"Jeremy did what?" His tone remained calm, each word said delicately slow. There was an unmistakable heft to his words; it was heavy, but with a soft façade. An ominous atmosphere His brows furrowed as he rubbed his face in dismay. Unbelievable, he thought to himself, this kid had an uncanny ability to simply find the worst of the worst.
[break][break]Vincent sighed. Here they were again. "You're thirteen." He uttered. "And you've been in jail for, what? At least three times. If you just took my offer from the start then-" He cut himself short, knowing it was pointless to go on. Again, Vincent sighed, there was no way he could convince him, he knew. Simeon said it himself, he didn't want Vincent offering him his house, not again.
[break][break]"You knew everyone would be too busy looking up at the sky to look for you tonight, didn't you." He grimaced. Vincent took another sip of his coffee, it was now lukewarm at best, its temperature brought down a notch by the cold breeze of the night. The mood was rather sour, undeniably so, but he tried his best to refrain from further ruining their now infrequent meet-ups. "Finish your drink." He said, sternly, commanding almost.

"I told you not to do that again." He sighed in disappointment. "Didn't you break your ankle last time you did that?" He added, gesturing towards the roof with his finger pointed upwards, referring to Sim's stunt from earlier. "Or was that me?"
[break][break]Simeon wasn't exactly his brother by blood, never related in any sense. It was never even agreed upon either, instead, it felt more so like a mutual understanding of brotherhood the two had as children. And much like any other little brother, Simeon was, for the lack of a better word, a foolhardy nuisance at times. But he cared for him much like his real sibling; able to forgive and forget, able to look past his many shortcomings.
[break][break]His order came, coffee for him and whatever sweet frappe the coffee shop had for Sim, matcha flavored, or so he recalled. Vincent took one short glance up, eyeing the meteors as they lit up the sky. They were, indeed, quite the sight. They were unnaturally close just as the scientists told them, just how rare of an occasion it might be, Vincent had no clue.

The two of them did seem like they're up to no good, however, they were incognito for two very different reasons. Simeon simply wanted to avoid the feds from ever noticing him, Vincent on the other hand simply wanted to avoid puplic attention for being the son of two well known personalities.

He was set ablaze and flung up towards the ceiling with harsh force, was he doing all that? He didn't know. So many questions, yet so little answers. [break][break] — RELEASE THE GENTLE CHORDS OF YOUR MELODY TO THOSE AROUND YOU, FILLING AN AREA WITH THE SONG OF A CHOIR. MONSTERS / CLASSES ASSOCIATED WITH DARKNESS AND EVIL WILL BE BURNT AND FLUNG UP 15 FEET INTO THE AIR. — [break][break] "What!?" He hissed at what he had just read. But why weren't giant rats affected by his hymn? Were they not monsters? He had nothing he could do but watch the man before him burn as he himself remain suspended mid air, pondering. Monsters associated with darkness and evil, perhaps? Were they not? And just what class did the brunette had to warrant its effects on him. With his mind occupied with all these questions, he failed to notice that the very same stick of dynamite the brunette had just recieved from his magic briefcase was headed towards him, and it was lit. Vincent got knocked down and thrown against the upper corner of the left most wall before falling face first down the floor, his wings gone and choir song abruptly cut. All that remained was ringing in his ears. He passed out for a second or two, enough to dimiss whatever ability he had that was causing the brunette, and him, much trouble. "I-" He coughed. "I'm sorry I- It was out of my control..." The silver haired man wheezed as he struggled to prop himself up from the floor. "Can we please not do any of that again..." Blood trickled down from the top of his head onto his forehead, something he didn't mind so long as he was alive. [break][break]On the bright side, giant rats of that floor were already done for. He surprised himself with what he was able to do, a feat of strength he didn't know he had in him. Somehow, it felt bot natural and unnatural at the same time. He watched as the brunette before him performed what could only be called a magic trick, that being the sudden appearance of a mask along with a briefcase in the brunette's hand. "Huh?" He uttered in unison with the man. During that very moment, Vincent himself felt something change within him. [break][break] — CORE ACTIVATED — [break][break]A pair of sizable spectral wings appeared behind him, seemingly sprouting from underneath his shoulder blades. They were semi-transparent, holographic almost, with a faint white glow enough to illuminate him within the dark. "Excuse me?" Confused, Vincent uttered. Before he could realize it, both his feet were then off the ground, his wings barely even flapping. He shot up from the groud at an impressive speed. Hitting his head rather hard against the ceiling, the silver haired man winced. With the side of his head smushed flat against the ceiling, it was a rather unflattering appearance for an otherwise beautiful showcase of his ability. [break][break]Any and all remaining monsters came rushing underneath him. All were seemingly hesitant to attack, as though intimidated by his mere presence. Instead, they simply gathered underneath him, observing him, all weary of his next move. [break][break] — REELING ACTIVE — [break][break] "They're distracted." He groaned. "If you have anything, do it now." Though most may consider such a predicament to be rather shameful, Vincent thought otherwise. Being close to all possible ways to head deeper into the building, Vincent noticed through his peripherals, albeit barely, that one of them slipped in without word. He was more than prepared to qualm the masses, deliver a rallying speech, and maybe even formulate a plan. But those had to wait. Instead, he followed suit, trailing a certain brunette who decided it was best to act alone.
[break][break]"You really think it's a good idea to come in alone, unprepared?" He uttered as he came near. He, however, had no intention to command such a foolhardy man to return; it would only bring forth more unwarranted stress to an already stressful scenario. Instead, he found the situation as an ideal opportunity to scout the location.
[break][break]Not once did he notify the brunette that he'll be tagging along, instead, he simply kept on following in silence. Should he chose to protest or ignore Vincent's actions, all his qualms would fall on deaf ears; just as he'd expect the brunette to react with his own words. Minutes passed on by with utter silence, a few faint scampering sounds here and there but nothing much to warrant further caution. Just then, from within the dark, multiple pairs of bright red eyes lit up.
[break][break]Gigantic gray furred rodents, all about 3 feet in height, slowly creeped their way out towards the light. A group of four. All of four glared at them both as they salivate, sizing the two of them up as they prepared to go on the offensive. "Well, damn." He grimaced, noticing he had nothing to defend himself with. "That's messed up." He added. Looks like their competitor's rat based mascot finally had something to say to him.
[break][break]One of four giant rodents came rushing in, headed straight for Vincent, skipping the brunette entirety. A moment of fear filled his heart, afraid it might've been the end of him. However, he still had the will to live. He intercepted the lunging rat with one straight kick to its head, landing perfectly, and knocking the giant rat into a daze for a while. He could've sworn to have seen the giant rodent flinch and cower the moment he launched his counterattack, but at the time being, he dismissed that thought as mere wishful thinking.
