The two where together finally. Unfortunately, there was no time for planning. The battle was on and Valentine got his own clean hit in on the slime creature. This in turn made the creature redirect his attention to the man. Multiple tendrils lashed at the man hitting him in the face and arm. The girl's eyes went wide as she saw the man in pain. For this was her fault. [break][break]

She was not prepared. She did not have information on this thing. She was not ready to face it. She could not take another person leaving her so soon. So she let out her own high pitch battle cry while charging at the creature. "STOP HURTING HIM!" She retracted her whip and then lunged into the air to stab the creature with the spork end of the weapon. With her weapon dug into the creatures torso area, she saw a tendril rushing for her. So she turned into her slime form to become harder to hit and filled her mouth with slime. Then she spat a blob of slime at the creature's head. [break][break]

Despite all of that, the creature would finally land one of its tendrils on the girl's body. It hurt but not as badly as it should. Her slime form gave her extra defense and resistance. So she crawled to the tendril that was on Valentine and bit into it as hard as she could. At that moment that the effects of the encasing took affect capturing her body. If she did not bit the thing, then she would have fallen off but while she was in pain, she could at least continue to be a nuisance and hopefully draw its attention.

The girl mellowed out for a moment when the guy asked his question. Was it weird to go to Canada? "Cause that's where I lived before the world changed." The girl let out a giggle in hopes to keep the atmosphere light and fun. She did not want to man to feel bad for asking. Though, she could not completely fight off her curiosity. "Have you been there? I never left my city but I think it is a nice place." If she could go back there, she wanted to go to places like Vancouver and Niagara Falls. Though looking at New York, she was a bit worried that all of it would have changed. For all she knew... the waterfall would be a magma fall and her own home would be a dessert filled with ice cream and candy monsters. Though maybe that was just her stomach talking.[break]

She continued to study the man hoping to get come clue into what he was thinking. Was he going to accept her guild request? Was he going to admit that he was a super Canada Fan? Did he just hate the place? There was so many questions. However it was fun to think about it. Every since a certain person left her life, she had been without hope but well now she had it. Was this a mistake? Should she have held herself back? Only time would tell.

With Valentine doing his scouting, Pori did her best to fireman carry the man down the hall. This creature could move through walls, so it was best to be ready to move. At least that's what her experience with slimes lead her to believe. Unfortunately, they would not be able to get far as a new eerie sound enter the arena. She looked toward the direction of the sound of scraping and scratching metal trembling. She turned Valentine with a quiet whisper, "Valentine... umm... I think.. you should wake up now. Please wake up." [break][break]

She then turned to the direction of the sound with her whip fully extended. It was just going to be her and St. Claire if Valentine didn't wake up. With hands full with her weapon and balancing Valentine, she could not use the message system that the others wanted to use. So shuffled to St. and whispered, "We need to run. "

The man said a lot of things but only one thing really caught her attention. This man use to be a chief. Her eyes widen breaking her somber expression. Cooked food was always better than just plain cold stuff. She had evolved to have desires more than put anything in her stomach. "You seem to have many experiences. Why don't you join my guild? I can help you get stronger faster and share information about the places I been." [break][break]

It was at this point that the girl was finally looking the man in the eye. She did not have a smile on her face but there was a level of energy in her face. It was like going from a black and white cartoon to one in color. With that, she also tried to answer his other question. "I heard a bunch of stories about the big apple... but I suppose, the real reason I was hear was to see if I could get into Canada." The girl was completely honest at the moment, as she really had her hopes up that the man would join.

It was time to make some points. Her guild required resources to grow stronger and become that haven she dreamed of it becoming. However, random exploring had only got her so much points. Those points she used to make herself stronger so she could be the powerful leader she needed to keep her people safe. With that being said, this was her first attempt to actually take on a job. This job came from everyone's favorite corrupted pseudo god Earth-Chan. It was not high ranking but Pori wanted to use it as an opportunity to learn how this world worked. That being said, this mission required a partner and so... what better way to learn something than to do it with a complete newbie. All she needed to do was smile and kill 5 monsters. It couldn't be that hard right?

The girl let out a sigh as the man pulled that dumb card of pretending to humor someone younger than them. She was not going to fight it. She had better things to think about than to change the opinion of a stranger. Still there was the man's question or... questions. First how long had she been here. That was a tough questions. Before, the only thing she tracked about days was the day of the week and days off from school. Outside of that, what day it was never mattered. Her life was day to day and rarely did she have the privilege to look out to the future. It wasn't until coming to this world that she was able to live somewhat comfortably and even then, it took her days to break out of the habits she grew with that. Maybe now, she started somewhat keeping somewhat count of the days to say weeks have passed. "Maybe a month... maybe more. I'm been alone most of my time so I haven't really been keeping track." She was hesitate to answer her age though, "Its rude to ask a lady her age." The girl turned away, hiding behind the phrase she heard plenty of women say. [break][break]

"It doesn't matter anyway. What matters is if you can stay alive... and I have fought hard to do that." The girl somber expression turned to something more stoic. "Anyone who get stuck on things that don't matter. Is weak in this world."
