A figure rose from the center of the room. The sheets pooled around its waist, and under it was an additional sheet stained with dried blood. Its mouth opened into a silent yawn lined with razor-sharp teeth, and it cracked its neck, relieving itself after a night sleeping in a strange position.
The figure looked around. Silver eyes go to the tall structure of scratched wood and sisal fabric. It reeked of feline. Most of this space, in fact, was a hodgepodge of different creatures that the figure could parse and identify individually.
But its attention was drawn to the one in the corner of the room.
Slipping out of the futon, it attempted to rise to full height, only to pause, teeth gritting as it moved its hand over a spot on its side. It felt bandages. The bullet wound had been painstakingly cleaned and dressed. It could be seen in the dim light, gauze peeking between the shorn pieces of what had once been a treasured heirloom.
The figure slowly walked, carefully maneuvering past a maze of spread cat and dog toys. There was a little dog asleep in its bed near the TV and three other curled blobs of fur that smelled to be cats, though these the figure couldn’t guess if they were awake or merely pretending to be.
It reached the sofa. A head tilted in curiosity. It leaned over the couch with brows furrowed, mouth pulled into a frown, and reached for the occupant’s sleeping face, intending first and foremost to shut him up. A much taller man. The transformation waited until they had arrived at his apartment, giving him just enough time to pull everything out before a bark from Pepero alerted him to the change.
Thankfully, the man was clothed.
However, he still had to remove his clothes to the best of his ability in order to clean, disinfect, and bandage the injury on his side. Without anything else to put him in, Min-su simply pulled down the original... robe? He didn't entirely know what to call it, only knowing that it was made with fur.
After cleaning the patient up and tucking him into the futon on the floor, Min-su set about with everything else he had planned to do. He cleaned (sort of - someone kept pulling the toys back out), he showered, he did laundry, and he prepared several side dishes to last him a few weeks (or a single week if a certain guest decided to stay long enough).
By the time he was done with his chores, all done as quietly as possible, it was already well into the witching hour. He prepared for bed and grabbed a spare blanket before laying on the sofa.
He was out for only a few hours before he could feel a presence looming over him.
And then a hand over his mouth.
His eyes shot open with alarm, yet he did not make a sound. Pepero, however, immediately barked himself awake from the other side of the room, startling the cats in the process. Min-su blinked his eyes until they focused, registering the face of the man he had patched up. He mumbled into the hand, something along the lines of, you're awake. At least he wasn’t putting up a fight. Still, he didn’t move his hand, knowing that perhaps the greatest threat about this one lied in his words.
“When I take off my hand, you are going to answer me,” he instructed, voice low. “Don’t do… whatever it is that you did when I wasn’t myself.”
He could still remember that odd sensation he felt when he was a leopard. The instant soothing enforced by that disjointed voice that only now he’s able to give a face to; a face which really, did not seem threatening, being made of soft features and only faint signs of wear from little claws and teeth.

Blinking with surprise, his chin tilted upward, finally realizing their height difference. His eyes followed the man as he ducked out to feed the many pets around. The hand that had been hovering over the bandages wrapping his midsection tensed, feeling underneath it not just the sting of a recovering wound but the sudden onslaught of crippling hunger.
He hadn’t eaten since he was knocked out. He hadn’t eaten even before that because there hadn’t been anything left.
His body’s tremors abated just long enough for him to detect the scent of something good. As the other man busied himself with feeding the others, Yuki’s feet took him past the gathering.
And straight into the fridge.
Loud clatters were heard as he raided the unfortunate appliance, practically shoving his entire front into its icy compartments in search of something edible. He was oblivious to the tail that was now waving behind him, and to the ears that poked out of his head when he pulled from the fridge long enough to show a string of uncooked sausage links dangling from his mouth, pinched between fangs.

The thought cut off, disturbed by the clattering. His eyes first snapped to the place he had left the leopard shapeshifter, finding it void of his patient. He turned on his heel toward the direction of the sound, where the refrigerator was wide open. A long and fluffy tail swished in the air past the door, the clearest indicator of who was raiding his fridge.
It was cute, really, but Min-su made sure to keep that to himself this time.
He slowly crept toward the appliance door; though, his attempt to not startle the other man reversed on him when the stranger's head suddenly appeared. Min-su flinched before suppressing the surprise in favor of staring at the uncooked meat hanging from his teeth.
The sight itself still rendered as cute, but Min-su still refused to utter a single syllable about it.
"Ah!" He quickly closed the distance, a hand reaching for the handle of the refrigerator door separating them. "You shouldn't eat that raw." Even if he was... part leopard? He was uncertain if that changed his dietary needs, but that did not change a thing. He resisted the impulse to snatch the sausages away, knowing there was no safe zone to protect him here. Instead, he peered past the fridge door, wilting at the disarray of the contents of his fridge.

An instinctive part of him recoiled at the proximity of the guy to his food, his teeth biting deeper into the meat in fear of it being taken away. Another part of him, the part that would have been embarrassed by the correction, was drowned out by the pain of near-starvation.
Thankfully, the meat wasn’t yanked out of his mouth; an act that in all likelihood would’ve been rewarded with jaws. Instead, the guy thoughtfully offered to cook breakfast, and at the offer of more delicious food, Yuki felt his stomach rumble audibly. There were ingredients in the fridge he had never heard of, ingredients that smelled incredible but from trial and error tasted like hell and tried to burn his tongue inside out. Surely there was a way to make them palatable.
Slowly, he nodded, and nudged just so out of the man’s way, ears and tail drooping slightly with disappointment as he moved from the food source (though not quite enough for a wide berth in personal space).
He made no move to remove the sausage links from his teeth. As he watched the man, eagerly waiting for him to cook, he appeared almost strangely oblivious to it.
