Shaking, Cecilia watched as her party was brutally devoured by the newly modified bunny. The game had no remorse - it wasn't holding back anymore. Screams and the sounds of spilt blood filled the exhibition. The small intermezzo of Cecilia's banter with the bunny was long forgotten: Paralylised in fear, the priestess, stood on top of the Skelton as the monster turned towards her. Would this be her end? The claw of the monster swung into the air. HUSH!

With the force of a truck at full speed, the monster's paw crashed into the structure shredding the bones to pieces. Luckily, Greg was extremely protective of his new friends jumping at the right time, grabbing Cecilia and gliding away. Like a scene straight out of a Sailor Moon animation, the Tuxedo Mask Lizard held Cecilia bridal style and landed on the first floor.

In a blind rage, the creature kept on slashing at the ruined exhibition. Snapping out of her fear, Cecilia composed herself looking for the injured to heal. Many had fallen in the brief fight with the monster. Yet she spotted Hilda, the dualist, holding her gushing shoulder - her arm missing. A cruel fate to lose one's daughter and arm on the same day. A tear formed on Cecilia's face as she prepared her healing prayer. With the glory of divinity, the place around her changed, taking on the vibrant blue of the high heavens as angels appeared around Hilda.

Light embraced Hilda as her wounds began to heal. Cecilia's healing magic was far from reconstructing an arm, but it was strong enough to stop the bleeding. She wouldn't die here...not know. Although, all in Hilda's expression was crying for death. "Why? WHY?", ready to charge the monster again, Hilda sprung to her feet, holding her rapier with one arm.

As the golden light of Cecilia's magic faded, she noticed something so obvious it nearly sprung at her. The monster... it had changed colour. It was far from a golden rabbit now. That must mean... it wasn't the target of the game anymore. People always praised her for her quick wit; it certainly came in handy today. "Orvis", looking for her only reasonable companion Cecilia pointed at the beast. "It changed colour! It's not our target anymore...", and the search began once more.

Orvis stumbled backwards, almost tripping up over the other group of people around him. The other players that selflessly yet stupidly decided to charge forwards were being ripped to shreds, treated like nothing more than bits of food for the rabbit beast to snack on. It made short work of them all, turning them into human kebabs, human-corn on the cobs... How did something so small and golden turn into such a beast. And to think, they still had a good chunk of time left to complete this tutorial. How was any of this fair?![break][break] Without even activating the ability himself, he saw the notification for EGG SNATCHER appear in front of him, the beast once again shimmering with code before it morphed into... An egg? It wasn't absorbed this time, but how could it, when the current egg was at full essence capacity. The beast didn't seem to notice as the code gathered behind it, converging to a point 15 feet in the air as it loaded into an egg. After a brief moment, it vanished and a notification popped up on his menu. [break][break] [basic egg] added to your [egg storage]! [break][break] At this time, while the rabbit was chowing down on players, Cecelia would attempt to heal the wounds of people around Orvis on the ground. But it didn't amount to much, limbs were missing, organs spilling, bones broken... It was another failed attempt at trying to do some good. But that's when they realised, together in unison, "This rabbit isn't gold!" [break][break] As if on queue, the familiar golden aura would start to shine from the opposite end of the room, back into the geology exhibit where they were chased from. Fucking finally, there was hope at completing this yet. "The rabbit! It was a trap, the real one is in the geology centre!" Cecilia's heart started to pound heavily in her chest as she attempted to run towards the geology exhibition. Luckily, Orvis wasn't too distracted by his second egg and spotted the golden shine. "Everyone, we have to go", with words of encouragement, Cecilia tried to regroup and finally bring this horror to an end. [break][break] Sadly, the monster wouldn't allow them to succeed. With all its might, the demon crushed its claws into the floor - destroying the pathway to the exhibition and forcing the group to take a detour. Its muscled legs pushed its grotesque body into the air only to feather its fall in front of the exit. A deadly grin appeared once more around its maw as it readied its next attack. Blood. The game was lusting for more blood. [break][break] In shock, Cecilia fell to her knees. There was not much to do anymore. Another hopeless fight against the beast had to occur. But all her companions were injured...dead even. How should they succeed? In the moment of despair, the green-haired priestess turned to the only comfort she knew - prayer. [break][break] "Dear heavenly mother, please hear my plea. Aid us to end the pain and bloodshed. In your name, I pray:

[break][break] A small golden dice started to roll across the ground - 18! With the ringing of bells, the dice disappeared into an aura of pure light filling the room. Immediately, the whole ceiling changed, opening into a vibrant blue heaven filled with celestial forces. An army of angels descended while the loudest sounds of otherworldly choirs thundered dawn upon the players. The beast screamed in agony, blinded by gods light and angered by the ethereal music. Raising its claw, it attempted to slash at the angels with no luck. A protective aurora stopped the beast as long as the heralds of heaven were completing their tasks. Attending the wounded with their golden touch, the angels lifted Hilda and the others into the air, illuminating them with divine magic. With the blessing of grace, their injuries disappeared, and Hilda's arm was reconstructed. The party's health was restored. As the music faded and angels ascended again, everyone was standing tall and mighty, fueled with a power they hadn't known before. Ready to stop the devil in front of them. [break][break] What had gone unnoticed by everyone was the tough choice Cecilia had to make in order to invoke this miracle. The dice had offered her a choice: Leave to safety alone or help those around you. For a moment, Cecilia had hesitated, but she couldn't find the selfishness in her heart to leave her comrades alone. It would have haunted her forever... maybe the choice to heal the group was selfish after all - done in fear of her own conscience. Or to not bear the suffering anymore? But was done was done! Her choice was made, and Cecilia stood amongst the others to face the dark forces. It darted about frantically, the larger enemy enraged and thrashing about violently. Rubble began to fall from above, chunks of wall being torn apart and more of the exhibition being smashed to pieces. Not wanting to worry about anything else, all he did was run. With the egg held tight in his arms, he had tunnel vision with a gold light at the end. [break][break] It wasn't getting away, not this time. They had wasted enough of their energy, and nobody could last much longer. Even with the divine intervention happening behind him, the depictions of angels and heavenly light restoring the life of their allies, all that mattered was a way out of here. Health was restored somewhat, party members on the bring of death now stabilised.[break][break] Yelping out in pain as small arrows were fired through the air and piercing his arms, Orvis kept his momentum and ignored the gecko archers that hurt him. To think he felt this much pain already, while others were continuing even with missing limbs... [break] "I..." He drew in closer, cornering the golden creature, "Will..."[break][break] Slowly stepping forwards, the rabbit beat its little feet against the ground, jumping off the walls and random information desks. Orvis slowly put his egg down somewhere safe, allowing him to have both free hands.[break][break] "Catch you!" Leaping forwards, the monster rancher pulled out an arrow from his arm, outstretching his hands and feeling a fuzzy pelt in his palm. Quickly, he gripped on tight to the rabbit as it made frantic screeching sounds, nipping his finger. With the other arrow, he plunged it into the rabbit and pinned it to the floor. With a chokehold around it's throat, he lifted it up into the air in celebration. The golden glow now fading. [break][break] |[break]

A small notification popped up, a small picture of a treasure chest with a shining aura. "Cecelia! We did it!"[break][break] When Orvis started running towards her to make sure she was okay, he would vanish into streams of coding before meeting her.[break][break] |
