a park off in the distance "Bout damn time I got a chance to sit.. proper..."
