As they ran through the forest carrying the containers now filled With Cavepod's she explained "Waddle-dee's rarely increase in numbers! when they need more Waddle-dee's usually the fountain of dreams makes more or a Wapod will split into two and make one new Waddle-dee! if there are to many in an area they will split up so they don't do damage to the land they are very conscious of the land and just naturally live in harmony with it, that's why they adapt to different environment so well" she explained as they travelled as she wanted Idir to understand the Waddle-dee as much as possible.

Finally they got back and it was rather clear the CaveDee were all getting well fed as they sat around and some were even running around playing, it was a nice sight to see, clearly the food raised moral, Seeing them TreeDee waved to them and Dee Dee walked up and set the containers down and the CaveDee gathered around, and looked at the containers then to Idir as he made he proclaimed they solved the issue. then a Cavepod popped out of one of the containers and waved and the CaveDee waved back.

Then out of one of the containers a new CaveDee popped out and waved energetically to the others who all waved back and were quite happy, and they ran over and hugged their returned friend then they hugged Dee Dee and even Idir lifting the two up and carrying them over to the food circle they had made, Dee Dee then looked to BombDee "Explain to them would you?" And BombDee gave a salute and started to explain, and of course there was no sound since Waddle-dee language was silent to those that didn't understand it.

meanwhile Dee Dee was petting TreeDee who had wandered over to join them and the Waddle-dee looked rather content, and a CaveDee wandered over and seen TreeDee being petted and ran to the other side of Dee Dee and lifted her hand and placed it on it's head ]"Ooga!" the CaveDee said and Dee Dee smiled and pets him as well, with a few going over to Idir and wanting head pats a swell clearly.

As BombDee explained Dee Dee looked to Idir "Well with that figured out I think we are done here, lets relax a bit with the CaveDee and then leave later okay?" the word bubble suggested as she sat there looking quite content.

Dee Dee finished with the Graves she was tasked with, making sure nothing was left behind, leaving a small prayer as well and already the cold feeling in the air was clearing, and Idir made mention about why the CaveDee's would have attacked him, maybe he looked more like the ones that had come here to cause the problem, and he was also right about the fact that the portals and quests were random really so really the group could have just been doing the mission they were given but still it made her feel a bit upset though her expressionless face gave none of that away "Yes I know, but at least they didn't get to violent, I think they are more peaceful then anything else they were just worried that their ancestors would be disturbed even more.... wait...".

Dee Dee looked at the graves a moment something seemed off, Graves for Waddle-dee? that wasn't right... Waddle-dee Turn into Wapods and find.... Dee Dee started to look around and sure enough now that she was looking for it she found where things like clay pots and bits of broken wicker baskets used to be, she looked up and seen the spirits were still around as well but they didn't seem as violent and she was really glad she knew so much about Waddle-dee now "Waddle-dee don't die.. they turn into Wapod and find a container to inhabit in a safe place to reform into a Waddle-dee again though it takes time... these aren't Graves... this is the safe place they go to look you can see remnants of the containers they used... the people that came here must have busted them open to get the things inside instead of just opening them.."

Dee Dee started to take out some supplies from her inventory and started to quickly make some boxes "Bive me a moment" all of her words of course were being conveyed through her Word Bubble as she and BombDee quickly made some boxes and she even took out an old large Jar she found when scavenging and popped a lid on in, and with each one completed a spirit would fly into one of the containers "No wonder I didn't recognize the Spirits, just like the CaveDee they are a little Different too these are Wapods! without a waddle-doo around they couldn't tell the CaveDee to make new containers! they must have been using the food to stay more visible... see they are going into the containers!"

Finalyl as the last container was done and closed a CaveDee Wapod popped up, which Dee Dee decided to call a CavePod, it looked like a spirit form of the CaveDee except where feet would be it instead had atail like portion that went down and attached to the container "YAY they will come back if they are taken care of! Maybe the CaveDee didn't know this?" she blinked a bit but she had TreeDee and BombDee here to explain it so she gave Idir a thumbs up "We need to let them know lets go!" and with that she and BombDee picked up as many containers as they could an dstarted ot rush back to where the CaveDee and TreeDee where

Dee Dee had helped the Waddle-dee with the food and so did BombDee and TreeDee, the good news was the CaveDee? yeah she was gonna called them CaveDee, where friendly with her, but it seemed Idir was having a bit of an issue as he had smacked the one that threw the coconut at him in the head with an apple, and then another CaveDee clearly looking to get even with Idir for smacking one of them with an apple, tossed the man into the river before laughing and rushing off, well at least it was some harmless payback right? and from his mutterings Idir was trying to make sure he didn't attack the CaveDee's which was likely a good thing since they were clearly very strong, and they also would likely protect each other and she knew Idir was strong but there were a lot of CaveDee around.

It was then that things got darker and she noticed the difference in the CaveDee, a few even ran over and picked her, BombDee and TreeDee up and carried them away from the food pile and put them in with the rest of the CaveDee some even piling up on Dee Dee to keep her hidden, only her face being visible, which oddly only made it more clear that she looked very waddle-dee like. Regardless she seen the spirits that took the food leaving none for the CaveDee and they even scared the little guys, that wasn't fair! but the CaveDee clearly were scared of the creatures and as they left Dee Dee gently pets the CaveDee to calm them down, taking some food out of her inventory to give to them, which they ate happily and stayed near her.

Then the mission update popped up and Dee Dee read it. her eyes going wide as she realized these Waddle-dee were in trouble and she wouldn't stand for this... well she would stand for this, she would stand and go find out what was causing this to the Waddle-dee! but first she needed to make sure they had food so she looked at TreeDee, she was so glad she had gotten the little guy, and they nodded and rushed over to a large cluster of fruit trees and bushes and they activated their ability to make plants grow rapidly, which caused the fruits to start growing back rapidly, it would take a bit but she would leave TreeDee there to help make sure the CaveDee would be fed.

The CaveDee noticed though and they gathered around TreeDee, some getting their clubs and others sticks and they formed a protective circle around the helpful Waddle-dee, clearly understanding that he was helping them. It was Touching to Dee Dee to see this and she walked over to Idir "I am going to leave TreeDee here to help them get more food, they must be starving already, we need to go figure out what is troubling the Waddle-dee and put a stop to it!" the word bubble informed him as she got ready to go with him in the best lead they had, the direction the spirits left in.

Dee Dee looked at Idir "Yeah the gates will take us to a different place or world or something not really sure on that one, most gates are random, some are somewhat stable and will take you to the same place sometimes... I think... Ether way this one is a bit more prominent due to the fact that friendly creatures live near it, but somethings been causing issues at the portal" she confirmed as they hopped into the gate and got transported to another place or world, Looking around Dee Dee brought out BombDee for now to get another set of eyes out, and she was about to summon more when Idir pointed out something and Dee Dee grabbed BombDee and hid behind a rock that no normal sized person could hide behind, Dee Dee and BombDee on the other hand easily were able to hide behind it.

Looking over Dee Dee grabbed her Word bubble so it wouldn't float above or around the rock as she peeked around the rock, blinking a bit as the words "What are those?" popped up on the word bubble, Though she looked at them, then to BombDee who was watching as well then back to the creatures and she then took out her note book and started to make scketches of them and taking notes on what they were seeing of them as they wandered around, seemingly gathering some fruits and plants growing in the area and putting them in rather cruedly made woven baskets, clearly gathering food.

Though she did notice many had simply weapons like clubs and wore furs so they clearly where ready to defend themselves if needed so it was best to stay out of sight for now at least to get a better Idea about the creatures, though for some reason Dee Dee felt like she should know what they were.

Dee Dee thought about that, for a moment and realized Hikari might be misunderstanding something, a wording from the system, and so she would think to bring it up "Just be careful and make sure you have a pet or a Summon, from what I understand there is a difference, though I consider my friends here as friends not pets or summons"b she picked up and hugged BombDee while reaching out to pet the others, did she favor BombDee? Maybe a little but she made sure she let the others know she treasured them They were all her friends, she also favored Kramer a bit to due to him being her first summon, those two being the only two with the marks of friendship on them as of now, she still had a third use of it but she was keeping it for now as she had found a good use of it with BombDee before to give him a stat he didn't have and make him more survivable then he had been.

"but I do hope you find some gear once your friend hatches! and don't worry if I find any that I don't need for my friends or I think would suit your friend better I will trade it to you no problem!" she gave a thumbs up very glad but then Hikari asked if she had some and Dee Dee nodded she always equipped her friends when she thought they would be going into danger after all. She wanted them to be as safe as possible and the best way to do that was to get them gear they themselves could use to help make up for things they may lack or give them support they may need.

"Yes I have a few actually! here lemme get them" she opened her inventory and popped out the gear she had that she used the most with her team "This is the Ruby Collar, it gives a passive regen effect, that while not very strong it can also provide a sudden boost of healing, I usually give this to Kramer since he can fly and of all my Summons he is the most mobile so hitting him with my healing aura ability would be hard or he might be out of range, this takes care of that issue!" she put the Collar away after showing it to Hikari and reached into her inventory for another bit of gear.

"This is the Combat Familiar's Armor, I got this when visiting the forge and mixed my Pet Armor with a metal element crystal, it got me this sturdy piece of gear that can fortify itself to make it even tougher and best of all it regenerates itself if broken up to three times before it vanishes into my inventory to fully self repair, I usually give this to BombDee since he is usually in melee and has a lower defense then the other two melee familiars I have so it helps him keep up and stops him from getting to injured" she popped the armor back into her inventory after letting Hikari see it then reached for the next piece.

"And finally this is the Deerstalker hat ain't it cute? it's used to allow my pet to enter stealth so they cannot be perceived by the enemy, it also makes their first attack from stealth stronger, I used to give this to Jimmy all the time when he was a larva as he wasn't to fast or tough for a while so it was more of a safety measure so enemies wouldn't target him, now I give it to him cause he can use it's stealth to deal more damage if needed, or to get into position for combination attacks!" she let Hikari see the hat as well before putting it away her word bubble having explained all the items she showed her.

"They are good Items, and really help out with my team they fill in gaps or solve problems that they might have or had, and help to make them stronger and more variable in their tactics!" the word bubble expressed for her.

the path was a rather decent walk to the destination, and once they got there there was a large Tree standing before them and it was HUGE Dee Dee was looking up at it, everything looked larger to the small girl but this tree clearly was quite large, though something Tommy said made her look back down to see a Tablet with a riddle on it and she blinked a bit, she was about to walk over and give it a read when Hikari did just that so Dee Dee let her do so, she listened to the riddle that Hikari spoke aloud and Dee Dee had it give it a bit of a think, great as she was with skills and the like, things like this were hard to be good at from just training, she was good at making up riddles but not solving them, that required a whole different type of skill training.

But thankfully Hikari had the answer after a bit of time and Dee Dee gave a thumbs up to the tall woman it was good that it wasn't asking a specific one of them them the question like Dee Dee or they would be in a lot of trouble with how long it would likely take her to figure it out. But then magical text appeared on the tree. and as the woman touched it the runes glowed and lifted off the tree swirling around the group before settling into the air a foot away from the tree's bark the words having been translated for them likely by the Guardial tree itself.

I ask this of the small one, What word becomes Shorter when you add letters to it?" the words floating there queried.

Dee Dee blinked, it was asking her directly, but to make sure she pointed at herself and the tree seemed to understand as new words popped up "Yes you"

Dee Dee nodded then looked at the others and blinked a few times then back to the riddle she was presented with this made no sense to her, what word becomes shorter when you add letters to it? She started to think of all the words and their spelling trying to figure out what the answer could be. As she continued to think for a good bit she took out her folding chair and placed it down and took a seat on it to continue thinking on what the answer could be, BombDee even walked over to her and Dee Dee picked up the Waddle-dee and set him on her lap as she gently pet him thinking while the Waddle-dee looked quite pleased and content with where it was right now.

Dee Dee continued to think about the answer looking up for a moment now and again as she seemingly came to an answer then shaking her head and looking back down at BombDee as she gently pets him and continued to think. Eventually she took out a couple of tomatonators from her inventory and gave one to BombDee who happily accepted and started to nibble away on it while Dee Dee did the same with her own as she continued to try to think of the answer. She didn't want to be the reason they didn't complete the mission after all.

Then after she finished the meal with BombDee she blinked a moment then looked back up at the words then she blinked a moment and then looked at the others, that same expressionless look on her face before she looked back to the words floating there "Short?" her word bubble asked.

The runes glowed a moment then started to swirl as the word "correct" showed for a moment before the runes swirled around Tommy before forming a new riddle for the man.
