Saint was used to thrills and a adrenaline rush every so often, in fact he often liked it. Hence why his source of income usually came in illegal ways. But this, this was entirely different than his regular rushes. What was happening right now didn't make any sense to him at all, he had no words for it. This had to be the most powerful earthquake ever, and that giant mysterious light only made things even stranger. Luckily his brother was right next to him, but what about his sister his parents. Were they ok?
"We can't stay here any longer."
"R-r-right." The words from his brother snapped him back to reality, he was right. They couldn't stay here, they had to find somewhere more secure and stable. It was a risk, but it was risk they had to take. Val was looking over the counter and the lack of response told Saint what he needed to know. It wasn't looking good at all. He could tell from the sounds things had to look horrible, people screaming and debris just falling over and over. People were probably dying out there. Saint's heart started to race and he took a deep breath to calm him down. Just like he did before he was about to pull off a big job. Or like the first couple of times his brother and him had to fight to defend themselves from bullies. Val spoke he had the same thoughts as Saint, they had to contact their parents and sister somehow. He placed his hand on Val's arm to reassure him. Then to Mio to make sure she was ready for a run.
A simple reassuring head nod was all that needed for the two brothers. Saint had complete trust in his brother they always had each others back no matter what the situation. This was no different. "Y-y-yea. Ok. Got it." he replied to his brother with confidence. On the third count each of them took off sprinting towards the hospital at full speed. Suddenly the earthquake seemed over, but that didn't make things look better. The outside was a complete wreck and the towering monolith way out in the distance didn't make things any better. It was releasing digital like energy pulses every few seconds, and it seemed to be having quite the crazy effect on the earth itself. This was like something in a fantasy book or video game, or like an anime but the fact that it was real was terrifying.
Saint's main focus was getting to the hospital right now, like his brother suggested. Seeing it upfront things chaotic to say the least, bodies and destruction was all over. Looking back at the cafe and now that was wreck in a sink hole, if they had stayed there they would have died. Val came up with the idea of heading towards the back entrance of the hospital. And without wasting a beat Saint started to make his way over after Val and Mio. "How the fuck is this happening? What the fuck is happening, just what the fuck." Saint stared to ask questions out loud, but he didn't expect any answers. He just needed to let it all out.
There was door that Val tried to open but it didn't budge, it probably needed Saint's expertise. But before he could step towards the door, A large blue screen popped up in front of him. It totally caught Saint off guard he had to take a step back and look around to see if he was loosing his mind.
Saint made a confused looking face, and saw the same screen had popped up for Mio and for Val. Just what the hell was this? Was this connected to the monolith releasing that digital like energy. Was this truly some kind of game? There was no way this was real, so he simply tried to ignore it and walk past it. But it just followed him with the same message, would pop up again right in front of him. "Ok! What do you want?!" Saint asked in frustration.
Saint had even a more confused look on his face, he didn't have time for this. He had to get that door open and get Mio and his brother inside so they can start looking for the rest of their family. So without a care in the world he simply tried to swipe the screen away, unaware that he actually chose his class. He started to run towards the door, taking out a some tool from his inside jacket pocket.
Saint ignored it completely his main focus was getting into the building and getting the others to safety. He had no time for fake game screens. Although for some crazy odd reason, the memories of the fake old voodoo talisman he stole when he was kid started to come back to him. He had no idea why those memories came back now, but he had to focus. Before he started to pick the lock of the door, a surge of energy came over him. Then a chill came down his spine, like the ones he used get listening to those old ghost stories until he convinced himself ghosts and spirits weren't real. But shook his head focusing on his goal and that was getting this door, and after just a few seconds he managed it. The back door was open for them to enter. "You know I can." he replied to his brother a small smirk on his face.
As they entered another blue screen came up [Tutorial]
Saint had the same confused look on his face, his mind was starting to put together what was happening. But he still wasn't mentally ready to accept it just yet. Anime, games, fantasy books, ghosts spirits they weren't real. So neither was this. But that didn't explain the gigantic monolith outside that sending out massive ways of digital like energy. "Val do you see that?" he asked his brother, but he wasn't talking about the blue screen. He pointed to a group of walking skeletons coming down a hall way, there was about six of them. Saint rubbed his eyes and looked again the skeletons were still there, and now making their way towards them. "There's no way any of this is real...there's no way."
